Val is an only child. Both of his parents both died when Val was about to turn into a teenager.
Backstory:
Val's has had a very tough life ever since he was a child. It was normal till the car crash hit Val's parents car. His mother died on impact since she was driving at the time. But his father still lived on with some permanent internal injuries. At the time Val was already fluent in French because that is where he was born and raised. But when Val's mother passed and it was just Val and his father. Val's father is also Russian, so over time whilst Val and his father were bonding he taught Val Russian. But a little after that when Val was an early teen. His father died of a heart attack from the permanent damages of the car wreck. After his father passed and he had to go move in with his aunt and her husband. He was in a depressed stage for about a year. But he wanted to travel around the world and adventure. So he decided to live on his own in Japan. But he had to find the most affordable place to live. So he decided to live in Kakura!
