Little Red Riding Hood's Story

It was a sunny morning when I decided to visit my dear grandmother. She lived deep in the woods, and I often worried about her living so far from the village. I packed a basket with fresh bread, honey, and a little wine to lift her spirits.

As I walked through the serene forest, I felt a strange chill, as if something was watching me. Brushing off the feeling, I hurried along the path. When I reached Grandmother's cottage, the door was ajar. My heart raced as I stepped inside.

"Grandmother, it's me, Little Red Riding Hood," I called out.

No answer.

I approached her bedroom, and there she was, lying in bed. Or so I thought. As I got closer, I realized it wasn't Grandmother. It was the Big Bad Wolf dressed in her nightgown and cap. His eyes gleamed with a predatory light, and I could see the tips of his sharp teeth protruding from his mouth.

"Why, Grandmother, what big eyes you have," I said, trying to stall for time.

"The better to see you with, my dear," he replied.

"And what big teeth you have," I continued.

"The better to eat you with!" he snarled, leaping out of bed.

I screamed and managed to dodge his attack. I ran out of the cottage, shouting for help. That’s when Bear Lumberjack came rushing in, wielding his axe. He subdued the wolf and tied him up, but I was in shock, trembling and crying. I later found out that my dear Grandmother was found in the forest, brutally assaulted. I couldn't believe the wolf's audacity to disguise himself and lie in wait for me.

It was a day I’ll never forget, and it changed me forever.

The Big Bad Wolf's Story

That morning, I was just wandering through the forest, minding my own business. Yes, I’m a wolf, but that doesn’t mean I’m inherently bad. The rumors have always painted me as the villain, but it’s just not true.

I was hungry, as any creature might be, and I stumbled upon an old lady’s house. She was already lying there, lifeless. It shocked me, and I panicked. What was I to do? If anyone found me there, they’d surely blame me for her death. I decided to hide, thinking I might figure out what happened. I dressed in her clothes, hoping to avoid suspicion.

Then, Little Red Riding Hood showed up. She seemed surprised to see me, and I tried to play along, thinking it might help buy me some time to find out who really did this. But she started asking those odd questions, and I realized she was onto me.

Before I could explain, she ran out, screaming for help. Within moments, Bear Lumberjack burst in and tied me up. I kept trying to tell them I didn’t do it, but no one listened. They only saw the Big Bad Wolf, the monster from their fairy tales.

All I wanted was to clear my name. I never wanted to hurt anyone.

Bear Lumberjack's Story

I was chopping wood near the edge of the forest when I heard the screams. It was Red Riding Hood, and she sounded terrified. I grabbed my axe and ran towards the sound, my heart pounding.

When I got to the cottage, I saw the Big Bad Wolf dressed in the old lady’s clothes, and Red was backing away in fear. Without a second thought, I subdued the wolf and tied him up. Red was in tears, and I knew I had to keep her safe.

Afterwards, we found Grandmother's body in the woods. It was a brutal sight, something I wouldn’t wish on anyone. Red was devastated, and I felt a surge of protectiveness over her. She was just a kid, and that wolf had terrified her.

We brought the wolf to the village, but he kept insisting it was all a misunderstanding. I didn’t believe a word of it. How could I? Not with the evidence right there in front of us.

Rabbit the Cupcake Salesman’s Story

Business was slow that day, so I decided to take a walk through the forest to clear my head. I had my cupcake cart with me, hoping to maybe sell a few to anyone I might meet.

As I was passing by Grandmother's house, I noticed something strange. The door was slightly open, and I heard some commotion inside. Curious and a bit worried, I hopped closer to see what was happening.

I peeked through the window and saw Little Red Riding Hood talking to what looked like her Grandmother. But something felt off. The figure in the bed had a certain wildness in its eyes. Before I knew it, Red was screaming and running out of the house.

The next thing I saw was Bear Lumberjack rushing in with his axe. I didn’t stick around to see more. I hopped away as fast as I could. Later, I heard about what happened. Red's Grandmother was found dead, and they accused the Big Bad Wolf.

I couldn’t believe it. I always thought the wolf was mischievous but not a murderer. Maybe I was wrong about him after all.

Robin the Mail Man’s Story

Delivering mail in the Fairy Tale Woods is usually a peaceful job. I know all the residents and their routines, so I was surprised when I approached Grandmother's cottage and found the door open. I had a letter for her and wanted to make sure she received it.

As I walked closer, I heard voices inside. It sounded like Red Riding Hood and her Grandmother, but there was something strange about the tone. Peeking in, I saw what looked like the old lady, but her eyes were too sharp, too alert.

Then everything happened quickly. Red screamed and ran out, followed by Bear Lumberjack charging in with his axe. I stayed back, watching from the shadows. After the wolf was subdued, I approached cautiously.

When I heard about the body found in the forest, I was shocked. I knew the wolf had a reputation, but this? It seemed too much. Red was so convincing, her fear so real. But something didn’t sit right with me. Why was the wolf in Grandmother's clothes in the first place? And how did Red manage to escape unharmed if the wolf was truly out to get her?

The whole thing felt like a puzzle with pieces that didn’t quite fit together.
