Backstory: TRIGGER WARNING
Ray was born February, Friday 13, 2004. She was born in Miami, Florida to Charlie Chavez and Joanne Chavez. She was an only child. She grew up in a Christian home. She was homeschooled and didn't have any friends growing up. Around the age of 12, she started questioning her sexuality. Also around this time, her dad started to sexually assault her. He would grope her and would always look her up and down then smirk. One night, her mom wasn't home and he tried to take advantage of her. She got away from him and locked herself in her room. She didn't want to tell her mom because she knew she would take the side of her dad. Eventually, her parents found out that she was questioning when someone from church said she had been acting weird and had been looking at girls differently. That's when the assault stopped. They started asking Ray about it and she denied it, but it just got worse. Eventually Ray found herself and came out as lesbian to accepting people at church. Someone had overheard her and went and told her parents. She was sent to conversion therapy, and many church camps to try to convert her. When she never converted her parents decided to disown her at the age of 14. She has been on her own ever since. She moved to Karakura a 15 to look for a better life.
