Why are Teachers so important to SchoolRP?:

Teachers are incredibly to SchoolRP for multiple reasons; the main being that the most popular Roleplay in the SchoolRP server is well School Roleplay, new players to the server, beginners, start their SRP journey usually in school, they get guidance from Teachers, School Employees and Professors ICLY (In CharacterLY) and OOCLY (Out Of CharacterLY). When I first joined SchoolRP it was school time, my roleplay name was my in game name and I didn't know a thing about the server. Back then there was a starter tutorial didn't explain much, until a Teacher came up to me and explained everything I needed to know. That Teacher also advised that I joined classes and I did, that's how I made my first ever friends in SRP.

Teachers also organise and host classes, these classes might seem basic but actually teach you things, whether it's in real life things or in game things, for an example I joined a history class and learned some lore about Karakura, not only did I learn things but I actually enjoyed the lesson. I also had joined a drama class and I actually got better at acting. Teachers have many responsibilities, they cant simply host any class, they have to make their classes enjoyable and fun, otherwise it'd be useless for the students.

Teachers also assure that you always get an opportunity to roleplay, maybe some people don't roleplay enough because they're shy but once they join a class, I know for a fact that teachers try to make everyone participate, perhaps even receive a reward token. Teachers create roleplay opportunities for others and for themselves.

Do you acknowledge that if you are inactive you may lose your role?:

Yes I do and I understand.

Do you agree to undergo teacher training if your application is successful?:

Yes I absolutely do!

In-Character Section

What's your character's full name?:

Elena entered the room, she stole a glance at the interviewer and walked together him, she shook his hand and proceeded to sit down in front of him. Elena listened closely at his question then without wasting a second she respond with precision. "Hello! My name is Elena Hatake"

What is your character's nationality?:

The interviewer scribbled something inside his notebook than rested his gaze back onto Elena then proceeded to ask his next question. Elena nodded along, she took a moment before responding then spoke in a gentle yet firm voice "I am from Spain adding to that my mother is Japanese so I am part Spanish and part Japanese."

What is your preferred subject to teach?:

Elena studied the question closely in her mind "My father used to be an actor and I always had a passion for teaching, so I would like to teach Performing Arts, specifically Drama." Elena spoke, her voice passionate and full of hope.

Describe your character:

Elena Hatake stood before you her angelically long, light, snowy-blonde hair that flows freely and openly, almost dancing and moving around in a soft, humming, flowing rhythm as if a speck of breeze blew her hair strands apart. Each piece of hair strand seems to shimmer faintly and change different colours from between both the sunlight and moonlight, her hair as smooth and soft as silk. As Elena would walk her hair would flow in a gracious way, her strands of highlighted hair moved freely behind her shoulders. Though besides her hair, Elena's eyes would look hypnotic, her eyes would be a really deep dark shade of blue that seemed so rare. The colour and shade is just so rich that it reminds you of the twilight sky, which makes them have a slight mystery, secretly beneath in them... And at certain angles or lighting, her eyes seem to gleam and shimmer like newly polished sapphires that are fresh, her eyes are full of clear and yet quiet, light signs of determination and hard work! And besides that, her makeup is kept simple and yet stunning, mascara paints and coats her lashes flawlessly, which isn't overpowered or overdone, it's just perfect and clean for such an amazing woman! The mascara would makes her eyes appear both sharper and dazzling with a hint of elegance in them. Elena's skin would be a light-tanned colour which carries and shows different warm colours, in different lighting or shade, resulting it to contrast perfectly with her light, silky hair. Her skin is kept smooth to the touch, her dark black dress clings and compliments the natural tones of both her hair and skin, it makes her hair shine brighter and her eyes gleam deeper in shade, in response to the dark shades of her red dress! Elena Hatake's posture would never fail her, even at her age. Elena Hatake is a beautiful 31 year old.

What is your character's outlook on students and co-workers?:

The interviewer asked the question, staring into Elena's eyes in order to make sure to get the full story. "I absolutely adore children," she replied, the words pure and innocent. "I see every single one of my students as shining stars that will one day fly across the sky. Enough with the metaphors. In all sincerity, I see great potential in every single one of my students. I personally do not have a bad side, so whatever a student may do, interrupt my lessons or even bully another student, I will not treat them differently or see them as less than human beings. I treat all my students with respect and attention has they may need it." she replied, her eyes sparkling with delight "My co-workers are no different, I will hold immense respect for every single one of them, a teacher doesn't become a teacher without difficulty, so simply being able to call them my co-workers makes me respect them a great lot. I honestly look forward to interacting with each and every one of them and possibly helping them or listening in on their classes."

What is your character's motivation for teaching?:

Elena looked for a moment, contemplating on her answer, she opened her mouth to speak. "As I previously announced, my mother used to be a teacher at a high school in California. The way she spoke about her job, the passion, the love and the enthusiasm about her job, co-workers and students, made me want to become a teacher. I also would like to follow in my father footsteps, as I stated previously he used to be an actor and I would like to work as something that mixes both professions together, so I thought why not a Drama Teacher. I also have a will and passion for helping children learns things, things that they may not learn during their entire lives." She spoke with great passion. "Acting can be a key element in one's life. Everyone needs to have the ability to be able to step into another's shoes, to be able to speak in another universe." She paused for a moment. "I visited Africa once, and what I saw shook me to my core. During my visit I had learned that many students hadn't had the opportunity is learn how to read, write and speak properly. In addition to all this, I think that it is absurd that there was a time where women weren't allowed to learn and that all that they were supposedly good for was cleaning and cooking, so I guess I would also like to become a teacher in order to inspire other women to beat the system."

Roleplay Scenarios

A student in class is struggling to understand the content, what would your character do?:

Elena would approach the student, reexplain the lesson then offer to explain it to them in further detail after the lesson has ended in order to not bore the other students or making the student who is lost seem dumb or an easy target for bullying.

Elena walked towards the student kneeling down, her knees not quite touching the concrete floor, she glanced into the student's notebook. "You don't understand the content of what i'm teaching y'all?" She repeated, making sure to not miss a single piece of information. "Well we are currently studying the different types of drama; the main types of drama are; tragedy, where something tragic happens within the storyline. Comedy, where the storyline is funny. Tragicomedy, which is basically a mix of tragedy and comedy. Farce which is a exaggerated, absurd and full of physical humour. Melodrama is basically a dramatic piece that emphasises sensational events and emotional appeal, usually with exaggerated characters and distinctions between good and evil." Elena would explain all this with precision, she would articulate every one of her words making sure not to mispronounce any of them. "If you still don't understand, you are free to come see me after class and I will be able to explain in full detail what you didn't understand.

A student is continuously being disruptive in class, talking out of turn, and making jokes with classmates. What would your character do?:

Elena would not be too pleased, but she would approach the student and kindly ask him to be quiet or if he had something to say, to raise his hand and share it with the entire class. If this doesn't work she'd warn him twice more, until kicking him out of her class. Elena isn't someone who wishes to give out detention slips as if it's Christmas.

Elena walked towards the student "Hello, could you please be more quiet? I'm trying to teach a class and you're continuously being disruptive." Elena asked softly, her friendly smile plastered onto her face. She walked back to her desk but her the student once more disrupting. This time Elena marched towards the desk, not in fury but in silence and calm "I have asked you once before, please quit being disruptive. If I have to ask you again you're going to be removed from my class." She threatens, as Elena walks back to her desk she hears the student being disruptive yet again. She would walk back to his desk "That is enough, I have asked twice before. You are repetitively disrupting my lesson, if I catch you doing so again, I will remove you from my class." Elena turns around to leave until she hears the student mocking her and still disrupting, that was her breaking point, she would calmly remove the student from her class.

Provide at least 2 interactive class ideas related to your preferred subject:

1) Introduction of the lesson and to the material(s)
2) Giving guidance on how to actually perform what is asked
3) Stating the lesson goal(s)
4) Student participation feedback

⊰ Emotional Switch ⊱

Elena walked towards the stage and turned towards her student. "Hello Students! My name is Miss Hatake, and today y'all will be performing or observing a performance that I call an 'Emotional Switch'. For the performing part, I will need five volunteers." Elena glanced at the swarm of risen hands and picked out five people, two females and three males. "So these five students will have to switch their emotions in a high pace, so one of these five students will be a teacher" Elena picks one of the female's "You will be a teacher that suffers from the bipolar disorder, you will have to intentionally switch your emotions very quickly." She turned to the other four students, carefully so that her back wouldn't face the seated students off the stage. "You guys will have to mimic her but in a twist. You will have to do the opposite emotion that the pretend teacher is doing, so if your teacher is doing a happy emotion, y'all will have to switch to being sad." Elena then turned completely towards the other students. "You will have to observe them silently and write in y'all notebooks what you like and what you do not like. Constructive Criticism is what you will be offering the performing lot." Elena stopped in her tracks. "Oh before I forget, this exercise will train your reflexes, improve all of your quick thinking skill and it builds up y'alls confidence." Elena would hop off the stage and sat down and watched the students, waiting on the performance.

⊰ Blink To The Past ⊱

Elena smiled at her class then went towards the blackboard, she picked up her piece of chalk and wrote 'Blink To The Past'. "Welcome to my drama class." Elena said, her voice cheery and friendly. "So I would like three volunteers who will be acting, the rest of the class will be observing and then offering their peers constructive criticism" She clasped her hands together and ushered the volunteers onto the stage. "I would like each and every one of you to create your own identity, then write them on the boards, with your pretend character's full government name, age and occupation." Elena observed as one student wrote down 'Gabriella Hyushi, 19 years old, college student', another student writing 'Damon Wosho, 34 years old, train driver' and the last student that swiftly wrote 'Kyung Salvotar, 92 years old, retired'. Elena nodded in approval. "Splendid!" She would exclaim. "Now you will be acting out a scene, the set scene is that Gabriella will be riding on the train with her great grandfather Kyung. Damon will be the train driver. This scene will have a special twist to it, at some given point, I, the story's narrator, will say something about the past such as 'Go to 10 years before this incident', then y'all will have to act out a completely different scene which y'all will have to improve 10 years prior to this incident." Elena stopped for a moment, letting the information quick in. "This exercise will train y'all imagination, your improvisation which is extremely important for when y'all are older and your humour, possibly." Elena hopped off the stage and rested her body on the teacher's chair off of the stage, she would observe the scene unfold then shouted. "10 years before!" She watched the students scramble but improve properly, they ended it up being Kyung who was 82 years old taking out his great grand daughter, Gabriella, for ice cream, and the ice cream man was Damon.
