Describe your activity on the server:
As of recently my activity has become a little less strong, but I'm still able to get on fairly actively and reach my quotas where needed for the current faction I'm in! It's roughly an hour or so a regular day where I'm able to squeeze in, with more on the weekends typically. My time on the server just passed the three year mark recently, with a whole bunch of time spread across my two accounts. My main account has almost double my alt's time, however, due to having no real reason to play on said alt account with an inability to really flesh the character on it out proper. Here's hoping this will change that!

What is your timezone?:

What experiences do you have with roleplay?:
I have a significant amount of experience with roleplaying. It is a hobby that I have had for over a decade, in fact, for multitudes of hours each day when I was able to attribute even more time to it! A variety of roleplay verses and mediums to roleplay in have come and gone over that time, with my humble origins being in Garry's Mod doing Fallout roleplay, to stepping into Forumotion for some Sonic roleplay goodness. I've used even Chatango (I think it was called that, anyway) for text-based roleplay in the past and some other really obscure platforms. If you can type text in it and it's a solid enough game, I had a high likelihood to at least try to roleplay in it once. The number of characters that I've seen goes into at least the thousands and have made hundreds of them myself, with a variety of differing backgrounds and personalities. Ages, situations that shaped them, even different species - robots, animals, the likes. As you can see, I have a ton of experience!

On SRP alone, I've had stints in a few 'factions', particularly the Student Council which was my first experience of factions on the server. I was in it for a year roughly. Along the side, I also dabbled into DelinquentRP, with the Karakura ZEROS on my alt account (the one I am applying on!) which lasted quite a few months too. I dabbled briefly into the Teacher faction, which was excellent in the RP side, but I tragically couldn't motivate myself to make and host classes and had to leave after about a month and a half. This brings us to my most recent 'tenure' - KPD! I've been an active faction member for a whole year and a half now there, which I'm sure is where I'll be most known from nowadays.

What is your motivation for applying?
My primary motivation for applying to EMS is my character concept, frankly! I've got a strong desire to learn the way the hospital functions and dabble into medical knowledge as a whole; my father is actually an NHS worker in real life and I've always been a bit curious to a general gist of how things can be in the actual shoes of someone with lives in their hands. His accounts of how rewarding it can be, while also being intensely emotional and difficult to handle at times, serve to make me deeply intrigued. I've never actually really done medical RP to a proper level either. I've only done improvised treatments in apocalyptic based settings or emergency civilian style procedures, so a more proper and organised one would be a fresh perspective for me entirely. Of course, my interest mainly lays in the law enforcement side of things typically, but I've always found reality shows of surgeries, dramas of the stakes and things like that to be exceptionally good at pulling me in. As a result, I'd love to contribute to EMS where I can and get a proper dip into it. My character concept is also pretty much strictly made for the doctor role, but that is another matter entirely!

Which role are you applying for?
Doctor

What knowledge do you have of the roles within the Hospital Faction?
As I detailed in my previous application, my knowledge is not the GREATEST of the EMS side, but I have a general gist of the roles and their responsibilities.

Director - At the top of the hierarchy, the director is the one that is in charge of all of the hospital and its operations. Primarily responsible for managing staff and issuing disciplinary action, they are responsible for keeping the hospital in order, working what amounts to a back seat role for the most part; administration work and handling of more 'dull' but all the more important sides of the faction. Rarely will the director step in directly in the front line, but it is not impossible!

Deputy Director - Directly under the director, the deputy director is additionally an admin type role, though they can act a bit more freely between the lines due to having less of the responsibilities in contrast, able to be a bit more involved with the leads of the departments. Naturally, in the event the director is indisposed, the deputy director is able to take the reigns to handle the sides that need to be handled in their stead. They are also able to administer disciplinary action to employees where required.

Clinical Lead/Chief Paramedic - While the director roles are responsible for the hospital as a whole - the collective - the leads of the departments are in charge of overseeing their respective side of the hospital in a direct, front-line type way. Leading by example and offering guidance, they act as a significant stabiliser for the hospital workforce, ensuring that their departments function at the best of their ability. I am unsure if they are able to actually administer disciplinary action, but I would imagine so given their HU status, with actual dismissals falling under the above roles, however. The leads of also naturally the most senior of the departments typically, carrying the most experience and authority within said department outside of the director roles.

Paramedic - A somewhat unique role in the hospital, the paramedic role is one that you can only acquire after having been in the hospital for quite some time and by putting yourself forward to get into the emergency department. They are the very forefront of 'front line', first responder types that tend to directly work with the police department while responding to calls. They are equipped to handle bear calls, as well as independently respond to injury situations with the capability of administering first-aid to a much higher quality than the police can in the field and escort injured back to the hospital in an ambulance in blistering swiftness. They are able to additionally assist in emergency procedures in the hospital itself in the event doctors are unavailable. As a result, they are a very specialised role with a highly elite status among peers.

Psychiatrist - A role that is far more 'social' compared to the others, a psychiatrist focuses on more reserved observations and even therapy sessions, acting with the interest of assessing the mental states of patients. It requires a completely different type of patience to the other roles. While it is less direct danger of having lives in their hands, they still very much do have the potential to make things far, far worse for those under their care without proper empathy and understanding of the ways they need to act to ensure a smooth flow of appointments. They do not tend to see the more gruesome and horrid sides of the hospital's injuries, but they are exposed to significant mental stress from counts of trauma and other conditions that seriously test the fortitude of those subject to it.

Doctor - Arguably the most simple to understand role, but still plenty complex, the doctors are able to handle a variety of procedures that range from things such as simple physical check-ups, referrals to the psychiatry department, to far more traumatic bodily injuries and surgeries. Doctors handle a lot, being quite a versatile role in of themselves, acting as a sturdy backbone for the actual hospital; dealing with a majority of the worst types of incidents that the emergency services are privy to, battling with high injury and mortality rates to do a job that most would crumble under the weight of.

There are also different tiers of each role - such as trainees and residents, that sort of thing! But detailing them a bit more extensively is in my opinion, wholly unnecessary! Hopefully that isn't a problem.

Do you acknowledge that if training is held whilst you are online, you are expected to attend or you will be punished?
I completely understand this!

Character Backstory:
Born and raised in the mainland, Mina Kurokawa was brought up within a fairly traditional family. She was raised following Shinto practices as well as cultural norms, growing to adapt to the usual lifestyle in her town. Enrolling in school, she wasn't a particularly exceptional student at first, having some trouble here and there initially in understanding and comprehending studies and even taking things wholly seriously, but over time, she grew to take things with far more dedication thanks to a good supportive network of friends and teachers. This led to her being able to pursue her dreams, even despite having a slight 'distraction' in the form of a relationship in her late teens. Ironically, said relationship turned out to be far more than just a small phase, with the two of them staying together for what was set to be their entire lives; growing out of school together and tending to their own individual dreams, with Mina becoming a doctor through rigorous effort and care. A very lively woman, she was a warm face in a colder world, with many, many plans for the future; having a daughter and working toward seeing her plans properly come to be.

Fate unfortunately had other plans.

(This is a fairly vague backstory on purpose and I haven't really changed it much at all from the previous application, I hope that is fine. I also naturally wish to unfold more details through roleplay, but if that is a problem PLEASE do let me know!)

SECTION 2: MEDICAL HISTORY
What is your character’s medical speciality? Why did they choose this focus?

"I have always had quite a fascination with the human body, you could say. Fixing even the most deadly of wounds with a skilled hand." The raven haired woman spoke, with a soft tone, exhaustion plaguing each syllable, yet she continued with professional dedication, "I read and watched quite a fair bit of media growing up... Involving these sorts of life saving procedures. It captivated me, to think that I would be able to do the same with my own hands. So, I dedicated my time to pursuing it, with the intention of making it my life's work. I have succeeded in that much, at the least." A far-off look came over her features, deep in thought. "I had quite a joy in learning these things and becoming someone who could teach others. Give advice, to those... close to me. I specialise in general surgery, with a slight lean toward cardiovascular."

With a fairly high interest in the human body and its intricacies, Mina had always been curious toward procedures designed to fix anomalies and problems that someone was experiencing. Hands on, high stakes, life saving operations that were also naturally intensely emotional in dramatic media she watched, or in books she read. Even having a slight interest in something as silly as Trauma Center as a video game while going through her residencies (though she couldn’t ever properly finish it), Mina found herself very much invested in the notion of saving lives with her own hands. She wanted to be able to offer knowledge and advice to those she cared about, too, with a strong pride in being a walking encyclopaedia in her younger years.

Does your character have any work experience in medical positions?
"I've acquired quite a bit of experience in the field, through my initial residency and time as a hospital worker in the mainland. I've tended to quite a few surgeries and patients in my years."

Mina has worked in the mainland as a doctor for quite a few years, acting as a surgeon in a fairly large hospital; having seen and guided many operations by her own hand. Her transfer to Karakura follows a dramatic, unfortunate change in circumstances, with a desire to simply get away from the mainland and forget.

SECTION 3: CHARACTER KNOWLEDGE
Describe your character; how do they look, what makes them unique? How would they be perceived by others?

In a twist of irony, Kurokawa is someone that is exceptionally bland, seeking not to stand out in a crowd in any fashion. In the process, however, she ends up standing out a bit more completely unintentionally amongst the more colourful and expressive populace of Karakura, with her average stature and thick flowing raven black hair that she sweeps as tidily as she can to uphold decency of appearance, one of the most unique facets of her appearance are her tired, worn eyes - and face that seems to be unnaturally drained of coloration through most days. It seems to mostly amount from sleep deprivation, as she is always seen with a thermos flask, filled to the brim with coffee. It's almost always kept on her person, acting as her lifeblood in difficult, trying times. She also wears sleek glasses regularly, depending on them for crystal clear vision, but sometimes slips in contact lenses.

First impressions give a blunt edge to her, coming off unfriendly and anti-social, but underneath all of those layers, she is simply a troubled woman with a damaged heart that still tries to do her best despite her unfortunate situation.

Even so, the most unique thing about her presentation would be the complete shifting clash of her neutral state. When simply existing, in calm neutrality, she has a tendency to appear like she is thoroughly and utterly done with everything, yet once professional working focus comes into question, she activates like a machine coming out of sleep, which is unexpected thoroughly by most onlookers who expect to be harshly cast aside by a scowling dismissal just for looking at her slightly wrong. She typically prefers silence due to believing that if you have nothing worthwhile to say, it is best to not say anything at all, usually. This does not mean she is against lesser talk amongst colleagues, but it is simply a preference to be a bit more reserved, keeping to herself.

Outside of work, she tends to simply want to avoid people in general; not necessarily because she hates everyone, but because she is simply too socially tired to engage and gets exceptionally frustrated very quickly by repeated pestering. Even so, her older age and the natural maturity and wisdom that come with it serve to make her a very unique face among the usual rabble in Karakura, who tend to be unruly teenagers or younger adults.

How does your character act around the hospital?
Unbridled professionalism, unwavering dedication and sombre maturity combine to give way to Mina's outward presentation at work. She will never let personal gripes or vices get in the way of her work, swearing to her very core to uphold her oath and being an advocate for doing her job to the fullest. This extends to even those that she hates with all her gut - she would (begrudgingly) offer a hand to even the worst of people. Should it be possible to save them - she shall, for that is what one in her position rightfully should do.

Personal time is usually attributed to reading in solitude or drinking an unreasonable amount of coffee to keep herself conscious, withheld from her supply she would grow immensely irritable and twitchy. Typically, she shows less interest in small talk than most, simply focusing on getting the job done and dusted with efficiency, but she is not against it wholly. When the public are involved in the equation, she upholds an ironclad image, presenting herself politely, with an aura of as much warmth as she can muster in her otherwise colder personality. She truly seeks to help those that need it and serve her role to the fullest of abilities, even willing to listen and offer advice, comfort, if it is required of her to do so. When it concerns doing the best she can at her job - even the strongest of her internal stressors will not matter.

As outwardly as she can be, she will be available, at the desk to answer questions and resolve incidents, even if she dislikes being pestered to her very core. A job is simply a job, after all - one that must be done for the better.

Does your character function better on their own or with others?
It is no secret that Mina prefers her own company, with a tendency to be far more reserved compared to the average person, only made more apparent when contrasted against the residents of Karakura. Often quiet, she is still not against working as a team in any capacity, finding the benefits and strengths in doing as much. Despite this, she is confident in trusting her own hand and skill, believing her process to be tried and true! With a preference to operate as a lone, but heavily reliable worker, she can often be stubborn about handling things a specific way if she's set on that belief that it's to be done that way. A good argument must be brought up to convince her otherwise, which can lead to stalling and unneeded friction in getting a job done smoothly as it should be. As such, this is why she tends to function better when left to her own devices - but maybe, just maybe... She can be broken out of that shell, some day?

Hi!! I did my best to rewrite this as much as I could, but a lot of it will sound a bit samey to the previous application. I took care to differentiate it the best I could manage, even so.
