What position are you applying for (Maiden or Priest)?
Priest
What is your motivation for applying?
All of my friends are all part of something in SRP. Most of them are in sports, some in clubs and even those who have jobs within the game. Everytime I would log on, since my break, it felt like I had nothing to play for. I’ve tried to get myself into shrine in the past because I love the idea of being a part of that culture, that samurai aesthetic even if it's not all about swords and katanas. When I saw that internships were available, I had to apply with hopes to get into the faction, and now that I completed the program, it gives me hope that I can be what i’ve wanted to be on the server, more than just Rechanic.
What do you currently know about Shintoism? Are you willing to learn more about it?
I’ve had some knowledge about Shintoism in the past. Before, I knew the solid basics that everyone knew in SRP. Entering the shrine, proper etiquette and respect and most of that came from actually spending time at the shrine even if it was by myself. But after taking this internship, and passing, I've learned about the meaning of Shintoism and how it's brought out, I loved learning different folklore and aspects of it, which was another reason why I applied. I learned proper and more in depth ways of worship towards the kami and its nature. Whatever I didn’t learn during my internship, I’d love to learn in time.

Backstory
Jin-son Kamodo is a Korean-English young man who was born in karakura. He spent his life growing up alongside his two siblings and his mother, who at the time was a tutor. Over the years, he went through all the common life stages. He went through the hyper-active years as a toddler until he began slowly isolating himself as he grew younger. Jin hung around his siblings often, and like most cases, he picked up their habits. He found himself drinking, fighting strangers, and often vandalizing sides of buildings, but this wasn’t him and he wanted to change his ways. After gaining the courage to speak up about his problems to his mother, she helped him focus on himself and the well-being of his siblings, along with reconnecting with his father who wasn't in the picture at the time. As time passed by, he indulged himself in the practice and mentality of Shintoism , especially the clothing, which has now become part of his personality.
CHARACTER KNOWLEDGE / SITUATIONS
How does your character act around shrine grounds? How do they interact with guests and other staff?
Jin is always trying to maintain the sacredness of the shrine. He hurdles over his shyness as he introduces himself to guests and to other shrine staff. As joyful as he can be, he tries to maintain a serious but calm demeanor as he speaks to those older than him. Whenever he finds himself alone at the shrine, he’d always try to find something he could do to feel useful.
You see a guest jumping around the roofs of the building and overall disrespecting shrine grounds, how would your character handle it?
Jin-son would kindly approach the guest, and politely ask that they refrain from leaving the paths etched into the ground, for they could get hurt if they continued. If he finds them disrespecting the shrine grounds, Jin would politely ask them to stop and try to explain what they were doing was wrong. If all else fails, he would gently gesture them to leave the shrine grounds for the day.
Why does your character want to become a shrine maiden/priest? What do they wish to achieve?
For a while, Jin wanted to be a part of something bigger than himself. He has learned that there is so much in this world that we don’t see, and thats due to choice, and lack of knowledge. Before the internship, Jin would say that he wanted to be a priest because he loved the religion, because he loved the practices of shintoism and adored their sense of honor, but now he has a different reason, a goal. During his time at the shrine with the maidens and priests, he’s learned how much effort the kami put into the island of karakura and he noticed how little we appreciate it. Jin has set it within himself to become a priest, and share what he has learned with others. He hopes that all of karakura returns to the way of shintoism, and to the kami. But sadly he knows that this will most likely not happen in his lifetime, but if he can manage to enlighten the mind of at least one person, then his goal is achieved.
What are the core values of your character?
Some of Jin-son Kamodo’s core values are- Faith, adaptability, compassion, curiosity, commitment and appreciation.
