I've been playing since the beginning of October of 2025 where I am on pretty much everyday, only taking maybe 1 day a month off and I am usually on around 8-9pm to 3-4am EST everyday unless something comes up or I have plans.

What is your motivation for applying?:
I've had a few interactions up at shrine on my characters that I've always enjoyed and my most favorite thing to do is have the roleplay interactions to have a tarot card reading, I've always been fascinated with the supernatural on the spirituality, natural elements and spirits or divine powers in a way that their is no definite or single founder of Shintoism. I also love traditional Japanese culture in general, having studied a few things here and there or watched documentaries about it but would love to engage in roleplay about it while also learning more of what I can.

What do you currently know about Shintoism? Are you willing to learn more about it?:
I don't know a lot about it, all I know is that it's focused on spirits or divine powers that reside in natural elements and focuses more on maintaining cleanliness or purity rather than sins. As I mentioned above, I'd love to learn more about it as well though.

Character Full Name:
-She would gently sit down in the seat across the desk with 1 leg over the over while sitting up straight in a professional demeaner as she would be wearing a white blouse, smooth navy colored skirt, brown pantyhose, black heels and a silver necklace with her copper ginger hair tied neatly into a ponytail. She keeps a gentle yet confident gaze as she gives a soft friendly smile when the interview process begins- "Ryn Myers".

Character Title:
-Ryn holds her resume on her lap, her hands gently folded on top of each other on the blue folder containing her resume while maintaining the confident and professional posture- "Ms. is fine but feel free to call me Ryn as i don't mind."

Character Age:
-Ryn would slide her ID onto the desk to show proof of age and residence of being a citizen of Karakura as she speaks, in case the interviewer needs to write down any information from her ID- "I'm currently 25 years old."

Character Marital Status:
-Ryn softly smiles, having a gentle gaze in her eyes as she remains in a proper, up right, posture while maintain eye contact to remain respectful- "I am single, never been married."

Character Nationality:
-A soft smirks spreads across her face for a brief moment as she thinks back of her life in America, glancing off to the side for a brief moment before quickly maintaining eye contact again with a polite smile- "I am American from the United States, more specifically the southern state of Florida where I had a rocky childhood and wanted to move elsewhere to hopefully start a new life and I've always loved Japanese culture, so I moved here to Karakura."

-At this moment she would gently hand over the blue folder that contains her resume that has further information within it and provides a bit of more detail as she speaks- "I've been away from Karakura for a while now as I flew out to Minato, Japan where I attended Keio University to study Sociology, Politics, Law and Legal Studies, Economics and Econometrics and Public Policy. I got a master's degree in Master of Laws (LL.M.) in Global Legal Practice." -Ryn runs 2 fingers to gently brush her bangs out of her face with a soft smile before she continues speaking- "I always watched, read and even studied the supernatural from a variety of cultures actually, but focused more on Japan due to my fascination with traditional Japanese culture because studying the supernatural in a respectful way was my happy place that i enjoyed doing to whine down."

Backstory:
-She softly exhales as she seems a bit disappointed in what she is about to say while slightly adjusting herself within the seat but still maintain good posture with a friendly smile upon her face- "I mainly just volunteered for certain local organizations or positions within the area related to my studies to get a more hands on learning experience whenever I had the free time to do so, other than that I was just a waitress at a local fancy restaurant not far from the University to maintain income for school expenses. I am hoping to get my first career within Karakura as I consider it my home and would love to contribute to society in a positive way." -She softly sighs as she thinks back on her past, taking a deep breath for a moment before lifting her eyes to meet with theirs once again.- "I grew up in a basically on the streets, my family was a bunch of thugs where my mother was affiliated but ended up losing her life during a shoot out back in America. Once I moved to Karakura, I still had it rough for a few months until I finally was able to get free from it because I came here with no knowledge of how things worked or what to be careful about, but I wish to make some sort of a difference for people by providing some sort of guidance in hopes to save them from going through the type of life I went through or at least knowing they aren't alone in those types of struggles."

CHARACTER KNOWLEDGE / SITUATIONS:

How does your character act around shrine grounds? How do they interact with guests and other staff?:
Ryn would mainly keep to herself if no one is around on the shrine grounds, unless spoken to or approached as she does some chores or duties around the shrine while it's vacant, but if there is guests she would approach them with a warm smile to kindly welcome them to shrine and proceed to ask if there is anything she could assist them with. During down time. Ryn would interact with other staff to get to know them better and to see if they perhaps would like any assistance with something regarding shrine or on shrine grounds once she's completed her own responsibilities. Ryn tends to remain calm, collected, polite but isn't hyper or energetic like a child or super joyful anime girl; instead, Ryn gives off a classy gal type of vibe that is polite with a southern charm and this would be noticeable when she interacts guests, staff or simply observed by people as she tends to relax with Earl Gray tea in a peaceful spot by water during the mornings or late evenings too.

You see a guest jumping around the roofs of the building and overall disrespecting shrine grounds, how would your character handle it?:
Ryn would remain calm, polite and professional as she would approach the disruptive guest to inform them that what they are doing is highly disrespectful to shrine while politely asking them to get down and request that they please don't do this again because this is a sacred place of healing and spiritual insight, not a jungle gym. Ryn would avoid escalating the situation and insulting the guests as she attempts to convince them to get down, but if these guests were to continue after she already asked them politely twice to get down and not to continue such behavior on shrine grounds; she would inform them that continuation of such behavior will result in her contacting KPD to have them escorted off shrine grounds.

Why does your character want to become a shrine maiden/priest? What do they wish to achieve?:
Ryn wants to help guide people down the right path in hopes to avoid the rough lifestyle she went through by being there for those who usually get turned away, to have someone that truly understands them and willing to help them. A friend helped clear her mind in order to locate a more suitable path, a path less travelled by in her eyes but promised warmth like a motherly hug and she wishes to do the same for others regardless of their background, because she believes anyone can change their ways as long as someone is willing to hear their pleas, Ryn will be that someone for others.

What are the core values of your character? (OPTIONAL - MORE INFO IN FAQ):
Ryn is a caring person despite her rough background, if you have her back and show you care for her as an equal, then she will take a blade for you. She's always been level-headed, calm, collected, loyal, friendly and rather mature even when she was younger but did have a bit of a mischievous playful side at times with those she is close to. Ryn is disciplined, so she is respectful in nature to not only people but locations as well and she will do as she is instructed to do no matter what because she's aware you may have to do things you don't wish to do but must do to get the job done or for the sake and safety of others around you. Ryn tries to give advice or comfort to those who come to her in order to provide some sort of guidance to those that people tend to turn a blind eye toward because she's understanding.
