i don't limit my reading to just my favourite authors so i usually don't get too invested in the work of just one, however here are a few that piqued my interest as a kid
jo nesbo - wrote the harry hole series, one of the most notable books being the snowman
chris carter - don't know too much about him, wrote the caller, the gallery of the dead and the crucifix killer
stieg larsson - wrote the millennium series and was my entire childhood ever since my mom accidentally bought the girl who played with fire. i hate the continuations of the series after he died, i don't think anyone was truly able to capture his writing essence
tami hoag - again, don't know much about her but she wrote down the darkest road
there are WAY too many to name in one go but i recommend these, if crime fiction is up your alley

I don't read anymore, but my favourite author is Brandon Mull. He wrote the Five Kingdoms series.
