Mmm- what’s that I smell? The potent aroma of a pumpkin spice latte? Ooh! Or maybe the sound of leaves crunching beneath my feet?
That’s right! It’s Fall! My favorite time of the year, out with the heat of Summer and in with the Fall festivities!
[The camera would pan to Connie sitting in the Journalist clubroom, a mannequin positioned next to him]
Connie:
“Hi everyone! This is Connie Helvete, giving you the latest on Fall fashion! Today we’ll be going over some tips to spice up your ‘fits during this chilly season.”
“Before we dive right in! First let’s discuss what exactly Fall fashion is, during this chilly season. Many people swap out their sandals and crop-tops for something a bit thicker! Providing a bit more warmth for this cool season without making them melt- some pretty common colors for this season’s fashion include orange, brown and some occasional red! However, don’t let this be a guideline for your creativity this season, I’m here to help you spread your wings and turn heads on the streets of Karakura.”
[Connie would walk off camera and return with a brown cardigan, wrapping it around the mannequin]
Connie:
“First off, we’ll be discussing the number one rule of fashion during Autumn. Invest in a piece of versatile clothing to work with any outfit!”
“It’s important to use something comfortable as the base of your outerwear: whether it’s a cardigan, leather jacket or trench coat. It’s important to stay warm during the colder months. So this is a great place to start, remember to keep it light as we’re going into much cooler temperatures than during Summer. So leave your t-shirts at home for now!”
“This is your opportunity to play into current fashion trends, bold colors and shapes add joy to your Autumn wardrobe. With black and grey as the go-to color during colder seasons. Try adding a bold and courageous piece into the mix to bring your outfit to the next level!”
[Connie would run off-camera again and scurry back on, tossing a pair of boots down by the mannequin before returning to his seat]
Connie:
“Another staple of Fall fashion is a good ole’ pair of boots! This is a great place to start for the lower half of your outfit. Knee-high boots or combat boots are the way to go this season! Paired with a leather jacket or denim skirt and you’re on your way to looking picture perfect when you leave the house. Or for those who are looking for a more masculine look, some ripped jeans add some great texture to the look.”
[Connie would throw a peace sign at the camera before running off again, returning in a quick moment with a pair of ripped jeans, placing it on the mannequin]
Connie:
“We’re one step closer to making an outfit together, thanks for tuning in! Now, let’s dive into innerwear. We’ve got our outerwear, shoes and leggings. So let’s focus on what to wear underneath our cardigan!”
“Cotton is one of the most reliable fabrics for the Fall season, while things like flannel and denim are too heavy for summer and spring, while they also take too long to dry during Winter. They pose the perfect choice for the dry and windy weather of Fall. For this example, we’ll be using a grey cotton shirt to wear underneath our cardigan.”
[Connie would run off camera once again, returning with a handful of assorted accessories. Alongside the cotton shirt he previously talked about. Tossing it on the mannequin.]
Connie:
“And to finish off our outfit, accessories like berets or scarves can really make an outfit pop! A great example for this outfit would be a beret to add some volume, if we keep the color palette consistent throughout the entire outfit. We can stand out by radiating one or two colors! For those who want that extra lil’ bit of attention, this is the way to go.”
[Connie would take the beret from his handful of accessories and rest it on the mannequin.]
Connie:
“Here’s our Autumn outfit! Now then, we’ve spent all this time putting this together. So let’s see it!
“This outfit works perfectly during the Fall season, implementing soft yet bold colors into what we wear helps our looks pop compared to the bleak colors we’re surrounded by during these chillier months. I hope that this has been helpful, stay positive and keep those smiles bright and warm! Thanks for tuning in, this is Connie Helvete; out!”
[He’d blow a kiss to the camera before scurrying up to it, ending the recording]
