Tips on how to shade?

Recently been practicing to shade, if anyone has any tips that would be great!

As off putting as it sounds, try finding skins you really like that has a similar shading style and looking into the shading style it uses you could probably take to consideration. Remember your not copy pasting the skin itself again (Do Not Copy Other's Skins), your only looking into how the skin was shaded.

Basically this. Look at a bunch of other peoples' shading and make something similar, NOT COPYING, but somewhat similar.
