Due to being raised in a satanic household Vira has a rather strange way to go about things. She generally carries a low opinion of people, to begin with, and expects little to nothing from them. However, if someone makes a good impression with her they can change her opinion of them. Vira carries general respect for rules but views them as a suggestion rather than a law. Vira fakes being shy to new people in order to assess their personality, this way she can tailer how she acts around that person to them. However, if someone annoys or attempts to bully her, they will find that she can "flip a switch" going from nice and quiet to an ice-cold bitch. Vira strongly believes that people consider the consequences to their actions, and as such deserve whatever comes to them. Vira uses her clothes and hair to reflect how she feels on a given day, using darker colors when she feels bad. This way she can express her emotions without bothering others. Vira expects her friends to try to use her as she does them, so she keeps friends based on their usefulness. In school, Vira behaves like a model student for her teachers, this way she can get away with more if the need arises. Vira is very emotionally guarded, but if someone is around her enough and gains her trust she lets them through her tough exterior. Revealing the scared and confused adult underneath.

Vira was born at the NewYork Presbyterian Allen Hospital on Halloween 2002. Vira was raised in NewYork by her mother and father, in their small two-story home. Her raising was fairly normal, except her parents would disappear some nights to attend "gatherings" as her mother called it. When she turned six years old Vira was introduced to satanism, this was also when the bloodlettings began. Her mother and father being the ones to teach her about beauty, as well as how and why to use it. However the night after her first bloodletting Vira's aunt Trisha came to her home, ranting heatedly about how this was no way to treat a child. Trisha was also the one to bandage Vira's wrists, explaining to her that her mother and father were ill in hushed tones. However, due to her being so young Vira simply thought that it was because her parents wanted her to be beautiful. Through the years Vira attended various high schools in New York City but had to keep moving due to her father changing work. Through the years Vira became versed in the ways of the satanic bible, she was also privately schooled on etiquette and hand to hand combat. On her 18th birthday, Vira has gifted the black bow she wears in her hair, a symbol of her dedication to the "left-handed path". Vira's aunt also continued to visit her through most of her childhood, doing her best to teach Vira about how the world really works. Trisha was the one to teach Vira about emotions as well as show her that people were not all bad. Once she turned 18 Vira was forcibly given a tattoo by her parents, the dead raven, that was her breaking point. Vira immediately left the house, calling her aunt to come to pick her up. Trisha immediately driving to the park Vira was waiting at. That was when Vira decided to leave behind the life of abuse she had known her entire life. She and her aunt then left NYC so that Vira could attend her dream school, Karakura Academy, and live the rest of her life in peace. Free to discover who she really is away from her parent and the satanic church. Vira views her aunt Trisha like a mother, it is because of what she taught Vira that she is generally well behaved. Although she doesn't exactly know how to express or deal with her emotions that well. Vira keeps contact with Trisha as per their agreement for her to attend the school but is not required to live with her.
