[Grade-12] Ren Kurogane (Hoshino Prod. Bodyguard)
Why are Teachers so important to SchoolRP?:
I see teachers to be the first line of veterans to engage in roleplay with new players. Teachers provide a good base for anyone to get involved in roleplay through classes or any roles inside school grounds. They not only do the job of a teacher and make the roleplay more immersive but exist within school grounds to actually give the feeling of control and order inside the school. A good amount of adult characters come from teachers, which makes it even more important so the town is not just bunch of highschoolers! They take on so many roles such as conflicts between students, teaching classes and having a life as an adult outside of work. Whether it is having their own family or hanging out with friends, they are a very important base for the school roleplay system.
Do you acknowledge that if you are inactive you may lose your role?:
Yes
Do you agree to undergo teacher training if your application is successful?:
Yes
What is your motivation for becoming a Teacher?:
I have been involved in a lot of roleplay through my time in SRP, yet i never got the chance to actually give this faction a try. I recently left HS-Track to join and explore other roleplaying options. I want to create a new character to experience and roleplay in the server as an adult for the first time, which means both fun for me and those i will be roleplaying with. I love niche characters, so after checking the roster i decided to choose a subject not a lot of people seem to choose despite how fun it can be and how much potential it has.
I am looking to partake in the server as a teacher to be able to roleplay both inside and outside of school grounds, creating a character that feels alive and not just a character that is there for only the job.

What's your character's full name?:
Na-Rin would nod at the question, rather calm despite the fireworks going off inside her heart. "My name is Na-Rin Kim Seo. I am actually Korean~." She would make her hands into fists as she placed them on her lap palm-down. "Just Na-Rin would do~. My family actually calls me Rin since it is much easier~!" Na-Rin would straighten up, nodding once again for the interviewer to proceed.
What is your character's age?:
Na-Rin would look down as she rub the back of her neck. "I am thirty two~!" She would look over to the interviewer before straightening her posture and placing her fists back on her lap. "Sorry~ I don't like that question too much~..." She would give a soft laugh before proceeding.
What is your preferred subject to teach?:
She would get excited to the question, almost visibly jumping off her seat. Na-Rin manages to not break her cool, speaking softly as her smile got warmer. "I have been thriving to work as a Performing Arts teacher for some time now, specifically Dancing~!" She would laugh off, fixing her posture once again before speaking softer, making sure she was not too loud despite her excitement. "I have been teaching dancing for a long time~, I am looking forward to do it in this school as well~!" She would nod, letting the interviewer proceed.
Describe your character:
Na-Rin is a Korean woman with blonde hair and hazel eyes, her smile complimenting every sharp feature she has. She is the kind of person who seems to brighten the room without trying. There is something warm about her presence; soft, inviting and comforting! She speaks gently, barely raising her voice even in very dramatic situations. Na-Rin has a smile on her face despite any situation, she clearly thinks of the positives before anything, anytime. You feel at ease when you see her, like you could trust her with your life and she wouldn't risk it for anything. Her movements carry the flow of a dancers, she moves with a rythm as if there was music playing in her head 24/7. You can't quite put it at first, but as time passes you start to see her resembling the warmth and brightness of the sun!

Roleplay Scenarios
A student in class is struggling to understand the content, what would your character do?:
Na-Rin spotted the kid from across the room, moved her gaze towards all the other students to see if anyone else was having a hard time with their task before walking over, speaking with a soft voice quiet enough to not distract the others. "I see you are having a hard time~ But it's fine, dancing is not supposed to be easy." She would slowly guide them through the dance, explaining the choreography while making sure the movement is slow enough for them to catch up. "Just try to memorize the small bits! The dance is supposed to build up from small movements, keep that in mind okay?" Na-Rin guides their posture, teaching them to memorize it with small movements instead of one big sequence. She smiles wider as she sees her student improve even so slightly. "You are getting the hang of it! Don't worry, dance is supposed to be fun, don't be afraid what others might think." She lets go and takes a step back, watching them as she swiftly claps before speaking loud enough for the whole class to hear. "We love to see some improvements!" She would continue to watch them along with all the other students, drifting back to what she was doing before.
A student is continuously being disruptive in class, talking out of turn, and making jokes with classmates. What would your character do?:
Na-Rin would pause, looking over to the kid(s) who are being disruptive. She places her hands on her hips, tilting her head as she speaks. "I see some of you decided to not pay attention to the class." She would take a step forward, looking directly at the bunch that was talking out of turn and making jokes. "If you don't want to listen, bare a couple more minutes. You are making everyone else have a hard time focusing~!" She would attempt to continue and teach in class, hoping the student will comply.
If the disruption does not end, Na-Rin would take actions depending on the subject. If it is a lecture, she has no other choice but to warn them once again and kick them from the class if they persist. If it is a dance type or a choreography, she would make it fun for both parties.
Na-Rin pauses again, looking over to the loud student before placing her board marker on her desk. "Okay, why don't you come up here and help me demonstrate this to the whole class~?" She would not break her composure, this was not an attempt to humiliate the student, it was an attempt to try and make them get involved and enjoy the class. She would smile encouragingly as the student walks over. "Okay, just focus on me, you got this~" She would guide the student through the dance, making sure their steps were correct and their footwork wasn't messy. "As we discussed, Bon Odori as a dance is very traditional. It consists a lot of footwork more than anything else~!" She would help them get through the steps they discussed in class, hoping that after this they would enjoy their time in class as well as not disrupting the others. She would applaud them as they walk back to their seat, encouraging the other students to do so as well. "That was great! Thank you for your help~."

It usually is part of the festival called Obon, which is more joyful event in the most recent days. Dance itself consists a lot of footwork, easy to learn and memorize. It heavily is inspired from real-life actions such as harvesting rice and other actions that go back to old days.

Interactive Class Ideas
Interactive class ideas for dancing classes will include students dividing into groups and creating their own choreographies, dance battles and mystery dances. All interactive classes are based on swift detail roleplay and rolling!
Creating Choreography
Students will be divided into groups of three and create their own choreography. The details to the choreography will be randomly chosen by their own luck by drawing a paper sheet from the stack the teacher will provide. The papers will tell them a style, a challenge or a specific movement they need to include in their choreography.
Dance Battles
Two pairs of students will be put up to the stage, the students either can choose their pair or be paired by the teacher. The two teams will be put on the stage or the middle of a circle formed by other students and dance battle! The rules and how it works will be how a normal dance battle would be, one of the students from each group will start off before the turn goes to opposite team, and the chain will continue to the players in line. The timing will be kept by the teacher, and students need to make sure they manage their time properly.
Mystery Dances
Students will pick a mystery card from the paper stack the teacher will hand over. The paper will reveal a dancing style for them to perform for the whole class. Students will go by order and perform their dances, encouraging them to try different dance styles.
