As mentioned in the image above, this could benefit the server in like a lot of ways. To attracting more players and even making the server and community respected by other roleplay servers even more.

I understand that other servers might have clients for their server that works for their platform or server. I do not think this method would work for SRP. A lot of players, much like myself, use Mods on SRP to make it run more smoothly or for aesthetic reasons which would not work for others who don't have good computers.

Now, having an optional, DEDICATED mod pack for those who use mods, would be something more up SRP alley through CursedForge or have a .zip file with the mods inside of it(and the people can add it to their preferred modding platform).

You might be asking, 'why do you think this???', well it's quite simple. it will limit on what SRP players can do. Plus, certain clients and mods don't work for everyone. Along with this, the idea of SRP is to have a completely Vanilla experience without having to use mods or go through extra steps. Going through those extra steps could be a make or break for people on joining the server. We could see a decline of players if we did what you are suggesting. I am not saying its a bad idea, it just won't for for its playerbase and those who are thinking on joining SRP

This is completely unnecessary, and Feather Client is already partnered with SRP. If anything, Feather kind of fits this, but it just causes an unnecessary download. SchoolRP is very easy already because it doesn't require mods but you can add your own. There are already prosthetics you can add onto your own skin. Discord already is there for announcements, and different things. Also this would be a lot to code, and SchoolRP has their own things to code in/fix already.

Also to clear things up, the client wouldn't be like mandatory, you could still play srp using vanilla, same as you can with any client.

The thing that makes a client a client is mods. Optifine capes are a mod that comes if you download Optifine. Feather voice chat (remember that?) is also a mod, and so on. So these 'cosmetics' would be a mod, etc, etc.

I feel that the development team already have a lot on their plate between implementing new features and scrambling to fix already-existing plugins, and that developing a launcher would take away from the time that projects desperately need. If the development of such a program would not take too long and said launcher would be secure, I would have no qualms about supporting this, but unfortunately, development always takes time which in this case would be best spent elsewhere.

As SIMPL3Z said, a custom launcher is nothing more than a reskinned Minecraft launcher which is running a specifically modded version of Minecraft. They are a lot better at hiding the mods, but the fact that Lunar has "Forge" and "Fabric" options should tip one off.
