TRIVIA QUESTIONS
What is student council and what do they do?:
A Student Council is a group of elected and volunteer students working together with an adult advisor within the framework of a constitution or bylaws to provide a means for student expression and assistance in school affairs and activities, giving opportunities for student experience in leadership, and encourage their community.
What motivated you to apply for council? (e.g. Interests, friends, etc.):
The ability to help others in situations motivated me to apply!
Are you aware that you’ll be having to use your creativity and teamwork ethic within the student council? (e.g. Coming up and helping with events):
I understand!
Can you list the roles in council along with others roles that might be important to the council?:
President - The person who has all the responsibilities to everything and manages the whole council team
Vice President - They also have big responsibilities to everything but they help the President to manage
Secretary - They keep logs and everything, creating small events and they can have other councilors to help them create the event also keep track of the roles under them.
Treasurer - They deals with the event budgets and they get items from the shops and shopkeepers for the event come up with good ideas and get enough money for creating new school events.
Student Body Reporter - They manages the school magazine and makes sure that everything goes perfect and nothing goes wrong
Council Representative - This role is higher than a normal council member, making morning announcements being a good role model, and training new council members.
Council Member - A new council member under training or trial. Keeping the students sticking with the school rules and calling school staff if a student does not follow school rules.
SCENARIOS
You’re patrolling the school and you walk by two girls verbally harassing each other, but they didn't pay mind to you. What do you think is the correct way to go about this?:
I'd go over to them and break it up. Learn the reason why it's happening from both and make them apologize and be kind.
A student refuses to take their mask off after you’ve brought up detention and they’ve run away! What do you do?
Run after them, catch them from the shirt. Pull it off and carry them back to detention.
There seems to be a councilor abusing their powers! They’re being exceptionally mean to a student, causing the student to be defensive or scared. How would you step in?
I would step in by telling them to stop and comfort the student victim. I would afterward report the person in higherup.
You seemed to miss a few pieces of information during a meeting, how would you go about getting that information?
I would raise my hand politely, asking to recite the info I missed. And if they refuse to, I can always ask someone else who heard the info!
A teacher/receptionist has told you or doing something that goes against what you were trained by your higher-ups. How would you react to this?
I would "Sorry, I'm not able to, as it is against my training from higher-ups." And deal with the situation correctly.
Please provide a detailed event that a club or council can use as a future event to showcase your creativity! (Must be 300 words or more):
Collab with the council and any art clubs!!)(also councilors while having the hair hidden for their sakes) Drop dye on the councilor! The councilors would sit on a high chair in a full white outfit. The higher-ups or teachers would hold rainbows of buckets of dye and drop them on the councilors. The outfits used will be given to people who can't afford new clothing. Some will also be on sale for others to buy. With caps, t-shirts, sweaters, SHOES!!, and socks, etc. This will be hosted where the club choosing event was held!
