School Employee Role you are Applying For: I am applying as a School Mentor.
How often do you log onto the server?: I log on basically every day. The only time that I won't be on is if i'm having family issues and I need to go calm everyone down and sort things out. Although that only lasts about an hour and it's getting less often as the weeks go by. Here is the amount of time i've been playing on Srp in the last year and a half: 52 days, 18 hours, 45 minutes.
Do you have discord? I do have discord and i'm frequently on it. My user is unfinished sentenc#6428
Do you have a microphone? I unfortunately do not have a microphone. It broke not to long ago.
Have you ever been banned, If yes when and why?: Yes, I have been banned before. The ban duration was either 1 day or a week. It was over a year ago and i'm truly sorry for lying oocly about not having a knife in my inventory towards a cop. I still regret doing that, but I have learned to just deal with the consequences in the rp and to not make a big deal out of those things.
Can you ensure that you will often come on: For sure I will be on often for the next month because I am out of school right now. The thing is, i'm going into high school so I might only be on 3 days during the week and the weekends i'll always be on. Yet again, i'm not sure exactly because it's my first year there, but i'll make sure to give the staff or people i'm working with, a heads up.
Do you recognise that you can be ICly fired?: Yes, I know I can be fired ICly at any given time. I'm assuming i'd get fired mainly if I either hit a student or got arrested for a serious crime. Both of those things are rare for the character I will be playing on if I get the job for becoming a School Mentor.
In as much detail as possible, describe the role of your chosen school employee: The role of a School Mentor is to provide guidance and support to the young in need. You must figure out different strategies in helping the youth learn things that they do not understand like many others. If you don't have a proper program, the outcome in trying to have the youth learn will be very negative. Having a good connection with the youth can also improve grades, family relationships, and decrease alcohol and drug usage. In forming any partnership, you should try to get to know what interests your partner has. Try to find research on how to demonstrate the effects of mentoring that can have on student attendance, attitudes, behavior, and grades. A School Mentor should also make sure to pay attention to the other activities both inside and outside of school to make sure behavior in their partner would change negatively.
Do you have any past experience in this type of roleplay?: No, I do not have any experience in this type of roleplay, but I certainly do hope to learn more about it from the teacher's and other employee's I am friends with both ICly and OOCly.
What experience, in general, do you have in roleplay?: The few roleplay's I mainly are attracted to are both gang roleplay and student roleplay. I am trying to open up a bit and have more fun with different roles such as the one I am trying to apply for right now.
Are you familiar with what your job does? If so, describe it: I sure am familiar with what my job as a School Mentor does. I go throughout classes helping different children learn things they may not understand clearly. Different techniques will be needed for different children but I will put all the effort in helping them understand what it is they need help with. I'll be open to helping the youth on both their life and homework problems. I believe that both of those things are needed to be solved in order to have proper academic achievements for later on in their school education.
[Situations]
During a workshift a student starts cursing at you for being pathetic, how do you react?: During a situation like that I would try to talk to them politely and figure out their reason for saying that once i'm done with helping my partner. Now if it were to be the student I am helping out with learning, I will practically do the same to them but with more emotion put into it. Asking things such as: "How are you and your family members?" "Why are you this upset with me?" "Did someone treat you wrongly and you don't know another way to express yourself or who to go to?". If it kept up and my strategies did not work as I was expecting, I will either get their parents involved, the vice principal, and the principal.
You are doing a hazardous job requested by the School Principal, how do you react?: If it's to keep all the students safe, I am all in. The students are the one's growing up to become the next generation and they are still very young. Now, if it is risking only my life, I would deny the request politely.
Another school employee is doing something very dangerous on the job or acting out of order, how do you react?: I would first call the police and tell them about the situation if it's really that bad, then contact the principal. If it's not super severe I will urge them to stop and if they comply then I won't need to contact the principal.

Motivation for Joining YHS: My motivation for joining YHS is to meet become friends with both the students and other employee's I have not connected with. I want to be more involved in the school so I can have more of a good reputation that others will know me as.

Why should you be accepted over the other applicants?: In my opinion feel like others have gotten the chance to have a job and try a different roleplay with others, but not only that, my friends have played as teachers, assistants, etc, and they said it's really fun and they met many new people. I look up to my friends' doings and I wish to strive to be more than just a student that screws around outside of the school.
