HOW WILL THIS BENEFIT THE SERVER/COMMUNITY?:
I cant be the only one who thinks this would be a cool idea.
Police can Infiltrate gangs and there are many more things i can think of a use for this.

But then you realize metagaming exists.. and then you start to wonder if you should even bother

Just to clear this up - We do not metagame information if we do we can be removed from the faction for it.

they already can do this. they just need motive and a good enough reason to be permitted by yonio to do such things. Although, I'm convinced there's a limit to what they can and cant do.

Detectives already have procedures in regard to going undercover, however, based on the old system that allowed for infiltrating gangs, it is virtually impossible unless all members of the gang have agreed to it. Without that, they'd probably have to lie about leaving the KPD (meaning they'd lie OOCly) or something along the lines of it to do so.

That being said, a long term undercover scheme isn't really possible without scripting it in a manner of events. For example, one of the old Crime Leads, Minobu, actually had an idea to introduce a gang that would one day be infiltrated from the inside, but it was never put into works
