Backstory:
Sara Yamamoto, the fourth member of Niki Nakamura's group of friends and also the youngest, begins her story when descendants of her family moved to São Paulo, Brazil, seeking life opportunities, jobs, etc. Fast forward a few years, and one autumn day (spring in the northern hemisphere, but Sara, being from Brazil, is autumn), Sara Yamamoto was born. Her family saw her as a great gift to the world, and they weren't wrong. As Sara grew up, she displayed a very calm and friendly demeanor, a stark contrast considering children are often messy and mischievous. Sara wasn't like that; in fact, she was organized, not only in her surroundings but also in her schedule. And when things didn't work out, despite being frustrated, she never let that frustration get the better of her.
Sara often worried her parents for the simple reason that she had virtually no friends. This was due to her shy personality, which made her inexperienced in certain situations. When there were parties at her house and other children were there, Sara would practically hide in her room and avoid playing with the others. But one day, she met Clara Sato. Clara realized what Sara was like and decided to do her best to ensure Sara was never alone and never burdened with problems. This started in class, when the teacher would ask Sara something and she couldn't answer, sometimes out of fear or ignorance, Clara would answer for her. Sara questioned her about it during recess that day, and Clara said, "Sara, you seem like a really nice person, but you seem afraid of some people, and you end up feeling very alone. That motivated me to get closer to you and be your friend. I understand how hard it is, and that's why I'm here! And I would love for you to be my friend!"
Since then, Clara and Sara have spent a lot of time together, talking about things and helping each other with schoolwork or other personal issues, but it doesn't stop there. With Clara having other friends, one day, it was obvious they would reach Sara, and who were they? Niki and Sakura. Clara met them at school, and Clara, seeing Niki's personality, thought she would be a great friend for Sara, because many of Niki's characteristics matched Sara's, and this was indeed true. It's no wonder that the four girls, at the age of 10 (9 with Sakura and Sara), made a friendship pact, where they swore to be friends forever and help each other.
After a while, with many of their friends coming to Karakura, Sara came too. She's not as shy as she used to be, so she's better at dealing with crowds. However, there are still difficulties in making new friends, but it's not impossible. Sara sees this as a challenge in her life, but that doesn't mean she can't overcome it.
