Where is the DetailRP/Serious RP?

I've just come back to this server a couple days ago, so maybe I just haven't been online enough, but I've noticed a serious lack of good/cool RP. It seems everyone's just egirlRPing or goofballmaxxing now, whereas before i'd often find some seriously insane roleplay going on and could easily participate.

anyone else notice this compared to a few years ago, or is it just me and my lack of recent playtime?

It may be your lack of playtime, as there are plenty of people who do detailed/serious RP! Hell, it's one of my personal favorite forms of RP even when I'm not doing lore related things

where do you find this? im seriously having trouble. been looking everywhere. heck im even approaching random intimidating gangrp looking people during school hours just to satiate my RP needs.

I have a friend group that does DetailRP! My username is ilovemyplanex2 in game and ilovemyplane on Discord, you can always DM me on the latter (as my friend requests on the server itself are disabled). I'm usually up for it!!
As for in general, it can be difficult to find just randomly. . So really, I'd think your best luck is either with people who are in factions OR lore heavy things, if you know any

I think nowadays, people tend to keep detailrp to more personal or smaller groups via /mec as sometimes, other players around may not want to get flashbanged by a wall of text (and make their displeasure known in looc)

However, detailrpers exist and are very happy to detailrp when able! Even if it's not always shown
So one of the ways I can randomly test the waters if someone new I met is a detailrper or not is by roleplaying how I usually do with a bit of detailrp
Usually, they will respond back with the same energy! Or not
Then once you have confirmed the other is a detailrper bretheren, thats when the appends start flying

Unfortunately my timezone (GMT+8) may cause a bit of difficulty but if you ever see me around (ign, zacizach) then I'm happy to interact :D

In the end, many stick to their groups now days. I'm a /mec user myself, since people really make the whole 'holy yap, i aint reading allat, flashbang' type of comments if they see a detailrp in public. Itt's, not really the worst but it tends to personally ruin my mood all the time. In the end, sometimes it takes sometime to unlock the detailrp-ability with someone too! I know some people commit to it after a few replies back and forth.
