What's your Minecraft Username?: ColMoJo
What's the title of your suggestion?: Train Crossing
What's your suggestion?:
To add a sign (and sound) above the two train track crossings at the beach which will warn people before a train arrives. (So we don't get hit. . . and die. . . brutally. . .)
How will this benefit the server and community?:
With the wonderful beach update we've all been enjoying, there's a new factor to crossing the train tracks that certainly adds a lot more anxiety to heading to the beach. . . the fact we can get hit at any moment.
I've heard a few stories of people being suddenly hit and almost been hit myself!
And while we have those crossing gates - they're really only for show than actually functional. . .
Perhaps one thing people could do is look both ways before they cross - but when someone is lagging, the train hasn't loaded for them yet, or they simply don't have time to stop and look both ways - there's no other indicator for when it's about to pass by!
I think something that could be small but beneficial would be an indicator - while working crossing gates (animated furniture items triggered by the train passing by) could be quite fun, I realise that might be difficult to implement and could break quite often.
I think it'd be lovely to have something like the train stations where a sign above both train tracks crossing gives a warning a few seconds before the train will pass by, or even showing how many seconds until it will appear! (Perhaps even a sound like how the train stations work.)
I don't have much knowledge on coding (read: any knowledge at all), but due to the fact we have working train stations with this ability, I assume it wouldn't be impossible to add this to the new beach update.
That's all, thank you!
(I'm not too sure if this has been suggested already but I wanted to put it out there anyway)
