Backstory
Temari was born in Korea into the Yeoul family. Her mother was Korean, but her father was Japanese, and her mother had a rare condition known as "Laron syndrome", which affects a person's growth that results in them being shorter than most even as an adult, with their average height being around 4ft tall, but they usually looked completely normal as they are just a smaller version of what they'd be as an adult compared to the other form of dwarfism. Her mother was only 4ft tall due to this condition, which was genetically passed onto Temari, resulting in her only being 4ft tall even at the age of 18, and it came with many of her own struggles that affected multiple aspects of her life. During Temari's childhood, while she lived in Korea, she would attend classes to learn about her Korean heritage, and this included her learning how to read, write and speak Korean as well. She didn't like going to these classes because the other kids would pick on her due to her smaller size because they believed she was weaker or even cursed for something she did wrong and this bullying continued throughout her life, but sadly, this isn't the only struggle she'd have. Temari disliked going out to eat because, at times, she would have to get a booster stool or high chair in order to reach the top of the table to eat properly, and she hated going clothes shopping because she always had to get clothes from the younger sections of a clothing store in order to find clothes that would fit her small body, which both circumstances only humiliated her and even caused her to be picked on in public with people making little comments toward her or even gossip about her. Temari would have a hard time reaching certain places due to her small size as well, which always made her feel helpless because she felt like she could never do anything for herself to where she could be independent because she always had to rely on someone to do it for her instead. The struggles even affected her social life because even though she would be around the same age as those she tries to interact with, most would turn a blind eye to her, as they believe she is just a child due to her small size and the clothes she had to wear considering the clothes for her actual age were always too big on her, and this included her love life where she never has been in a relationship due to the same problem of them believing she was a child and being too afraid of getting judged by others who would think the guy was dating a child if they were seen together. Due to all these struggles in her life, she has no self-esteem and doesn't understands anything about dating, she is completely oblivious to someone flirting with her or is confused when someone tries to compliment her because she is so used to people insulting her or avoiding her like the plague. When Temari turned about 15 years old, her parents started to drift apart, as her mother was raised in a very strict family where she wouldn't allow Temari to do a lot of activities or anything that kids would typically do and this even included certain education because her mother believed in the traditional housewife style of education; such as cleaning, cooking, parenting and sewing rather than your typical educational studies, but her father was raised a bit differently. Her father wanted Temari to be able to be a kid, and he believed in the importance of the modern education system in order for her to eventually get a reliable career and establish friendships. Her father would often try to educate Temari and allow her to do various activities like a normal kid, but when they were caught by her mother, it turned into a yelling match until finally the father had enough to where, just a few months later they divorced. Her mother, being outraged by all this, didn't want anything to do with Temari anymore as she believed she was now a lost cause due to her father exposing her to other education and allowing her to partake in normal child activities rather than doing her duties of a future housewife. Temari and her father packed what they could take in a few bags, then flew back to Japan so Temari could learn his Japanese heritage and live a less strict lifestyle to where they settled down in Karakura in order to start a new chapter in their lives together, and Temari finally accepts her short size by finding solutions to her struggles when they arrive; such as keeping a small, foldable stepping stool that she can pull out during certain situations, climbing up onto friends or families shoulders to get a better view and even staying fit so she can counter certain obstacles that get in her way now when she couldn't before.
