my character was caught in the blast, and no amount of preparation would have been able to save him. thankfully, he's been cursed by a demon ever since the incident, who takes control of what ashes of him remain, reconstructing them into a puppet which can be freely manipulated.
anyway, he takes a frisbee with him so he can play disc golf with his new demon friends (he can now speak their language)
