Resource pack not working.

Alright, So I haven't played on this server in about a year or so. So I thought I'd log back on and see how things are. When I got on, I was greeted with a screen saying something along the lines of, "This server recommend you use the resource pack." So I agree and click yes. The game puts up a loading screen and just freezes there. I can move in the game but I can't open the menu/mess with the inventory. Then if I press escape, it crashes. Is it something with my computer or my internet? Please help...

Hello I am Blitaxy, the problem is that you press a key, you may not do that, I recommend that you will log on, and wait until the resources download. I also recommend to use Optifine.

Aight. I let it sit for about 20 minutes and it didn't work. I figured it out though... Optifine helps A LOT... :/ And btw you responded so fast ml... And also sorry for botherin' ya with my stupidity..
