What are your current roles on the server? (If you're college, specify your degree level):
[College][M][Baseball] Láilá Shinohara
[Grade-12] Zoo Zoju
[Bird] Barbaric Butterfly
[Adult] Mufūmota Maeng
[Grade-12] Nubi Shinohara (Applying)
[Grade-12] Chimamiya Maeng
Describe your activity and roleplay experience on the server:
I first joined SRP in June of 2025! A friend and I had joined together, and although we initially were only acting silly around other characters to joke around, we very quickly made new friends that helped us familiarize ourselves with the server, as well as apply and grow our own roleplay proficiency! We remain close friends with some of these individuals to this very DAY! From then 'til now, I have usually spent my time roleplaying with my friends or anyone else I happen to run into. I have come to realize that I prefer using more outspoken characters, but have had some great interactions while using a more reserved character, as well! Additionally, I personally enjoy using characters that have a family connection to other players' characters, as it expands the possibilities of character dynamics, and my characters sharing a living space with other characters can be lead to potential roleplay, no PROBLEM!
I mainly use my first ever character, Láilá Shinohara, who had started out with a NameMC skin ... but that didn't last for even 24 hours, as a very kind person made us free skins to start out with! That individual also taught us basic commands– /me, /it, /addcontact, etc.– and played the sibling of my first character for a short period of time. I still use my first character to this day, as he has had the most experiences out of all of my characters. BUT! That is only NATURAL ... since he has been around the LONGEST! Regarding my other ones, I had also been second-most active on my second character, Chimamiya Maeng, who was created last October ... she is the triplet of two others: one played by a longtime friend, and the other played by one of the first players we met on SchoolRP, so I can't help but feel very attached to those characters overall. We all joined the high school baseball team together for those particular characters, but left early on of this year. Additionally, when I first joined SchoolRP, from June of last year up until December, I would play practically everyday; then, from December up until April of this year, I had been very active on my first teacher character, Mufūmota Maeng– but my use of him has been dwindling the past few months due to prioritizing Láilá, who had joined the baseball team last April at the expense of Mufūmota's job ... very SORRY, Mufūmota!
Currently, I play on most days, unable to log on if the due date for my remaining assignments are cutting it close. This particularly results in me often being unable to play on during Sundays.
In your own words, why do you think professors are important to SchoolRP?
I believe professors are important to SchoolRP due to their part in the faculty faction; this faction takes place in the school, which is a serverwide experience due to the server's strong focus on the school aspects. The professors provide roleplay in a classroom environment primarily for college characters, and due to the college role taking a bit of time to acquire, they handle more experienced players that may be on their way to obtain a Masters degree for their character, potentially to lead them to graduating as a whole; however, homework to achieve this is not the sole issue. As it is a Roleplay oriented server, I believe there should be an aim to expand players' opportunity for roleplay, especially with many ending up in the same classroom during classes. I think their own choices regarding classroom activities can potentially bring characters together, resulting in newfound COMPANIONSHIP with other players' characters! Furthermore, a professor's job doesn't have to stop just in the classroom: shortly before my friends and I had our characters graduate high school, every other day, my friend's professor character would prepare our characters for the future by supervising them while they try out an activity in the school related to a career that character may be interested in due to their traits and interests. My friends and I also knew another character– not a professor, but a teacher– who would allow our characters to grow by teaching them life lessons (or even simple morality lessons!) outside of school. This would also possible for a professor, and I think it provides all parties the possibility for their characters to grow a little from such experiences.
Do you acknowledge that if you are inactive, you may face demotion or removal from the faction?
Yes.
Do you understand if your application is accepted, you may have to undergo professor training?:
I understand.

What's your character's full name?
Nubi Shinohara
She introduces herself to others as 'Nabi' Shinohara.
Age (Minimum is 27):
The seamstress loosely folded her arms before promptly answering, "I am 28. . I have been as of this February. . !"
Nationality:
"I'm Japanese and Korean. . fifty-fifty. I was raised in Korea," Came her simple answer, a hint of pride in her voice before elaborating, "You know– I have relatives from France and Spain, too!"
Preferred Subject:
Offhandedly, Nubi rested her chin against her closed palm. "HMM! . ." She hummed thoughtfully– pretentiously, even!– before straightening up. "Well!– my studies have always went towards fabrics and textiles," She subtly lifted a hand to peer down at her nails, then using that very same hand to smooth her hair back. . getting a bit boastful now! "My family is in that sort of business!" Nubi propped up her elbow, resting her chin against her fist once more. "Then, I'd say that Textures and Textiles would suit me so well!" She crowed, pompous as ever!
Describe the character: How do they look and act? What makes them unique and different? What are their plans for the future? Optionally, what is their past?
Nubi Shinohara is a young lady of Japanese-Korean descent. She stands at an assertive 5'11, a light tone of long, honey-brown hair atop her head as a scarlet bow holds her long hair into a low ponytail. Olive green streaks are nestled in particular strands of hair, alongside a skirt that reaches just above the knees. She is dressed in a light woolen sweater, her collarbone swamped by a flashy red scarf! Jade green eye contacts mask her eyes, distinct against her umber skin. She wears marroon toned socks over dark laced boots. Her outward appearance is accentuated by her imposing posture; her pretentious demeanor emphasized by her haughty mannerisms. Personality wise, Nubi is not the most agreeable around ... she isn't hostile without reason, but her arrogance and expectant tendencies may become irksome– however, by contrast, her blunt honesty displays her more loyal aspects. She is a hard-working individual despite her boastful personality, wholeheartedly wanting to be the most reliable when it comes to her talents. She holds utmost value towards her outward appearance, particularly in regards to her own composure. She is quite vocal when it comes to her own feats, no matter how insignificant: in fact, if a student of hers were to achieve something of awe– ANYTHING at ALL!– She would take the credit herself as the 'one they have to thank' ... Even if it's completely related to her own teachings! #SELFLOVE !
However, there is truth in which she does hope for her students to learn something of use from her– not only to feed into her own pride, but also due to her own internalized indifference towards the process of textiles and handcrafting. She respects the arts, and thus wishes that her own knowledge could be used in a more passionate context. She is most interested in aesthetics related to the ocean and the tropics ... and also happens to be allergic to shellfish. Around those she is close acquainted with, she is less enthusiastic about 'showing off', and tends to have more unrefined behavior, especially towards family. She can be snippy at times if she fails to keep her short temper in check, but she is too conscious of her ambition to maintain elegance, preventing her from using foul language or direct violence. When surrounded by close companions in neutral situations, she more laid back. Her pride causes her to prefer keeping her less desirable on the down LOW ... such as irresponsibility, dependence on others, inattentiveness when meant to be listening to a tall tale, etc.
Aside from fulfilling her own expectations for herself, this seamstress doesn't have an exact picture of her future as of yet. Her foremost concerns are whether or not she will inherit a leading role the textile manufacturing company owned by the elders of her family; after all, her mother, who is an executive, had eagerly named her 'Nubi', the Korean word for quilted fabric ... but Nubi deems 'Nabi' a much more stylish name! It's Korean for a flapping BUTTERFLY! She tries to be sensible when it comes to her own decisions and how it may or may not benefit her; additionally, despite her parents' wealth, she refuses to take pity from others, therefore only being willing to obtain such wealth by earning it herself. She is rather competitive when it comes to her brother, Hyun-Ki Shinohara; although he is a few years younger, they both share some sense of egotism. Her cousins temporarily study in Karakura, and Nubi was no exception! However, she had spent some time in Korea after her graduation, before deciding to return due to her preference of it's seaside and nature oriented location, the fashion sense of locals, and it's history regarding the paranormal. She doesn't mind the occasional crazy weather, favoring rainy weather the most.
What is their outlook on students and their co-workers?
Nubi's outlook regarding her students is that they are, in her mind, 'potential vessels' to creativity and talent. She finds satisfaction in visible growth as they hone their skills and knowledge ... although, part of it is, of course, from her own sense of achievement, she does admit when she is impressed with others' work upfront ... even if it's someone she's displeased with. If anything, she'd simply lack any enthusiasm when showing it. She is also willing to put her pride aside if a student were to correct her on a mistake ... but she may not be happiest about it! As for her co-workers– she has a tendency to be indifference towards their interests if it doesn't align with her own. She might need to GROW past that a little BIT! ... Maybe for everyone in the whole, WIDE WORLD, as WELL! As co-workers particularly in the art department, she doesn't find individual appeal in the educational aspects, but she does appreciate the result of art. Additionally, she's quite keen on sports, as she has a personal interest in professional speed skating and surfing ... although her interest mainly stems from the aesthetics.
What is their motivation for becoming a professor?:
Nubi had dedicated her studies towards teaching, specifically in the sense of becoming a Professor, as some view them in a higher regard. She wants to prove to her family and peers that she is capable of mastering her craft, as she had a head start from her parents homeschooling her early on, from 1st Grade up until her final year of middle school. Despite her not finding work related to textiles all that exciting, she feels as if it would be wasteful to not put the hundreds of hours worth of knowledge and studying to use. She can't stand the real thing, so she settled for being a Professor to teach about it, instead ... it does benefit her in which she can show what she knows, after all ... and that's what she cherishes the very most! And if the cards are in her favor, she'll be able to prove her capabilities to become high ranking in her family's company, FAIR and SQUARE!

A jock is ignoring your lesson and throwing paper balls at another student, what would your character do?
Nubi will initially be irritated at most, especially for throwing paper at another student ... what good will that do? It's a waste of supplies, at most! Peeved, she'll state a plain warning at first: "Cut it out, would you? . . Ah–HEM!" She'll try to smooth things over by continuing the lesson– they could only be playing around for a short moment, after all– but if the student instead persists in throwing the paper balls at their peer, Nubi will JUST might have to squawk out an even BIGGER warning ... "Enooough!. . Any more of this, and I'll have you separated!" She may be a bit on EDGE now ... her last nerve, too ... and– if the paper ball throwing continues. . no more CHANCES ... "Stand up, immediately!. ." Petty, Nubi has them both move. . as FAR as POSSIBLE! From X to Y within the current array of desks. Once the two has relocated, she will briskly question the victim of the paper balls whether they and the perpetrator are friends messing around ... or something more MALICIOUS! If the answer is the latter ... she will turn her attention back to the perpetrator! "So then, pick these up to have them recycled after class! Hmm– in fact, you can do all my recycling!" She let out a shrill CACKLE! "AHHH HA HA! That's not so bad of an idea!" She praised. . herself! Of course. . !
A student doesn’t seem to understand the material, yet hasn’t requested help, what would your character do?
Nubi has eventually taken notice of the student's inactive behavior ... they hadn't asked for help, but they don't seem to be getting anything done, either ... could it be that they're lost, but too proud to ask for guidance? Unsure, Nubi approaches the student, crossing her arms loosely as she got right to QUESTIONING! "Is there something you don't get about this?" She asks as directly as she can, hoping everyone can be on the same page as soon as possible! Upon hearing some form of affirmation, Nubi would promptly take it BACK a few steps, being more specific as she re-explained what had the student so stumped! But! . . even if the student claims that they're not in need of any help, Nubi will do a short step-by-step! A TLDR!
When in the faculty lounge, how does your character act?
Early in the morning, before classes have even started, Nubi will strictly keep to herself, crabby from her being a nightowl at heart. As she enters the faculty room, she makes an immediate beeline towards the coffee machine, her quiet attention being directed to making herself a cup with a plentiful amount of sugar, TOO! However, once 2nd Period has already ended, she'll have much more energy– definitely enough to last the rest of the day! She will seat herself, taking a moment to strain her ear for the topic of conversation ... if it's one that particularly interests her, she might as well chime in! She tends to not take the lead in conversations, preferring to add her own two cents instead– primarily one that is more opiniated. She doesn't pay any mind to what the reactions might be ... she simply found it refreshing to say anything at all! PHEW!
Provide at least 2 interactive class ideas and one field trip idea related to your subject
Interactive Class 1 - 'Nightmare Before Christmas'
Students will be tasks with having a holiday or season in mind ... and then group up with a friend or classmate! In place of a basic craft loom, they will share a square piece of paper while one person uses colored markers to put 2 colors for the holiday/season they chose on the top half of the paper, while the other does the same on the bottom half. This will act as a draft for a potential bracelet– but there is the POSSIBILITY ... that something will not be RIGHT! The issue at hand will be regarding color theory ... as it looks most appealing when colors match together as complementary, monochromatic, or ****ogous colors ... which may or may not work out with colors put together without this taken in consideration beforehand! To FIX IT ... Nubi can get a video on W2G to pause on an image that specifies what can be considered a complementary, monochromatic, or ****ogous colors ... and then work together to find a combination of colors that mix together WELL! If a duo were LUCKY DUCKIES and got all the correct colors by chance ... they would have to do the OPPOSITE and unfix it!
Interactive Class 2 - 'Hot or Cold'
Before the activity, Nubi will briefly explain a common variety of fabrics, as for the activity, as well as identify what is considered cold, warm, and hot temperatures in Celcius ... and how fabrics can change this for the better (or worse) when you are deciding what to wear that day! students will be tasked with taking turns identifying whether a classmate's attire is suited for random type of weather that will be decided by Nubi– Or maybe a student could do so, later on, if they wish– by judging based off of it's colors (dark colors are best in winter, light colors are best for summer), as well as the material they are wearing: eg. Jeans being better for fit for summer due to it being heavy and tightly woven, making it unbreathable and trapping heat; and by contrast, cotton is a better choice for summer due to it being breathable and soft. Once everyone has had a turn, layering can be considered, too! Like how people wear scarves in WINTER ... and sunhats in the SUMMER! Layering has it's own benefits, as well!
Field Trip - 'Three Little Pigs'
As for the FIELDTRIP ... it might be TIME to go visit the FOREST! The forest has many different kinds of material– from hard rocks, to soft flowers! Nubi will have a new TASK: In groups of 3, gather the materials for a teeny tiny house ... it has to be as STRONG as it can BE! Then ... the remaining students will be given hand fans, trying to blow the little houses away! The ones who's house is being tested will have to roll 20 ... 1-10 means failure to keep the house upright, 11-20 means SUCCESS! PHEW! Then, the students will be guided to a few structures within the forest ... the cabins, the tents, the fisherman's hut, etc. And must identify what materials make up the structure, including anything inside of it. Then, they must brainstorm which visited structure might just be the weakest, why that is, and what could be used instead of STRENGTHEN it! This will provide more insight on how texture can identify certain materials, identifying their own strength and defenses.
