Shop #10
Why do you want to own a shop?:
I would love to own a shop for a handful of reasons. It’s been my dream to leave a positive impact on the server. My goal whilst owning this shop is to create a “safe space” for players to eat, chat, and hang out. I feel that providing players with such a place would bloom into more bonds in the community.
In my opinion, I believe I’d be a great fit for a shop owner. I have plenty of ideas for this establishment and I’m excited to express my creativity within it. I plan on being fully dedicated to my job, as in making sure everything runs smoothly and every customer is satisfied.
I’ve taught myself and learned plenty about business and management, and I hope to apply my knowledge into this job. Growing up, I’ve always had a sense of ownership. My parents are quite business-oriented people and have instilled in me to create my own wealth, along with values. Owning a shop is just the tip of the iceberg when it comes to creating wealth. Knowing the basics of math, entrepreneurship, and statistics is crucial in owning a shop.
As for food, I’d want to own this shop in order to provide customers with affordable menu items, as I have had money struggles when starting out on SchoolRP. I wouldn’t want others to have the same struggle as I did with trying to purchase food that would fill up my hunger bar quickly.
What do you plan to do with the shop?:
With this shop, I plan to not only serve food but to create an area for students to read or study. My goal is to have a unique “cozy cafe” vibe. I'm going to change the color scheme to yellow, white, and brown since it will fit the "studying" aesthetic, in my opinion. I also plan to change the name to “HuggaMug”.
Why “HuggaMug”?:
I chose this name because my goal is to make this shop into a homey and snug place to hang out. When it’s cold, I ‘hug my mug’ in the sense that it would make me warmer. I personally think this name is a cute play-on-word, and perfect for the winter season, as it has been snowing in Karakura. The location of this shop is quite perfect; not too many people are around that area, and not too much going on near there. It seems like a very comfortable spot for my idea of a cafe.
How will your shop be unique?:
As previously stated, I want my shop to have an area for students to read or study. Along with that, I plan on hosting special events at least once or twice a week.
One event in mind would be Study Saturdays when students come to the restaurant to catch up on their homework. The study area, as planned, will be a quiet space for those who need to focus on school work. Students that partake in this event may receive a 15% discount if they choose to purchase food. On Study Saturdays, tutors may also get an equivalent discount if they came to help a student.
I would also want my shop to host birthday parties, weddings, family get-togethers (these would be RSVP-only), Game Nights and Costume parties, and such. The winner(s) of these events would receive a prize, such as a free meal, drink, dessert, or even yen!
At least twice a week I would allow customers to rent out the restaurant for the RSVP-specific events listed above. With these events, I would allow the customer to request certain decorations. For instance; If it were a wedding, my team and I would prepare the “wedding hall” with the requested decor.
These additions would make the shop more lively, draw more customers, and overall make the shop more entertaining.
How many employees are you planning to have?:
I plan on having roughly 13 workers or so to start off my business; 1 Manager, 1-2 Event Manager(s), 2 Security, 1-2 Chef(s), and 6 Waiters/Waitresses. If necessary, I would add more ranks and open applications for more employees. Each employee will be trained differently, depending on their specific job.
Manager (18+):
The Manager’s job will be to make sure employees are doing their job when I’m not online. They will have full permission to open the shop whenever they please.
Event Manager (18+):
The role of an Event Manager is to host events on given days and come up with ideas for new events. They are in charge of what goes on during an event. If it is RSVP-only, they will be in charge of the reservations list.
Security (18+):
Having security in an establishment is vital. They help to prevent crime and assist customers and employees. They provide a sense of safety to those within the restaurant. Security guards will also be responsible for those who won’t be allowed into the restaurant and kicking out inappropriate customers. They will also be responsible for making sure all customers exit the building during closing time.
Chef:
A chef is an important role in order to run a restaurant, as they are the one(s) to provide food for customers.
Waiters/Waitresses:
The role of serving staff is yet another important role in running a restaurant. Waiters/Waitresses will also take place of a host/hostess. They will be the first impression on customers.
