School Employee Role you are applying for?:
Counselor
In as much detail as possible, describe the employee role you are applying for:
The employee role I am applying for is a counselor. They're the ones that work with students to develop academic plans and guidance to graduate. They provide psychological counseling to students who are having trouble not only academically, but emotionally and sometimes mentally. They collaborate with students and staff to better plan how to help such struggling students. They also keep a record of students to monitor performance and behavior to provide better assistance
What experience, in general, do you have in roleplay?:
I’ve been playing on SRP for quite some time, on the account I have for close to 2 years, and on an older one for 1 year. Within each account, especially my main and currently only one (Rechanic), I have gotten used to DetailRp, which has only been getting better and better.
Why do you want to join the School Employee faction?:
I always wanted to be more than just a student, I wanted to help others, in any way possible, I wanted them to look up to me. I figured I wasn't good enough to be a teacher, but I wanted to start somewhere small, such as a Counselor, but equally as important. I wanted to be looked up upon, and a way to help those students out of whatever issues they may be going through”. It would give me a chance to interact with more people playing this wonderful game, and I find that enjoyable.

Situations
During a work-shift a student starts cursing at you for being pathetic, how does your character react?:
As a counselor, he would approach this situation with kindness and understanding regardless of whether the students intentions were to hurt him or to simply test his patience. He’d take a deep breath and look the student in the eye, speaking softly, saying, “I'm very sorry that you feel this way towards me. Is there anything I can do to help you feel more comfortable or supported in this space?” He would remain quiet and listen to whatever the student had to say or talk about, and for his response he would answer by saying “ I understand that you may be frustrated or misunderstood, but it's important for students to communicate in a way that is respectful and empathetic. I'm here to support your learning and here to create a safe space for you and others around you, now. May we please take a seat, enjoy a treat, and discuss what seems to be the reason for your lashing?”
You notice two students are physically fighting in the hallway, – multiple punches have been thrown – how does your character react?:
Seeing the students fighting, Khan would first assess the situation at hand and determine if it’s right to call for other staff. He would prioritize the safety of everyone involved by getting their attention, and hopefully the attention of other staff. He would raise his voice but would attempt to diffuse and stop the situation before stepping in. As the fight was far to the point of punches, he would identify the student that was being hit (losing the fight) and would pull the other from causing any other harm to his peer. Non-forcefully, he would take the student that caused the most harm to detention and take the other to the nurses office. He would stay with each student for a while, asking questions such as “what was the purpose of you two fighting, what was said that drove you to the point of getting physical, and what can be done to prevent another fight between both of you.”
Another school employee is clearly acting inappropriately, doing something very dangerous on the job, how does your character react?:
Seeing the fellow school employee behaving in an inappropriate manner, Khan would clear his throat loudly to catch the attention of said employee. He’d question the staff member saying, “Are you sure that what you're doing is a good example for our students?” If the employee continued to show negligence, Khan would advise strongly to prevent such action being taken, as it could result in harming themselves, harming the people around them, or in a worst case scenario, harming a student. If nothing Khan did appeared to prevent the employee from doing something dangerous, he would say “Look, i'm still new here, but i have a job to protect students and those around if need be. If you continue such a heinous act, I'm afraid that you leave me no choice than to contact the Senior Leadership Team.
When in the employee break room, how does your character act?
On his lunch break, Khan would love nothing more than to read about ancient religious artifacts being lost, stolen, and found throughout the world. He would be seen in the break room sipping on his protein shake which appeared to have strawberries in it. He would have the book set on the table, one hand flipping the pages and lifting his shake taking sips as he read, and the other hand would be squeezing on a hand strength tool, which seemed small and lightweight. Despite being focused on his book, he was quite alert and aware of his surroundings, listening if someone was to ask him a question or if someone yelled for help.
Provide us with at least three detailed /me's of your character whilst on your chosen role:
/me Sitting in his swivel chair reading a book about Indiana Jones, Khan heard the footsteps of students walking into the office. Turning his head around, he’d notice a student waiting for his attention. Quickly setting down any book he was reading, he would step towards the front of the desk and sit down saying “ Hello, how can I be of assistance to you today?” Flashing them a quick smile.
/me Grabbing his duffel bag and protein shaker, Khan took a last look at the office for the day. Strolling through and picking up any trash that he, or his fellow employees had left inside. He’d pick them up, placing it in the bin before stacking the chair on the tables for the janitors, and finally putting his papers into the filing cabinet beside him. Taking one last walk through the office, he shook his shake up and took a sip, before turning around locking the door into the office, then heading to the gym.
/me Seeing the student waiting for him in the office, he would close the door to have some privacy. Khan walks to his side of the desk and before sitting down, he would take a sip of his protein shake, and make a gesture to the student to please have a seat.. As he sat down, he cleared his throat, scoots in the chair, clicks his pen upside down on a piece of paper and says “So, would you like to tell me what's been on your mind lately?”

Backstory
I grew up in the backstreets of San Vicente in the central american country of El Salvador. I lived with both of my parents, my mother being a native and my father being from Japan. I didn't struggle much growing up with both of my parents, apart from my father being somewhat forceful towards me. Throughout my life I was often found in trouble. I was always being picked on at school for my fathers nationality and for my small size. Most of the time, my parents would have to pick me up from school because of me fighting my bullies and occasionally transferring from school to school. Entering highschool, I had encountered most of the bullies I once fought with during my early days to be attending that same school. There came a day where I just didn't want to lose and run from every fight I had gotten myself into, so I decided to train my body, so that I would never have to run again. Everyday after school, I would go to the local gym where I would spend 3-4 hours, working on my legs, arms, chest, core and very often full-body workouts, even during the weekends. It didn't take me very long to get physically matched to my bullies, but as I was approaching the group spot where they hung out during their junior year, the counselor stopped me. I began to question the path I was about to go down after speaking with him, and I thought to myself, was violence the answer to violence?
Pre-Karakura
After highschool, I didn't really have much of a plan. For my last year of highschool, I spent half of it remaining at the gym, and the other half in the library reading any book or piece of information to be a counselor myself. I would counselor and how they affect the lives of the students at school. I was fascinated that it was them, the counselors, that kept the peace at school and kept the peace of the minds of the students in and out of school. That was when I decided what I wanted to go for in university, I wanted to be like them, a counselor. Entering a university in El Salvador, I was one of the very few in his class who had the least difficulty to pass the exams. Throughout the year and a half that it took me to earn my masters in counseling, and my minors. I continued going to the gym and the library daily, pursuing more knowledge, and even became an assistant to the university counselor. After university, I decided it was time for me to be an actual counselor,, so I spoke to my father, to see if there was a chance for me to set out of the country, and pursue somewhere new, where I could learn even more.
Motivation for Joining KHS:
Becoming a counselor offers a unique combination of challenges and rewards. I can be the one who assists students who are struggling academically, socially or even emotionally. My work could have a lasting impact on the lives of others as it did for me, and I could assist those with disciplinary or behavior problems to prevent even further problems. I could assist teachers and staff and provide them with the know-how on intervention strategies and crisis management. My work could support and grow the emotional instability of the students to help them grow better as a person.
Do you have any previous experience working in a school environment? If so, please elaborate (If not, respond with "N/A")
: During my years in university, I was actively involved in the office space of a counselor. My duties were to assist in scheduling appointments with students and even some teachers. It was my task to keep a record of student test scores and organizing files. It was my task to work closely with teachers to identify student needs with counseling. I was also trained into crisis intervention and behavior management by the college counselor.
Why should you be accepted over the other applicants?:
I feel like I am very motivated for this role. It's not just a role of counselor, but the role of being that helping hand to students and maybe to some other staff. I want to help those in need, let it be from getting down to why students got into a fight, to something they're going through emotionally. Being a counselor at this school would not only help the students grow emotionally and mentally, but it would also help me grow, for what's best of me, and especially for what's best for the students and faculty around me.
