Today, we’ll be going over the Dedicated Swifties of Karakura High & Community College. But, let’s break it down first. What’s a swiftie? And what’s the difference between a swiftie and a dedicated swiftie? Are you a swiftie?
What’s A Swiftie?
A swiftie is a person who appreciates Taylor Swift’s work. Taylor Swift, in case some of you live under a boulder or something, is an American singer-songwrtier who is appreciated from everywhere around the world. Some examples of swifties are pictured below.
Swifties are known amongst the general public to be an extremely insane and dedicated fanbase towards their fandom. They’re also known for being majorly made up of teenage girls. However, anyone can enjoy Taylor Swift’s music, even me! And maybe even you.
Dedicated vs. Normal
A normal swifite is someone who enjoys Taylor Swift’s music and participates in discussion and activities revolving around her, however, they’re not insanely attached to the fandom. Whereas, a dedicated swiftie clings onto Taylor Swift’s every motion, word, and decision. Below I’ve attached two links to good video explanations of dedicated swifties.

Dedicated Swifties of KHSCC
Finally, let’s move onto the dedicated swifties of KHS. I walked around during the school day and harass- interviewed a few people to create the graph below to show you the difference between college lovers and haters adn the highschool lovers and haters of T.S. Of course, when we asked, we asked 13 people. Because, if you didn’t know, 13 is Taylor Swift’s lucky number and is iconic towards her brand.
As you can see, the lovers do outweigh the haters within the highschool by quite a lot, however, in college, they outweigh by a bit less. In the total KHSCC department, the swifties are extremely prominent. However, many of these swifties are too scared to speak of their interests due to the amount of hate and contreversy the small percentage of haters in KHSCC create. This can be confirmed by one student, who has preferred to stay anonymous for this exact reason.

Redacted: “Yes, highschool.”
KYA: “And I understand you’re here to talk about the hate given to swifties all around KHSCC by the haters of our academy. Could you talk a little bit about that?”
Redacted: “Of course. In our school, we have a ton of people. And in that huge bunch, there’s bound to be some haters. However, due to the violent and boastful culture of Karakura as a whole, these haters’ hate is extremely intensified.”
KYA: “Would you be willing to provide us with some examples of the intense hate you’ve seen or even been given to you yourself based on Taylor Swift?”
Redacted: “A lat of continuous verbal abuse, to the point that I’d consider it bullying. I believe we need to do something about this.”
KYA: “And what would that be?”
Redacted: “We need something to make sure everyone at our school knows that Taylor Swift is life. She is Mother. And Mother is Mothering.”
KYA: “...Not anything to stop the bullying?”
Redacted: “Well, sure, if you want. But, it’d be better to just brainwash everyone, y’know?”
While her solution is question, the general thoughts are there. Even the haters of Taylor Swift need to learn how to have an organised argument without getting rude and staying respectful. Let’s hear from current KHS English Teacher, Faye Jahii on that. Mx.
