So how does this forum 'levelling' system work?

The title says it all really; how does it work? Is it amount and frequency of posting or is it just over time? Sorry if the answer of this has already been posted, if it has then just link it to me rather then wasting time replying.

It's literally just amount of posts accumulated.

More posts = bigger number.
