Describe your activity on the server:

Rating my activity on a scale of 10, I would give myself an 8. As of writing this application, I only have one major commitment OOCly that only occurs one day per week, thus having a bit more freedom and time to commit to a major role like a Shopkeeper. Although I still try to balance my real life activities to SRP, and know when to step back and take breaks as needed.
Within the SRP server itself, I am very familiar with the Education Faction/School Roleplay aspect and the one I have the most enjoyment in. Although I have never actually worked within the faction, I am always eager to attend class if there is one being hosted. Most of my memorable roleplays were also done in the school itself, making the location a very familiar stage for me to take advantage of and continue expanding my characters’ stories. On top of that, I am also invested with the Clubs, having been part of a few across the years I’ve been on SRP. Currently, I am part of the Occult Club for over a year now, with recent additions being the Outdoors Club and Music Club.
I am also familiar with the Shop Faction! And an area of SRP I have grown to become interested in overtime. In-between managing my time with clubs, roleplays, and other minor activities, I find myself to be diligent in attending opening shifts among various shops that I am working in. The primary intention was to get a dependable source of income for my spending habits, but I have also used working at these shops as a way for my characters to develop.
Do you acknowledge that if you are inactive you will be demoted?:
Yes, I acknowledge that my lack of activity will lead to me being demoted from my Shopkeeper role.

Shop Information
/*You may add your own questions to the format*/
What shop are you applying for?:
I am applying for the shop, Rotatsu Music! But if I am accepted, I’d like for the shop to be renamed to Treble Tunes. The intention of renaming the shop is to step into a new chapter. But the intention is to not forget our roots, but instead is to give chance for new opportunities and experiences to sprout!
‘Treble’ is a reference to the musical symbol, Treble Clef, that is often found in music sheets and is also a clear imagery of when someone thinks of ‘music’. Tunes is the kind of word people associate with melodies or songs, and it can also refer to the tuning pitch of instruments. And putting them together, Treble Tunes kinda has a ring to it, as well as making it memorable while still showcasing what kind of store it is from the get-go.
Why do you want to become a Shopkeeper?:
The shortest and most straightforward answer to that is; I want to do something new, bring more roleplaying opportunities to others, and accommodate those who are more active in off-peak hours.
Having been playing on SRP since 2021, I was exposed to a variety of different communities and factions that the server offers. Ranging from CrimeRP, to the well-known KPD and EMS factions, to even the Sports Teams. But at the time, I was mainly intimidated by how big of a role they all have in their respective areas of the server that I chose to remain comfortable with where I am; being a student and attending classes. The furthest I’ve gone into actually joining anything was joining a few clubs here and there, and even now it has become my most common ground to be at- being in three active clubs currently and spreading my time amongst them. Working in the School Faction as a Teacher/Professor or Staff was something I have been interested in for the longest time, but the reason remained the same, I was intimidated that I wouldn’t do well. Before this application, there was really only one attempt I made in applying for any major faction in SRP.
Then two years ago, 2024, I joined my first shop (it being a restaurant). This serves as my introduction to the Shop Faction as an employee rather than a customer- and I fell in love with it! One of the reasons was to get a reliable source of income, yes, but I wouldn’t quite say that I have earned a lot as a waiter. Interacting with customers, learning how to operate a shop panel, having to be quick on my feet and adapt to the situation at hand- the work was in itself rewarding. Tiring, yes, but rewarding. And I even approached working in shops as a means to provide character development to my characters as I applied for more shops.
I join shops not because of the income they bring, but instead I keep it in mind if it is something my characters would want. That simple boundary I put for myself provides a bit of detail in my characters’ stories- their reason for wanting to apply for that shop over anywhere else, why they wanted to earn money. And putting a limit of how many shops they work at so as to not overwork themselves in character.
Just being able to form that kind of development had enticed me into looking into being a Shopkeeper, to bring such an environment into reality where characters can actually gain meaningful development via roleplaying in the shop itself. I personally find it a shame that there are not a lot of shops around who take the opportunity to roleplay even outside of opening hours. Why can’t there be moments of vulnerability when the shop just closed after a tiring and heavy day? Or having a day where both employees and boss just hang out and form meaningful bonds with each other? Those moments in-between shifts was a major reason for the pull towards being a Shopkeeper.
But other than the roleplaying opportunities, managing a shop is also another reason for my interest in being a Shopkeeper. It can very well be due to an old childhood dream of mine wanting to own a cute little bakery, but the thought of running a shop has always been something I was drawn to for the longest time. Being a part of five unique shops in SRP, I have come to learn and witness the challenges being a Shopkeeper brings. Most of which tends to be from the OOC side- with managing stock and taxes, as well as having to plan out when you are able to do an opening. But I have also seen how your shop can also be affected in an ICly way like an inspector coming in or KPD at the front doors because someone called them.
A more minor but important reason I have for being a Shopkeeper is my timezone. Being in GMT+8, the playercount ranges from as high as 90 to even below 50 during my more convenient hours. With a server so dominant in one timezone, most events or openings for shops tend to happen during 3-6 am my time. There is nothing wrong with it, and it is not their responsibility if they have no means to also account for those whose times are at a more inconvenient hour. So I’ll take on that responsibility, and take that initiative to allow others near my time to be able to apply for a shop they can comfortably attend for.
There is a lot that can go down being a Shopkeeper, and if I had thought of applying when I was younger, I would have been intimidated by the work to commit. But as my time in SRP continued, I have done different kinds of roleplay I never thought to do, being involved in a few ‘dramas’ that spiked my heartrate yet made it worthwhile. I am also surrounded by friends who are supportive of me taking this step, encouraging me which fueled my energy to continue writing this application.
I had been doubtful if I wanted to commit, but the longer I’ve spent time writing and refining my ideas, the more I realize that underneath my nervousness, is a strong desire to become a Shopkeeper.
What do you plan to do with your shop, and what makes it unique?:
Treble Tunes in its core is just a shop that exclusively sells instruments and other musical-related accessories. But I wish to take that concept further- because it is not just a shop. It is where dreams are made, where it is cultivated and realized to their full potential! If someone who has never touched an instrument before decided to buy one for the first time, why not go past the starting point?
Other than selling instruments and related accessories, I will also provide other services such as rentable practice rooms and stage performances. All of which will be elaborated under the question, ‘What will you sell in your shop?’
What about it that makes Treble Tunes unique? There are not a lot of places in Karakura for people to (realistically) take advantage of and improve their characters’ skills in music. Treble Tunes as a location provides that for them, from start to finish! Think of the services provided as a milestone; You purchase your first instrument, the next step is to practice it! What if your neighbors complain about the loud noise? Then you are more than welcome to rent a practice room! And if you’re ready to perform? Make your debut at Treble Tunes’ very own stage!
Just having that potential for roleplay makes Treble Tunes more than just a shop that sells things.
This does not make me blind of the importance of making an income, however. But it does show my intention with Treble Tunes- to add-on to the experience of the ever developing music world in Karakura.
Now, onto the other plans I have for my shop:
What is the theme and look of your shop?:

The theme associated with Treble Tunes are BEES! What about bees that made it so it’s the shop’s entire theme? If you ask the Shopkeeper himself, he’ll just say that he likes them and thought they’re like, funny little guys. A shop is gonna need an animal mascot after all for that brand!
In actuality? It’s never just one singular bee. Bees come together in a hive, symbolising teamwork and being a unit together to work towards a common goal. But it can also represent chaoticness especially when that hive is disturbed.
Both traits are what makes up Treble Tunes- a place of organized chaos where every single working ‘bee’ is but an important presence to keep the shop running. Bunch of busy bees, they will be!
Logo:

The logo I have drafted up has an alternative that can be switched according to the background.
Uniform:
Following the logo’s design, I incorporated it into uniforms! Each color representing a certain role within Treble Tunes for easier distinguishing;
A yellow collar being the normal employees, a purple collar being managers, and a unique uniform of a white shirt and red collar that the owner wears to truly make him stand out if anyone needs him for something.

(The example provided is not necessarily the final product and may be changed.)
As noted from the examples, the common trait of a Treble Tunes worker is the shirt and shoes. Employees are more than welcome to wear whatever bottoms they find comfortable in, and add-on or adjust to their uniform as long as the main logo and the color of the collars are visible.
The reason for such leniency is to allow employees to express their unique selves while working in Treble Tunes. But if they have no preference and/or extra clothes for some reason, then a certified work pants will be provided.
Exterior:
It's not that easy to own a shop whose theme has little to do with the summer beaches and ocean waves, so we're not! Instead, the majority can immediately spot Treble Tunes just from the distance with the exterior of the building bearing colors of white, black and yellow like a bee! Or at the very least, will have some notable bee and musical motifs to make Treble Tunes recognizable (compromising with what we can renovate within our limits). Naturally, we will have a stage outside again with instruments like the drum set, piano keyboard and a microphone stand to not just give musicians the equipment they can use, but to also showcase what they look like if they own it at their own home!
I noticed that at the back of the building, there is a HUGE empty space. To spice it up a little, I hope we can incorporate some kind of artistic mural of bees or music to further portray Treble Tunes as a store and make it more easily recognizable.
Interior:
Entering the shop that sells a wide assortment of instruments will immediately give the impression of how crowded and small it is. Showing off the instruments names and prize tags.. in every wall there is always some sort of mural or art piece, a poster of a band hung up or something that looks pretty cool. On one corner? A designated spot for an employee to stand on where they can showcase any instrument or accessory that's in their stock.
The vibe of the place is an organized mess of modernity and old-school. Similar to the exterior, the interior will bear similar colors based on the bee theme.
Leading upwards to the second floor sits the 'shopkeeper's office', where the Shopkeeper himself can be found if anyone is seeking his presence. But the main star of the second floor are the two practice rooms open for renting. It's simple in its interior, with the bare basics to give musicians all they need to start practicing. Although it is not fully private, as there will be tinted windows for either side to peer through. Nevertheless, the rooms will be, er, soundproof (as much as it can be) as to not disturb those outside.
What will you sell in your shop?:
Below, I have listed a few services Treble Tunes will provide during openings!
Yes it is not quite a traditional menu with a list, but as these are services we are selling to people, I believe it fits under this category.
How many employees do you plan to have?:
The shop itself is small, meaning less spaces for cashiers. So while I do plan to have a smaller roster, it would still have enough to hopefully spread through different timezones to have openings during those times!
How frequently are you going to open your shop?
A very good question to think about. Too many openings could decrease sales, but too little openings would cause players to wait for a very long time. And with Treble Tunes being a unique shop, not many places elsewhere offer the same services.
As such, my hopeful plan is to have at least one to two openings per week. In terms of quota for our employees, they only need to have one quota and show general interest/activity within the shop to stay as an employee.
An additional question to ask as a follow-up is, what time would my shop be open? My timezone in general is usually during off-peak hours, averaging about 70 players on a regular day. While this may be bad for sales, I personally think it’s good that players during this time will be given a chance to shop as compared to other shops who only open during peak hours.
Which I will also do openings for, no doubt. On top of having a fairly flexible schedule and two managers (soon) with different timezones, we are more likely to host openings during different times to accommodate the majority of the playerbase.
What is the hiring process of your shop?
OOC Questionnaire:
When Treble Tunes is looking for a new hire, a discord announcement will be sent first. Attached to it, a link to a google form that will ask about their basic information such as their discord, timezone, etc. Although I had wished for the hiring process to be entirely in-character, there are just some things I must take into account as a Shopkeeper.
IC Interview:
Another announcement will be posted that shows the available times during a week where they can find my character at Treble Tunes for the interview. There will be prewritten questions that players can prepare for in advance, but they must be prepared to improvise on the spot as there will be unique questions thrown their way. On top of the questions given, characters are also encouraged to add-on whatever they deem is necessary to show how good they are for the job.
What kind of employees are you looking for when hiring?:
Due to the focus of roleplaying in the shop, I will be looking for employees who are experienced in that area (semi-detail roleplaying, detailed roleplaying, etc). However, if players express interest in learning and doing more of that kind of roleplay I will also happily keep note of them. In that sense, the IC-interview will showcase their eagerness and skill to roleplay instead of just wanting the job for the sake of money. It's a bit strict, I understand. And I may adjust the requirement to be more lenient over-time, but this is how I see it necessary to fulfill my goal with this shop.
How their characters respond during the interview itself will also be taken into account (in an IC manner).
Provide some examples of advertisements you will have:

Character Information
Give a brief summary of who the owner of your shop is:
A 27 year-old man whose presence crashed through the front door belonging to Karakura. He was a face not many have seen before, a nobody who never lived among those familiar with the high crime rates, lenient school system, and a questionable government. But while no one has ever heard of his name before, Rinne Shimamura most definitely have heard about Karakura.
Donning a striking yet foreign appearance, he mixed in well with the cast on Karakura’s stage. His hair was an unruly mess usually held together by a simple bandana he wore, spiky strands of brown deliberately dyed to a bold red as if making a statement. His eyes? Piercing shades of cerulean blue, his stare heavy yet cheeky, as if he was always one step ahead. Always plotting.
Rinne does not have any formal degree (or.. Even a school certificate?), but he makes up for it with a wide assortment of qualifications he somehow has, and a skillset to brag about. Most of which can be debatable in its usefulness. But even so, you would think that he was nothing more than just a couch potato, leeching off other people as he fulfilled the role of a sad and pitiful adult with debts to pay and money to spend away in a pachinko parlor.
But the moment he heard of an opportunity where a music store was open for the taking?
He gambled for a second chance in life and didn't look back.
Why did your character decide on this type of shop and not anywhere else?:
The assumption people may have when they look at Rinne is that he is the type to want money and splurge it on short-term pleasures, which is not that far from the truth, really. So being an owner to any kind of shop in Karakura can almost guarantee a high profit to be made.
So why a music shop? If it was truly to guarantee ownership of a shop for profit, then you’d go for one with the least competition, right? Higher chances of success and whatnot.
The answer is simple, and honestly straightforward; It’s a music shop. And Rinne likes music. And having a high competition for the music shop? The stakes would only make winning all the more worth it.
That’s the answer he’ll give to anyone that asks.
The answer he won’t give? It was because Rinne had dreams. One where he was on stage singing to a crowd willing to hear his song. It wasn’t even for fame or money- he just wanted to make people smile, fill them up with joy and hope!
Such dreams are only fit for an innocent child and Rinne hasn’t been one in a long time.
Where do they see themselves in one year after gaining ownership of their shop?:
It won't take long for someone to experience another layer of this Shopkeeper- that Rinne is actually quite ****ytical and smart. He may have decided to become a Shopkeeper on a whim, but that was because he's also confident in the skills he has to take that risk. He's not going in completely blind!
So planning ahead, anxlyzing trends, making up Plan Bs to Plan Gs, it was second nature thanks to his upbringing.
But what about one year after? Where does Rinne see himself in?
In truth, Rinne has expectations that the shop would already be closed down by then. Less because of his lack of skills in being an owner, hah! How embarrassing that would be- But rather by choice. Or even give ownership to someone else- someone more capable who actually wants to be a Shopkeeper for the rest of his life. He came to Karakura being a shopkeeper not because of the money, or to leave some kind of mark.
He wanted to be near to his little brother again. But he knows it's not feasible, for they are not destined to live in the same world.
So where does he see himself in one year? With all the money he earned, most of it will be given to his brother to pay off his college, rent, anything he needs for at least until he graduates. The rest? He'll return to his old life to continue the destiny built for him since birth.

Additional notes about your application:
Rinne Shimamura has an intended storyline that will follow along his journey as Shopkeeper, which could lead to him eventually stepping down as a Shopkeeper as implied in the Character Information questions. Though it does not necessarily mean I will drop the role OOCly. I want to bring storylines to life with Treble Tunes and the Shopkeeper is no exception.
As of now, I have currently worked at Henki-Do, Pinkumo, Umisachi, Seikatsu and Kirei Hana, all of which have given me different views on how they manage their shops.
My main account is zacizach, as such the hours I have on umuriice is very little due to how hardly I get on it. Nevertheless, I am focusing on levelling up my attributes during the application period.

Intended to be quick and fast, each performer can only sing one song and speed through their introductions. But even so, the goal is to see how long we can keep the train of performers going! The best part? You don’t need to pay a fee to get on stage! (They still have to apply beforehand, though!) Play a Riff, Win a Gift! Show off your guitar skills! Impress the Shopkeeper, and you’ll get yourself a shiny new instrument of your choosing, for FREE! One per customer, though! And it could be via detailed roleplaying for more of that authenticity and IC realism, with the additional challenge of rolling against me to determine your success! |
You know how other stores have stages you can perform at? Well- those who purchased a certified Treble Tunes instrument (will be given a token or document to confirm) can go to these fine establishments and perform on stage there for a chance to win some COOL prizes! Whether entirely funded by Treble Tunes or a collaborative effort with the other stores involved- this event in particular may last for up to a month to give ample time for musicians to perform on these stages. Each successful performance on a unique stage (involved in the event) grants a ‘point’. Gaining all points (or performing in all unique stages) will give the ULTIMATE prize! What is it? I don’t know yet, but this event hopes to promote/encourage eager musicians to approach other shopkeepers to perform on THEIR stages to give everyone a good show! |
Employees working in Treble Tunes can freely use the practice rooms without the supervision of the Shopkeeper (but it must be noted down of how long they have stayed there, borrowing of instruments, etc.) to practice on their own. And with permission, can also invite other friends or their band members to take advantage of such benefits for their gain. On top of that, I will also occasionally give out an invitation for all working employees to get together and simply have fun! Something small like going to the beach together or doing a karaoke session- opportunities for our characters to gain memories to keep with them during their time in Treble Tunes. |

Uniform:
Following the logo’s design, I incorporated it into uniforms! Each color representing a certain role within Treble Tunes for easier distinguishing;

Selling Instruments and Accessories Being the only store in Karakura that sells instruments, it is important to me to be able to provide a variety of options for people to purchase. As such, a whole range of instruments will be sold! From guitars to keyboards, to triangles and even maracas! Of course, I will be looking into the list of what is available to be sold publicly. And other than instruments, I am hoping to sell additional equipment and accessories to enhance their music experience! The general list I have in mind for the items being sold is:
But with such a big variety of instruments and a limited amount of items you can sell, I am considering rotating out certain items every month or two! This will be based on customer input via votings in the shop discord to showcase their interest and the trends of what instrument they want to see more of. How much an item is sold will also be taken into account. I am also hoping to add more custom items to be sold down the line! Such items include;

| Rentable Practice Rooms As mentioned, one of my main goals is to create more roleplaying opportunities for characters to take advantage of for their own growth and development. I believe having practice rooms for musicians to rent for themselves, or their band, grants them that roleplaying opportunity. One of the challenges this brings is the shop’s current building layout. The building is small compared to other shops located in other areas. As such, the maximum number of practice rooms we’ll likely have is 2. Furthermore, the rooms will come with a drumset and keyboard, taking up even more room inside. This is currently based on memory from the last time I was there, but following a somewhat similar layout, the practice rooms will be located on the second floor of the building. How does it work?: Due to how small the practice room is, a maximum of 4 in a group is allowed to rent it out for 15k per head (the additional payment is due to instruments being provided during your time there) and will last for about 15 to 30 minutes. Depending on the popularity of the rentable practice rooms and without sacrificing time for crucial roleplay, renting the rooms could be done prior to the shop opening via discord. I am also considering a monthly membership that, while hefty in price, can allow players to come to Treble Tunes outside of openings to make use of the practice rooms without the stress of having it be done during opening times. There will still be a time limit, but it can last for up to an hour depending on the customer’s needs. The only requirement is that the Shopkeeper must be present during such times. Speaking of, the Shopkeeper will be responsible for overlooking this service in payment, managing and keeping track of their time. They are also responsible in opening/closing doors for them, giving out instruments requested to be borrowed (and ensuring it is returned). Players are also required to roleplay in /mec or /itc when they are in the practice room as to not disturb the other customers during opening hours. I am aware that this system will likely be overworked once it is put into practice, and I am open to changes to make this more feasible. |
| Stage Performances Making use of the outdoor stage that’s already built, I also want to bring attention to what I believe is rising in popularity, but still underrated… It's MusicRP! There’s already some stages featured around, perhaps in other shops or even out in Karakura. What’s one more added to the mix, right? Treble Tunes strives to give new and experienced musicians a chance to shine and perform. The stage is yours, Treble Tunes will just help with the advertising portion of your performances. How does it work?: Since Treble Tunes is just a humble music shop, there won’t be a dedicated set of performers that ‘works’ there. Instead, each performer must pay a certain fee to be able to get on stage (whether during the opening itself, or a planned event discussed prior). At the moment, I am planning on the fee to be 5k but it could change as I may consider other factors. Similar to the previous service, this system could be overworked once put into practice to see what works better. |
How many employees do you plan to have?:
The shop itself is small, meaning less spaces for cashiers. So while I do plan to have a smaller roster, it would still have enough to hopefully spread through different timezones to have openings during those times!
| Shopkeeper [1/1] | The role at the top of the hierarchy where all of the changes and decisions made for Treble Tunes must go through him first before being finalized. He is the one who had a vision, the responsibility of carrying the store’s future on his shoulders. Most, if not all of the jobs below can be carried out by him, but that would lead to an immediate burnout, haha. So his primary job is to ensure everything goes well, and that both the shop and his employees are well cared for. Ah, and they are also primarily responsible with handling the practice rooms during openings. |
| Managers [0/2] | It is always good to have some extra set of helping hands when managing a store, as well as another opinion to look at. Managers fill in to overlook the store and workers when the Shopkeeper is unable to do so. They help manage openings in other timezones the Shopkeeper will most likely be asleep for, focus on different tasks like helping to plan out more events or even taking note of the stock. If the shopkeeper is not present, then Managers are also responsible in handling the practice rooms. |
| Employees [0/10] | The most important role in the store! As simple as their task is, they are the face of Treble Tunes and are usually the first person the customers see. They handle the frontlines of dealing with customers, ensuring payment is received and giving out items. Thus, having a crew of them would be nice to fill in spots of different timezones. If there is space in the store to allow it, one of them will hold fort in a corner where anyone can come up to them to show-off all the different kinds of instruments the store has to offer! |
| Security [0/?] | Though uncertain of how much security- the question one may ask is, why do we need security? Instruments are VERY expensive. Anyone causing a ruckus could lead to damage in the store, one that the shop has to pay for. As such, if applicable, security could also be hired to make sure peace and safety is kept within the store. But we are hoping the customers will remain respectful of the space. |
