General Appearance
Appearance: Toru is a tall, often flushed male with a bad case of an innocent resting face. He's slim yet toned, mostly around his chest and upper arm area. He's covered in freckles from head to toe. He stands at exactly 6'1ft and 169 pounds. His left arms is also covered in freckles, while his left is extremely scarred up to the point of appearing mutilated upon closer inspection. He dresses himself in comfortable sweaters, platform sneakers, tight or slack jeans, a few chains. Occasionally, a simple white dress shirt with a cardigan and red tie.
Personality: Surprisingly when you get past his sour attitude upon first contact, he's very playful and brotherly. He enjoys PDA, platonic or otherwise. He's a very physical person, that being his main love language. He loves teasing his friends, often pretending to be angry or salty just to mess around briefly. Despite being open towards ones close to him, he often needs time to himself. Thereby, it's not common for him to suddenly disappear off the face of the earth for a few hours, maybe days to clear his head.
Toru loves music, and swears he couldn't live without it. Asking about his favourite genre however may result in a long rant about how he views one having a 'favourite' of anything is meaningless, why can't people like many things at the same time?
God, speaking of rants. Once he feels comfortable talking, you almost can't get him to shut up. This often lands him feeling embarrassed for opening his mouth, which is often viewed as a sweet, charming trait.
Diseases/Illness: Toru suffers from bipolar disorder, formerly referred to as manic depression. Alongside this, he has a diagnosis for moderately severe depression.

Backstory (WIP):
Toru was born on the dangerous streets of Kamagasaki in Osaka, a hotspot for homeless people and gang activity. He lived with a father for five years of an unknown mother who'd dropped him off as a newborn at his father's door. His father, Satoshi Nishikawa took good care of the child for as long as he could, however their living conditions were much less than ideal. Soon enough, Satoshi's unpaid debts caught up with him, and he was 'taken care of' by a local gang.
Young Toru was left to fend for himself, and he scavenged and stole food, among other necessary living supplies. He worked odd jobs after reaching the age of 13, soon finding himself abandoning his childhood city.
Long story short, he ended up on the streets of Kurakara. After a few years of living without a proper roof over his head, he landed a comfortable apartment. Encouraged by a long time of self discovery, he decided upon getting himself piercings to make up for his otherwise innocent demeanor.
