What is your motivation to apply for reporter?:

Writing has always been something that I have been passionate about and knowing that the Reporter Faction is a faction that tasks its members to write a significant amount makes me want to join it. Aside from wanting to write a lot I want to explore new roleplay opportunities and I feel like being a Reporter will push me to host interviews, dig for information to make interesting reports and all this writing will boost my vocabulary and my writing style. I have always craved roleplay which is a huge reason as to why I joined SchoolRP so joining a faction which has access to a variety of different roleplay opportunities is a big reason as to why I would like to join it.

Do you have any experience with writing? What is your relationship with writing?:

As stated previously, I love writing and I want to enhance my vocabulary and writing style. I already partly do this thanks to being a Writing in numerous discord tailoring servers such as, Thrift Shop, Sashiko Corp, Stitch Haven and most importantly to me being the Head of the Writing Department in Cartier. I also write essays on a regular basis for school which also help. My relationship with writing is entirely healthy. I adore writing which is why I write many descriptions, lore pieces, essays, backstories and even biographies on a weekly basis, whether its for a customer who is paying me In Character money or Out Of Character money or for myself.

Are you aware of - and will follow - the set of rules provided to you?:

I promise to abide by the set of rules provided to me upon acceptance into the Reporter Faction.

Why should we accept you over others?:

As I stated previously I have a great relationship with writing and an even better experience. I have what it takes to keep up with the work load, fulfil my monthly quota. I am also a player of the community who is very active within the server. I am also someone who is dedicated to writing and will be even more dedicated to this faction if accepted. I know that when writing a report, I wont publish it unless I know for sure that I love it. I realised quickly when I started writing that if I do not like something I will go over everything again just to rectify what it is that I do not like. I skim through the small details, I embrace them full on to ensure that my report is interesting, perfectly written and has an enriched vocabulary.

Do you understand you have to stay completely neutral with all reports? (Your report can't have any OOC or IC bias towards a specific group.)

I understand that I must stay entirely neutral within all my reports; I cannot have any Out Of Character or In Character bias towards a specific person or group.

Do you trust that you will be able to stay active and complete the monthly quota?:

Knowing myself and my activity, I entirely trust myself to stay active within the community and complete my monthly quota with ease.

Summarise what you imagine work as a reporter is:

I believe that work as a reporter is incredibly interesting. I think that reporters have to go out of their way to gather information on their certain sector so a reporter who reports about fashion needs to keep an eye out on OnRain for women, men and adults in different outfits to figure out what type of clothing is all the hype about that certain period. But a reporter who reports about Crime around Karakura must go out of their way to interview certain people about their experiences with crime; are they victims or ask if they know anyone in crime. They might even interview a few members of the Karakura Police Department to get their take on things.

Basically I believe that a reporter is someone who is well connected to roleplay, someone who knows a lot of things about certain aspects of Karakura and someone who must work hard to create interesting reports.

IC (In-Character) Information:
Treat this section like it is your own character answering it

Full Name:

Katerina smiled at the interview. "My name is Katerina Jin-Ryuk Rostova." She spoke, her voice gentle yet firm.

Preferred Name/Nickname and Title (e.g., Ms, Mr)

A ponder would cross upon her mind as she listened to the question. "Everyone can call me Katerina, or Miss Rostova." A soft breath would be heard. Her head nodding as to what she was saying.

Current Age (25+):

She would pull her government issued identification out of her right pocket and pressed it onto the table. "I am of the age of twenty six." She explained, while pointed at the her age on the identification.

Past job/work experience:

Her brow would raise for a gentle moment as she processed what they were asking her. "Back in university, I was apart of the journalism club." She would close her mouth, still thinking about her internship last summer. "Last summer I intern'd at a Journalist's cabinet to get insight on how they worked."

Degree/qualifications:

She would pull her phone out of her left pocket and opened the gallery app. She turned the screen around revealing a picture of her diploma; a master's in journalism. "I pursued a master's in journalism within my university." She tucked her phone away.

Nationality and born location:

She rested her hands onto her lap. "I was born in Russia, more precisely in Moscow. I am Russian." She stated as if it was obvious. Her words were carried by a light accent, her numerous years within Karakura taught her Japanese fluently and almost rid of her accent.

Phone Number:

Katerina pulled out a business card, very professional looking with her name and her phone number; 030-197-2141

How would you describe yourself in under 150 words?:

She thought for a moment on how to phrase this without sounding egotistical. "I am a female that as sacrificed everything I had in Moscow to denounce a dangerous gang leader. I had to flee the country and seek refuge here, in Karakura. I am determined to denounce crime, and flip the criminal foundation, to get a grasp of it." She cleared her throat. "I am confident, I am smart and I am pretty. These main three attributes will help me get the information I seek."

What are you interested in writing about? How will you achieve this, and would you consider going out of your comfort zone?:

Katerina tapped her finger nails onto her own arm, a method of hers to stay calm. "I am interested in anything that is Crime Related." She explained carefully. "I want to denounce criminal activity and dig into the criminal life in Karakura. I want to find out everything I can, present, past of future events that have happened, will happen or are about to." She cleared her throat, reading herself to speak once more. "I will interview police officers and try to get a lead. Once I have gotten a lead I will go to a well known criminal hotspot. I will observe the location over the course of a few days and once I have reasonable suspicion that someone is a criminal I will ask them for an interview. If they accept, I will try to use that as a gateway to crack further into the criminal underground world." She took a sip of the glass of water that was given to her. "I do not need to consider going out of my comfort zone. The consideration is gone. I would do anything for my job; especially going out of my comfort zone."

What are your expectations for the job?:

A soft smile invaded her face. "I expect excitement and I wish to learn more about the job. I also want to put my master's degree in journalism to good use."

Do you have a criminal record? If so, list the crimes below:

The young female frowned intensively. "I have no criminal record." She stated.

Fluent Languages (Underline your native):

She took in a deep breath. "I speak fluently Russian and Japanese." Her voice was soft.

PROMPTS:
You will have to write two reports about a topic of your choice. Here we can see how pronounced your writing is and how creative you are. Use your own formatting and your own report idea. (If you're found plagiarizing an actual report or another applicant, you will be denied.)

#1 - General report. Report about a topic, informing players about an event or significant issues to Karakura.

Black and Cream Modern Breaking News Poster (2).png

#2 - Interview. It's important to have well-rounded questions. Create your own interview with ten questions or more. And answer them yourself.

K; Katerina Jin-Ryuk Rostova | Interviewer
L; Liam Horace | Guest

[!] The tape recorder made a beeping sound, alerting that it is now on. [!]

K; Can you state your name for the record?
L; My name is Liam Horace.

K; How do you feel about the current criminal situation within Karakura?
L; Honestly, it is currently horrible. There are literally people getting stabbed or assaulted right in front of the Karakura Police Department while the actual officers are no where to be seen.

K; Interesting. And how do you think these victims feel after receiving no help?
L; Well, I was once a victim. I was stabbed right in my liver at the water park which is like two minutes from the Police Station and when I went to them for help they stated that they couldn't help because there was no CCTV footage.

K; Would you say that criminals tend to stay away from CCTV?
L; I once overheard two civilians, who were masked who I assume are criminals state that they knew where most cameras were and they tend to steer as far away from there as possible.

K; You mentioned that you were stabbed in the liver, could you specify what they stabbed you with?
L; I do not know name, but it was a long stick with a sharp pointy knife at the end.

K; That is called a nagitana. Do you know where criminals receive their weaponry?
L; I know that within the Karakura criminal system there is a Black Market so I can only assume the weapons come from them.

K; Do you know how these criminals contact this Black Market?
L; All I know is that there is some kind of phone number and the Dealers receive requests. I do not know what the number is. I also do not know where or how the exchange happens.

K; Have you ever been in a criminal organisation?
L; I used to be in a gang called Black Dragons, but when it disappeared, so did my criminal record.

K; Why did you join this gang?
L; Well some crazy person was coming after me and my family and I just joined that gang in order to receive protection from them.

K; What did you do within the gang?
L; I committed a variety of different felonies one even being murder.

K; Is it difficult to sleep at night knowing that you murdered someone?
L; Well, I personally don't care since I know that if I wouldn't have protected myself on that day then the person who I murdered would have murdered me. I would say that I did it out of self-defense.
