What is your Minecraft username?:

sh8dee (ALT) <- APPLYING ON THIS ONE.

Do you have Discord (If so, what is your discord username?): finshade

What is your time zone?: PST

Describe your activity on the server: I have a pretty decent activity on the server, as I am usually on for at least a few hours every day. As of right now, my playtime sits at around 7-8 weeks.

As for my availability, as of currently I am available pretty much the majority of the week. There's no schedule I really stick by other than running errands from day to day, so I am usually able to spend a good portion of my time on SRP.

Do you acknowledge that if you are inactive you will be demoted?:
Yes, I am aware and willing to face the repercussions if that were to come.

School Employee Role you are applying for?: Nurse

In as much detail as possible, describe the employee role you are applying for:
A School Nurse plays a major role within the school, especially as the only medical personnel on campus ready to assist children in the event of an emergency or an inconvenience that may require medical attention. Nurses are expected to provide any health services at their disposal to students and staff whilst on school grounds, without bias towards any individual seeking support, and to ensure they cater to all who find their way to the nurse's office. They are individuals who are there to assist with the sporadic events that occur within Karakura High, keeping a clear mind and maintaining their composure, even when potentially under pressure. All in all, they are the people who are in charge of taking care of the people of the school, overseeing their health and well-being, being sure to be contactable in case of emergencies, and prepared to go into any situation that could be brought to them, regardless of severity.

Despite the medical aspect of things, Nurses are the people who can be a shoulder to lean on for the students, as I would believe there is no guidance or anything of the sort; nurses, for the most part, would be obligated to keep most conversations between them and another whilst on duty private, especially in the case of any medical-related business. People usually tend to keep certain things personal, especially with the thought of judgement or ridicule lingering in the back of their mind from peers, though a nurse is there for those in need, for their overall well-being, not just physical. A shoulder to cry on, someone who'll listen without judgement because everyone sometimes just needs someone to let it all out to, and if that's something that would help whoever, then that's a task that a nurse should be willing to take up with no hesitation as well. Even with this in mind, it should be expected that nurses should tend to medical emergencies first, but that doesn't give them a reason to leave them out and not come back to any less severe inconveniences later.

What experience, in general, do you have in roleplay?:

Experiences that I have in roleplay are generally very deep. I have ran multiple dnd like sessions for a small community of friends that I have done multiple times in the past to try and provide an interesting and interactive story, as well as I am a person who is greatly in love with the thought of character development in all, I have tried to also flesh out every character I make to the most of my ability to keep things fun and flowing in my eyes. I also have roleplayed on plenty of servers, with my time starting in Lord of the Craft, but then also migrating to other anime-based roleplay servers, and then eventually making my way to SchoolRP back in like. . . 2018ish? Maybe a little earlier than that; I don't remember too much, and of course I've had my fair share of breaks from the server but always making a comeback eventually to see how things have developed.

Now for my experience within roleplay in SchoolRP, to be specific, I have had a lot of opportunity to try different things during my time, though I think the most I have had was in the GangRP aspect of the server for a greater portion of the years, as that was always what I saw as the more intriguing side of the server. I have joined many gangs, been in the higher end of a few, and even started one of my own at one point, though those times are far over. I also have experience with joining the fight club, even being the owner of the fight club for a duration of time before my most recent hiatus from the server, and trying to throw a new and unique spin on what was had during the time. Away from the GangRP side, I have also been in a few families during the time, starting with the creation of the Himmelvakt family, then migrating to the Rosewalds for a portion of time, and then eventually creating my own family in today's time, which is the Daggers. I mention this just to show that I have been a part of the community for some time, even trying to engage with as many individuals as I can, and also trying to do what I enjoy doing, which is creating something interesting that could add more to a story. I will end it off with now I am a part of the High School Football Team on my character Edres Dagger, which I actively RP on today. I engage in general JockRP as well as try to make sure that my team is well and interacting with one another to try and give us all an experience that we can laugh about later. So I can happily say I have a lot of roleplay experience!

Why do you want to join the School Employee faction?:

I wish to join the School Employee faction because it’s one of the many factions I have yet to explore. Even despite my many years as part of the server, I have never gotten the chance to try out something of the sort, and I wanted to take advantage of this opportunity. I have applied for Private Tutor in the past and was accepted, but during the time that I got accepted, I was no longer a part of the SRP community. This time around, I am looking to try something that could be like a breath of fresh air, so I decided to go for the Nursing position. Another reason is that I believe that I can bring a character that will provide more engagement on campus. I take pride in the characters I make, and I have yet to be in the position to be able to create an adult character, so to be given this title gives me a whole lot fewer restrictions than I would have on that of a kid character. I believe medical-based roleplay is interesting and provides a whole new route of experience that can be had, and I believe that's something that I would be able to provide and receive within this position.

Situations
/*Do not mention use of FearRP*/

During a work-shift a student starts cursing at you for being pathetic, how does your character react?:

When it comes to Emrys, he understands the mindset of a child, especially living with plenty of them, as well as his little sister Soraya, who is consistently a handful to him. He wouldn’t take it to heart, or even give much mind to it. More than likely, he’s the kind of person who would sit there with his arms crossed and wait for them to finish, to let them fully express their frustrations or whatever, and if they are disrespectful, he’ll let it slide, at least until it gets excessive. At that point, he would more than likely slip them a detention for blatant disrespect, though he would more than likely not want to have to do that because he isn’t a mean person, but he also won’t tolerate disrespect up to a degree in which it is getting excessive. Multiple warnings will be given prior; like stated previously, Emrys is the kind of man to give chances, and he will give someone multiple warnings until they’ve gotten to the point where a warning isn’t enough of an understanding.

He would try to speak with them before it gets to a point of no return because he wants to see the best out of the kids that come to Karakura High. Obviously, if a conversation isn’t wanted out of him, then he wouldn’t force it, but Emrys tries to do his best to take care of a situation without the result of any punishment unless it’s needed. He gives people chances and feels that most aggression stems from a student's home life, coming from someone who’s dealt with the same himself.

You notice two students are physically fighting in the hallway, – multiple punches have been thrown – how does your character react?:

In the event of students fighting, Emrys will try to step in. Before he does so, or whilst on the way, I should say, he would radio for backup, as two individuals are fighting on campus, and from the sense of being a nurse, he would be quick to try and evaluate the injuries of the two but it would have to be done one at a time, leaving one with the other supervisor while he works on them. In this sense, it’s to give each student a one-on-one to allow them to have a moment of explanation whilst Emrys is focusing on tending to their wounds. Both individuals will result in a detention when it comes to fighting on school grounds that will never be tolerated, though depending on the severity of the situation, he would more than likely have to take it to SLT.

Another school employee is clearly acting inappropriately, doing something very dangerous on the job, how does your character react?:

Emrys wouldn’t want any of his colleagues getting in trouble, though depending on the severity in which he was being inappropriate would he then have to immediately report it to a superior. In the sense of the situation being on the lower end of the scale, Emrys would definitely utilize that moment to try and have a simple one-on-one with the individual so they could at least feel a sense of ease when around him. Instead of immediately jumping to conclusions and pointing fingers, he'd try to figure out the motif behind the individual and try to steer them in the right path. They are his peers at the end of the day, and Emrys isn't the kind of person to think that an individual is incapable of becoming a better individual. If they are open to listening and hearing them out, then he would more than likely try to provide advice to help them divert their path and make a change for the well-being of themselves and the students, as well as other faculty on campus.

Now, Emrys also understands that everyone isn't always going to be willing to hear him out. In those cases, Emrys will give his best attempt at being more stern towards the employee. Being in a higher position where you are trusted on campus to help assist in the greater good of the school, only to stoop so low to do the opposite is unacceptable and will not be tolerated under any circumstance. In that manner, Emrys would immediately have to report it to the SLT.

When in the employee break room, how does your character act?

When in the break room, Emrys is overall a lot more laid back in comparison to when he's actually in need of being in business mode at all times. This is his moment to take a breather and recoup from the day; his moment of relaxation. If his brother weren't there, he'dmake sure to grab his coffee, take a seat by the window, and watch over the kids still in case of any emergencies, or to pass a little time as he was a people watcher. In the case that there were other individuals in the room with him, he wouldn't hesitate to spark up a conversation, as Emrys is the kind of person to want to get along with his colleagues more than anything. He packs his own lunch, as he would even potentially offer others a portion of his meal if they so desire to indulge. Most would believe that Emry's appearance gives off the kind of person who wouldn't wish to speak to anyone and kinda gives off a cold vibe, but once you engage in conversation with the man, he will try to get as much information out of you as possible. He overall takes advantage of his opportunities; if he is given the chance to do something, he will try to take it if the opportunity rests at his feet.

Provide us with at least three detailed /me's of your character whilst on your chosen role:

/me
resided within the nursing office as he'd notice the injured student enter the room with a sign of distress on their face. "What could've happened?" he'd say before glancing down at the child's knee and noticing a moderate-sized sc**** wound with an excessive amount of blood coming from it. "Oh, dear. This doesn't look fun. Let's get this handled for you, yeah?" Emrys would proceed to escort the child to the back of the office to allow them a place to reside as he got himself ready to begin his work. The tall man made his way over to the nearby sink, washing his hands as he glanced around the room for where he placed his glove box. Once it met his eyes, he took a pair, pulling them over his hands in a swift process, managing to avoid any rips in the plastic as he walked over to the supply cupboard to retrieve the materials he needed. As Emrys began making his way back to the injured child. "Now this might sting a little bit, but I need you to bear with me, okay?" He made sure to try and provide as much reassurance as he could give for this next instance, though he allowed the child to place their hand on his forearm in case they needed a moment to squeeze for the pain. Emrys brought the child's leg up, taking a metal pan and placing it under said leg as he then worked towards the bottle of Isopropyl alcohol, untwisting the cap and pouring the liquid over the wound to disinfect it. "I am sorry. Hang on, child." he gave another instance of security as he knew this was the most unpleasant part, though after a mere moment the pain would subside. "The hard part is over!" he said in glee to try and lighten the mood. Emrys then took a tube of ointment to assist with the pain, as well as the healing process, taking a dollop and lightly smearing it across the wounded area. With that, he then proceeded to place a patch bandage over their knee, alongside wrapping it, in the off chance it is to start to come off. "Alrighty. Let's try and be more careful next time yea? We don't want to have another visit like this now, would we?" He'd let off a slight smirk towards the child before escorting them out of his office.

/me took the call on the radio with urgency! "A student is having an asthma flare-up!?" Upon hearing those words, Emrys immediately made his way to the school's directory for student files in search of a rescue inhaler before rushing over to the scene immediately. Now having to be quick at work, Emrys arrives and assesses the situation direly, glancing over to the child in question, making sure he made it in the nick of time. Taking the inhaler out of his pocket, he uncaps it for the child, placing one palm on the back of their head, as the other holds the inhaler to their mouth. "Deep breaths with me. Follow my lead." Whilst holding the inhaler, Emrys proceeds to demonstrate the proper breathing method to the child, though in a way that's manageable and easy to follow alongside, taking quick deep breaths as the canister of the inhaler is being pressed simultaneously. He gave the child a moment, in prayers that they were able to maintain their breathing for the time being. . . He nodded in joy as the child was slowly feeling better and following as he showed. "Yes. That's good. Keep it up." With a successful aid, Emrys helped the child to the nurse's office to give them a moment of rest to make sure that they were feeling better completely, as well as a slight check-up for anything worse that could've happened in the process. Nothing was noticed. "If anything, you should be sure to check in with the hospital to make sure you always have an inhaler on you at all times. You could never know if something like that could happen again. Though as long as you're okay, that's all that matters. If you are feeling better, you are free to leave."

/me
was making his way back to the nurse's office, as he noticed a child sitting there waiting for someone. Upon inspection, he realized the child was covering their face, holding their nose even. "Oh my, I am sorry to have kept you waiting. Come, come!" Emrys gestures to the child to let them into the back room. He pats the seat as he walked past, to allow them a moment to sit while he prepared himself to help with the predicament at hand right now. He washes his hands before bringing himself in front of the child, gesturing with his hands to have them tilt their head forward. After a second, he lightly placed his hands on the side of their head to lean it forward himself. "Like this. ." as their head was kept in place, moving his right arm to slightly pinch the soft part of the nose, timing it to make sure the blood was kept in place. "Don't worry, nosebleeds happen to the best of us. Dry air, a good sneeze, bumping your face. There are many ways to get one." He let out a light chuckle. Once the bleeding had slowly come to a halt, Emrys reached for a tissue, gently dabbing beneath the child's nose. "There we are. All clear." he assisted in sitting them upright slowly. "Keep your head up now, nice and easy. It's actually a myth to hold your head back despite contrary belief." he smirked again, turning over and grabbing a few other spare tissues from the box, tucking them into the child's hand as a just-in-case precaution. "Alright, let's get you back to class now, kid."

Full Name (First & Last only): Emrys Dagger

Preferred Name: Emrys / Mr. Dagger

Age (Minimum is 25): 27
Gender: Male

Academic Degree: Bachelors Degree
Major(s): Business
Minors: Art & Public Health

Nationality: Congolese
Known Languages: French

Backstory

Living life as the Eldest of the Dagger Household led to some complications for Emrys. Similarly to others, he was left with high expectations from his father to continue running the family business of real estate and property management, but that wasn’t something that Emrys was sure he even wanted for himself. . ? After graduating high school in Paris, Emrys pursued a business degree, not because he necessarily wanted to, but because that was something his Father would always push for out of him, so whilst he spent his time in college, he continued down that route as it was what felt ‘natural’ to him. . . Though he managed to migrate to more of his minor, which was Public Health. He graduated with his degrees and continued until around the age of 24, when he knew that life like how he was living wasn’t going to cut it. . .

You see, for Emrys, he was big into the fashion scene, especially living in Paris, where practically all that he was surrounded by were people who looked different from one another in many ways that weren’t the average attire that everyone would tend to wear. Watching a bunch of old-fashioned runway shows made him understand what it meant to be unique and an individual, seeing all the fashion designers that tend to come through and put out pieces that stand out and have some sort of message behind them, which meant something to Emrys. Delving into this style some more, he managed to come across a lot of Japanese culture; that’s what really stuck with him. The art, their tradition, their style, everything in Japan was very diverse to Emrys, and the full encapsulation of these things, cultivated throughout the years in his head, led him to make a major shift in his life, causing him to move to Karakura, Japan, and pursue a dream of his and actually put those degrees he earned to use.

Emrys shifted towards the alleyway of a Piercing / Tattooing once he realized the knack he had in piercing himself and the infatuation he grew with being able to ‘bling out’ your face with metal. That was joyous to him, making him feel like he was able to boost his coolness points just by stabbing his face with a needle or two. As for Tattooing, art came naturally to Emrys. He was raised around it practically his whole life, as his mother was a painter, and his father was an avid collector of vintage art or other antiques. He specializes in fine-line work because he believes that it will complement the skin better and provide more meaning to your tattoos rather than a solid, flat-out piece.

Now, Emrys' dream was to become a tattoo artist/piercer within Karakura, and even eventually start his own studio; his minor in Public Health aided in that experience he had with needles, body anatomy, and what remedies people should take for proper healing; he was practically a pro at his early stages of being a piercer. Though because he and his family were fresh to Karakura, he was working from the ground up, and because of that same reason, he was also in dire need of employment, so he applied to be a Nurse apart of Karakura Highschool/Community College.

Motivation for Joining KHS (Character perspective):

" You see, I had a few reasons in mind. My father was a huge. . . Some would say, a pain in the ass and was always on my back about everything. He put a lot of pressure on me growing up, and it got real stressful. From wanting me to take over the family business, to forcing me into majoring in business, constantly on my head about my grades. . . He was a nuisance, but because he was my father, I was going to do as I was told without complaint, at least until I realized I needed to be my own man. "

" Eventually, I was able to build the courage to talk to my college counselor during the time, and she was able to help me pick up a Minor in Public Health. Fun fact, I really like piercings and needles, so in that field I was able to get a lot of experience in that as well, but I more so picked it up because I found it more engaging and interesting than business was, but as well as I wish to take care of my family, that is one of my biggest priorities and with that degree, I was able to learn a lot more that could benefit me and my experience more than I seen business could. "

" I also shouldn't forget that I wouldn't be sitting here in front of you if it also weren't for my brothers. Cairo and Edres. Cairo is the Physical Education Professor here, and he really understood the burden our father had on us as kids. He got some of it, but he understood that I got the worst of it as the firstborn. If it weren't for him, I would've never found the courage to step out of my comfort zone, out of that box that I felt I was in because of our father, and be able to step into a new experience that I would find much more enjoyable, and that makes me happy that going down the route of our family business ever would. And then my little brother Edres, he was always by my side, ever since he was born. He was the first to move out here with me, and we didn't have much to work with other than a little apartment we had to squeeze into together. He was the one who practically sat me down and forced me to apply for this job, and so I will also be forever grateful to him. As the second youngest, he was still able to sometimes have more confidence and make the mood a lot less desaturated than even I. "

" Then I would have to say my last batch of motivation would have to be the experience. As I have stated before, I have a Minor in Public Health, so my experience in the field is still very minimal. I wish to take this chance to learn more, to use this experience to expand my knowledge and strive to be greater in the medical field. I do not wish to windle at the bottom; we Daggers are known to work harder and harder until we can show our true colors and make it to the top. We strive to be the greatest. And with this experience, I believe that I can work to become greater at what I do. "

Why should you be accepted over the other applicants?:

" I believe I should be accepted over other applicants because I am an outstanding, hard-working, motivated individual who puts my best effort first. I have worked in a small medical firm before moving to Karakura, which was able to get me into the medical field at an entry position. I work well with children. I have a natural patience for them and understand that a calm and steady presence can make a big difference when there's someone in distress from a potential medical emergency. Beyond my professional experience, I also have been the head of my family for the past couple of years now, and that role has shaped who I am as much as any other work has. I have always been the first person there for my family in times of need, tending to sickness, treating injuries, and offering comfort when things got difficult. Taking care of others isn't just something that I do because it's my job. It's like a natural instinct in my body. I would bring that same dedication, reliability, and care to this nursing position, and I have no doubt that I would be able to be a valuable asset to this office and to every student and/or faculty within school grounds. "
