TRIVIA QUESTIONS

﹒ ⋆ ꩜ ⋆ ₊ ⊹ ﹒ ⋆ ꩜ ⋆ ₊ ⊹
What is the student council and what do they do?:
The student council is a group of individual students selected by the Chancellor. In short, they are the students that keep other students safe. They serve as the students that directly report to SLT when something is wrong, supervise, and hand out detentions when students refuse to listen to warnings. They are the voice for the students; In events they want, in supplies the school needs, and in what the general public reports.

What motivated you to apply for council? (e.g. Interests, friends, etc.):
Council is the only school faction I haven’t been in before, and it’s caught my eye like a month drawn to a flame. I yearn for new roleplay experiences, new friendships, and new opportunities! Applying for council, let alone on a college committee, allows me not only to play my college tag more often, but to be a part of something I’ve never been in before.

My friends might have something to do with it. One of my best friends and I first met when she was a council member, and I was able to roleplay with her. A few of my current friends are on the roster today, and if it weren’t for them, I honestly don’t think I would be applying.
Thank you, Mist, Qoro, Rex, and Disgraced!

My motivation also stems from an OOC standpoint. Growing up, I always wanted to be in the Student Council, representing my peers. In my early years, sure, I was on the council if I asked. But as I got older, it was a lot harder once I reached high school. I’m applying because it feels fun, and I know my character would fit in.

Are you aware that you’ll be having to use your creativity and teamwork ethic within the student council? (e.g. Coming up and helping with events):
Yes, I am actually. That’s one of the reasons I applied: The creative aspect of the faction. I’ve been on sports teams and the Lore team. I’m good with teamwork and creativity.

Can you list the roles in the council, along with other roles that might be important to the council?:
President - There are two of them, one for high school and one for college. To sum it up, they work together to speak for the entire council and the student body. They are the event managers, overseers, and occasional trainers, ensuring the councilors are hallway-worthy.

Vice-President - There are two of them, one for high school and one for college. The second-highest ranking within the faction. They help the president make decisions, and do everything the president would do, like a ‘right-hand man.’ Instead, these individuals do more assisting.

Council - The individuals chosen to keep the school’s order intact, while working closely under SLT. They are trained individuals who want to help the student body thrive. They are the individuals who enforce the rules while patrolling, pitch event ideas, and hand out detentions.

Trainers - The council members who train newer members. These few individuals are picked to help teach the council on how to act.

SLT - The higher-ups that all council members report to. The dean is the head of all council members. These are the individuals who take care of the suspended and expelled students after numerous faculty reports.

Educators - Teachers and professors. They are the individuals who act as, and are, adults in the building when class is not in session. They work closely with council members.

Employees - Similar to educators, these individuals are also adults in the building, yet these employees have jobs to attend to. Caretakers, receptionists, nurses, chefs, and anyone else who works during school hours.

Each of the individuals listed above can supervise and give out detention.

SCENARIOS

﹒ ⋆ ꩜ ⋆ ₊ ⊹ ﹒ ⋆ ꩜ ⋆ ₊ ⊹
While students gather for a school assembly, one student behaves disruptively, causing a disturbance. How would you manage the situation to restore order effectively while minimizing any additional disruptions to the assembly?
Tsukino thought to himself for a moment, wondering what he would do.
“I assess the situation firsthand, see where they are and who’s around.” A hand came up, a finger raised. “I’d give the student a tap on the shoulder, with a whisper saying something like ‘Hey, can we quiet down for now? You’re free to talk after.’ Warning number one. It isn’t about forcing them to stop at first, it’s about politeness.” A grin appeared on his lips. “And, let’s say the warning didn’t work. I’d try and sort out what’s wrong with them. Maybe they’re upset, or something else. I’d pull them aside to check on them. Of course, if anything further happens, I’d either call for a faculty member or write them a detention, all while escorting the student outside the auditorium.”

A student refuses to take their mask off after you’ve brought up detention and they’ve run away! What do you do?
“No point in chasing them around. I could get in trouble for grabbing them in an attempt to stop them.” A small chuckle escaped Korolev’s lips. “I’d radio my fellow council members, and any faculty who may be clocked in. All I could really tell them is… ‘Be on the lookout for a student running around in the halls, masked. I’ve warned them with detention so far.” A pause, clearly, the redhead was thinking about this. “Maybe a patrol of the halls to follow, not rushed, just doing what I normally do. If I were to find them and get them actually to stop, they could have a nice detention or a formal talk with SLT.”

A teacher observes concerning behavior from a student, including the creation of disturbing artwork and verbal threats toward peers. How would you collaborate with the teacher to evaluate the situation and intervene appropriately to address potential safety concerns?
“If this were in a class? My first concern,” A pause. “Would be asking the professor if they needed any help with the student.” The male gave a slight nod. “A lot of the time, my professors know how to handle it, and it normally results in a detention, or even a talk with SLT.” He formed his lips into a smile, a chuckle escaping before it died down instantly. “If anything, I’d write the detention slip, or do anything in my power to keep the class running smoothly.”

A group of students asks for your permission to stage a protest on school grounds. Would you allow them to protest? If so, how do you ensure that the protest does not disrupt the school environment while upholding their freedom of expression?
“If the group has a good reason, I don’t see any reason why they shouldn’t.” A fold of his hands, his back leaning back into the chair. “Of course, I’d supervise it myself, along with another council member to ensure it stays peaceful. I’d advise the protestors to do it by the pillar at the front of the school, or even in the courtyard. That way, classes won’t get interrupted, and I’d be able to keep the protestors contained.” - “Students should have the right to protest, so long as it remains peaceful in its manner. If it turns into something more violent, I’ll give out warnings so the students know it’s something serious.”

A teacher/receptionist has told you that you are doing something that goes against what you were trained by your higher-ups. How would you react to this?
“I’d talk it out with that faculty member.” A pause, his head lulling to the side. “Maybe we could talk it out about what I did wrong. Either way, I would explain that it was something I was taught, and that I would mention this to one of the council's higher-ups.”

Please provide at least one detailed event that the council can use as a future event to showcase your creativity! (Must be 300 words or more for one event):
A Knight of Clubs.png
A Knight of Clubs
A council and club mixed event.

A Renaissance-style event, with booths galore. Except, the booths feature the club leader with a few of their members behind. In short, it’s an event that unites all the clubs in one place while offering a medieval renaissance fair. Each club has a different style booth while providing the students with a fun event to attend. This event allows for clubs to show off what they do and hand out information about the clubs if the students are interested. It is a way that the student body as a whole can work together,

Journalism Club - Specialty Crafts. A booth where books are prewritten and students get to roll for different outcomes. Fortunes, predictions, past, present, anything to do with a book could be found in this booth. While it also allows them to report any findings they receive, such as how often a certain ‘roll’ occurs, how many students come to their booth, etc.

Cooking Club - Medieval Meals. A booth where the club's specialties could be served to the public to munch on. In short, the individuals working this booth could be dressed as chefs, wizards, or even something else! For all the food that they ‘create.’

Gardening Club - Plants. A booth all about, well, the name. They educate the students on how to care for a certain plant, grown from magic.

Occult Club - Spells - This booth accentuates the whole occult theme, especially in medieval times. A witchy theme: ‘potions’ brewed, magic spells that leave the student body questioning how or why what happened before their eyes happened.

Photography Club - Portraits. As the name suggests, this booth would be responsible for taking individuals' pictures.

Performing Arts Club - Demonstrations. This club is the individuals who demonstrate improv, and situations that the crowd gives them. They are, in a sense, the ‘jesters’ of the event. They tell the stories of different actors and their skills.

Media Club - Folktales. The club that will be in charge of passing down the folklore of different times. Each story is done by word of mouth, and different individuals hear different stories. It all depends of their luck of the draw.

Fashion Club - Silk Originals. Individuals sewing their own garments, only to perform it upon the individuals who gaze their eyes on their booth. These outfits reflect the themes of the Renaissance, and should be as creative as the tailors want them to be.

Sports Club - Jousting. Sports members perform on each other's backs, ‘knocking’ each other off wth fake swords. They are the main entertainment at the festival, minus the music. Almost as if it were a tournament throughout the night, where people could ‘bet’ their word on who’d win against one another.

Music Club - Bawdy Ballads. These individuals focus on Detailrp and performing the music for the event. This club will use its instruments to perform melodies and harmonies for the crowd, while not only staying stationary, but also walking around the gym.

Astrology Club - Charts and Scrolls. In simple terms, this club is responsible for the astrological aspect of the event. A student approaches them with their astrological sign, only to be told about their future. Everything is based on their star sign.

Book Club - Quills and Inkwells. A stall that gives out written books with silly prompts, only to judge the best ones that the night has received. It prompts students to collaborate and compete to create the best story about the event.

A Checklist for the Knight
☐ Access to the school through either the front or back doors..
☐ Each club must agree and select at most 5 members at a time.
☐ A build request, done within a week in advance
☐ The gym is to be cleared of the basketball plugin for a night

☐ At least twelve stalls for each club
☐ A Renaissance theme
☐ Colors galore with trees surrounding the tops of the event

☐ Streamers hanging from said ‘trees.’

☐ Different item requests for foods, books, instruments, props, and items to give to the public

Gender:
“I am a male.”

Age:
“I’m nineteen years old.”

Phone number:
“My phone number is 030-985-8391.”

How would you describe your personality?:
“Would extroverted work?” A small chuckle escaped his lips, awkward, unnatural in its manner, “I’m not a loud person, and I’m very well mannered if I’m being honest.” - “I was homeschooled for a lot of my life, but that doesn’t mean I wasn’t socializing.” He sat upright in the chair beneath him. “I’m caring, a giver. I was raised the youngest of six; I’m not short of conflict or problems.” Silence filled the air as he thought for a moment. “I’m not quick to anger or judgment. I know when something’s right and when something’s wrong. I am honest, even when it hurts in harsh moments.” Four seconds inhaled, four seconds exhaled. “I’m a straight-A student with a heart of gold.”

Appearance/attire (Please provide a picture):

Bowie is a redhead, a fake one at closer glance. It’s an abhorrent mix of syrupy hues with mahogany overtones. The reds, instead fading, appear as if they’ve been there for years - But red dye never comes out, unless you decide to dye it black. Speaking of his hair, it’s curly, long, and well-cared for. Occasionally, if you catch him, his hair would be in a ponytail, away from the dangers of it becoming knotted. His eyes are a bluish-gray, and no, they are not a gray-blue. His face normally shows a resting expression or a smile. His sleeves, for some reason, always appear to be cuffed, more specifically on one side.

Bowie stands at a good 180 cm, or 5'11. On a good day, he may lie and say he's 6'0. But what's the difference? His right shoulder sits higher than the left, just barely noticeable to the eye; Unless you look really closely. His posture is rather straight, on-edge appearing.

What separates you from other applicants seeking your position?:
“I’ve been on two teams prior to this, both of which have taught me that working with individuals is better suited for me.” A small pause, laced with a chuckle. “I’m a listener, and before I make any rash decisions, I think about who’d be in the wrong. I’m honest, and that means I won’t sugarcoat when someone is in the wrong. I’m a dedicated worker, and will work until something is finalized.” - “I step into situations when someone is in danger, and make sure they’re alright after an altercation.”

Why do you want this position?:
“I thrive with structure.” A small pause, as he was lost in his own thoughts. He quickly came ‘back down to earth. “I’ve always been one to enforce rules and schedule, so I found this position fitting.” A smile appeared on his lips. “I wanted to try something new, something in the school. Council seems like a good fit for me. I’ve always tried to help others around me, and I believe that this could be the exact thing I’m looking for in life.” - “I want to help others, and I want to be a part of this school in more ways than just a student.”

What interests you the most about student council?:
“Being able to help others and work in a team with people who want nothing but the best for this school.” Tsukino leaned back into his chair, his gaze still focused on the interviewer. “I want to help my fellow students, because they are the people who made the school most welcoming when I first came here.” A sigh, maybe the male was rather bashful about his first days in Karakura. “I want to be one of the people who greet new students and make them feel right at home.”

What could you contribute to make the school a safe and fun environment?:
“What can I do?” A small pause, the question made him think for a minute. “Give students a listening ear. A lot of the time, students act out because something’s wrong. If I’m someone they can go to for their issues, maybe then it could be a prevention for any fights that may break out.” - “I would enforce the rules, while being someone anyone can come to, rather than someone they’re scared of.”
