Ray's story begins with tragedy. At just seven years old, he discovered his parents' dead bodies - a moment that would forever change his life. Soon after, fate intervened as a ship picked him up, carrying him to the Mikage orphanage. It was the MikageNishiki branch that became his new home, setting the stage for an unconventional upbringing.
This was no ordinary orphanage. Run by ex-yakuza, it was a place where children learned more than just academic basics. Ray, along with other kids, received training in self-defense and various skills that would prove crucial in the years to come.
Life at the orphanage was marked by repeated trauma. Ray watched as guardian after guardian died, each loss chipping away at his sense of normalcy. As a result, his grasp on common sense began to slip away. In its place grew an overwhelming need to protect those around him, a trait that would define his character moving forward.
Eventually, Ray and his fellow orphans had enough. They orchestrated an escape from Osaka, making their way to Karakura. It was a journey fraught with challenges, but one that promised a new beginning.
In Karakura, Ray began to build a new life. He formed relationships that would become vital to him, creating a network of connections in this unfamiliar city. Despite this fresh start, he never forgot his roots. Even as he was adopted into the Aiuchi clan, Ray continued to keep a watchful eye on the kids from the Mikage orphanage.
Now, Ray stands at a crossroads. Part of new society yet still tied to his past, he navigates a complex web of loyalties and responsibilities. His journey, shaped by loss, survival, and the bonds he's forged, continues in the streets of Karakura.
