Backstory:
Sheela admitted that she had lived a peaceful life in India before something happened that forced her to move out. You see, her father was a detective; the kind that worked on many cases that had him stay in the office and solve so many pieces of evidence just to make sense of the case he was trying to solve. He always came home exhausted from hours of using his head, interrogating people ranging from associates, witnesses, informats and the many things you can think that would have a detective drink lots of coffee. However, her dad knew how to separate work away from home. Home was Sheela’s heaven. Whenever her dad came home at nights, Sheela and her mom greeted him with the happiest of smiles to lift up his mood and in return, her dad would make them laugh with the funny jokes he heard from office and whenever Sheela was that curious, he would tell his only daughter about the cases he worked on and even gave her tips on solving the hardest of puzzles he himself solved or he seen someone solve it. And in between those conversations, there were times Sheela and her dad would come outside to practice fighting moves together and her dad was quite proud that his daughter handled the moves well. He even admitted that she would be better than him in the future. So that was the normal routine of Sheela’s family as Sheela grew up to her teenage years. There were times she got into trouble with fights (and sometimes with the kid next door) and of course, she would get scolded because she gave them heartattacks whenever her parents would hear news about Sheela. Despite all of that, Sheela remained close with her parents and even remained friends with the kid next door. His parents were close friends with her own father so why break the bond that was even passed down to their own kids?

Now, we could say that karma works in a way even to the people with the nicest of hearts. Sheela remembered her father coming home relieved and with an excited grin. He immediately told Sheela and his wife of him finally successfully capturing a notorious Indian mafia that had gone rampant through the streets of India…and they even proved themselves unable to be captured. Even the hardest of those that remain undetected would always be captured. A slip of a tongue became the most important evidence the police had obtained. The mafia was detained from the lackeys up to the boss. It was a celebration for the streets but it did not last long. Few of those lackeys had escape from the cuffs of the police officers, got themselves armed and ready to rampage through the many homes of the officers responsible for their capture. The unfortunate first victim was her father. It was unexpected and quick. The screams of her mother telling her to call her father had Sheela go through the most panicked state she had ever been. The last sight she saw of her mother was when a machete was slashed towards her. Sheela, in the state she was, barricaded herself like her father had taught her in case of emergencies and the threats of the mafia members as they banged on the door rung through her ears even to this day. It got worse… Remember the next door kid? He heard the commotion, got himself a baseball bat and tried to save Sheela but he had the same faith as Sheela’s mom did. It was many against one…Sheela watched it all through the window of the room before she pulled herself away from the unsightly demise of the poor boy.

The threats and noises got louder and louder, loud enough that Sheela wanted all of it to stop. The volume soon intensified when her father arrived with backup. Through the barricaded door and the window, Sheela heard the protests of the mafia with the insults and threats they had and came the gunshots that ended all the noise. All of them, one by one, fell to the ground with every bullet that hit them, unable to continue their misdeeds anymore. Her father had his heart broken into a million pieces when he saw the love of his life on the floor of the home they built together. He pushed aside his grief to find his beloved daughter. The barricade was still intact which gave him relief knowing Sheela was safe. However, he found her on the floor, unconscious from the intense panic that Sheela had suffered throughout the whole night. That was the last time Sheela ever saw all of her family. The moment she woke up, she found herself in an airplane, a ticket in hand and luggage packed for her. And lastly, one distinct note from her father: “This place is not safe anymore. For your happiness, find a life where you don’t have to worry about this old man coming home safe and sound anymore. All I want is for you to live your own life with no more tragedies. This was the most difficult decision I ever did. I will always love you forever, Blueberry.”
