My work shifts are either AMs or PMs!
AMs = 9:30 am - 4:30 pm
PMs = 4:30 pm - 8:00 pm

I'm not fully able to choose what shift I get, but I do mostly have PMs! These are interchangeable, and I have a lot of free time during the summer whether I'm working or not. Other than that, I'm active on SRP in multiple ways. In recent weeks, I have been completing finals for school. Other than work and the gym, I don't have that much on my plate. I frequent the server often and its my go to game. I've been on SRP for around 4 years maybe 5... hard to keep track. No major bans. Three warnings I Believe and they were for very minimal things.

What is your motivation to apply for reporter?:
[Three major reasons!]

The first major reason I have for applying is my personal love for journaling and interviewing. I run the school newspaper outside of SRP for my school and have run it for 2+ years with a constantly changing group of people. I've loved every second of it. I also plan on this being a possible career for myself. If I can get practice where it's due, I won't drop that opportunity.

Writing has always been a passion of mine; if I'm given the chance to expand on the writing skills I have and also research and learn more about topics by educating myself, I will. There is no doubt that writing has allowed me to learn more about sore topics that are shrouded by media, but also learn more about myself and what I truly care about spreading through my writing. I'm fully prepared to start doing that in the reporter faction. Lastly, the reporter faction seems like a great faction to start with, as this is my first SRP faction after 4 years… Wow.. It seems very friendly and in my personal comfort zone. This would allow me to be creative freely, really capitalising on my personal strengths.

Do you have any experience with writing? What is your relationship with writing?:

Yes, not only do I have experience writing but also developing stories. I'm very familiar with my own writing skills. I've written character sheets, stories, lore, personal essays, research topics and even poetry. I personally have a love-hate relationship with writing, as everyone does; there are moments where writer's block hits me for a few days, and there are moments where I can write away for hours. It's honestly a toxic ex that I keep coming back to… call me Nikki from obsession at this point…

Are you aware of - and will follow - the set of rules provided to you?:

Yes, I'm aware of all the set rules provided in public forums for reporters.

Why should we accept you over others?:

I would say I'm better than other candidates due to my already built skills. I already know how to use Canva, along with having personal policy skills with interviews, journaling and digital media. These skills I already have at least developed a little; I would like to expand them more. They are not perfectly refined but are all at a level where I could manage alone or even in a small team.

Secondly, I have a lot of motivation and excitement for this role. I've been waiting for applications to open since I missed them by a day.. Don't get me started. I’ve spent so much time on my own doing personal passion projects and not being able to share with people, alongside not being able for them to have much relevance. I’ve had a lot of niche ideas and am so very excited to get started!

Do you understand you have to stay completely neutral with all reports?
(Your report can't have any OOC or IC bias towards a specific group.)

Yes, I do understand reporters must stay neutral and stay clear of OOC or IC bias.

Do you trust that you will be able to stay active and complete the monthly quota?:
Yes, the monthly quota actually seems less than I imagined, and I plan on being very active, especially over this upcoming summer. I also enjoy writing and do it in my free time, so giving myself prompts with this faction not only helps with my writing skills but also with journalism and overall storytelling.

Summarise what you imagine work as a reporter is:

This is assuming most interviews and stories have to be researched In-Character!
Starting with rough drafts of stories or topics and expanding them with first-hand experiences, Locations, known facts, and the attention of the subjects. Going out of your comfort zone to network yourself and your work, getting people comfortable with working alongside you. Once drafts have been set and the main storyboard has been created, it's now time to get to work with photography themes, color choices, and more to really bring your ideal design to life!

IC (In-Character) Information:
Treat this section like it is your own character answering it.

[Below is a Character poster!]

Full Name:
Claudine Saint-Clair
Claudine opened her mouth to speak, and as her lips moved, a gold flash hit your eyes, only for a mere few seconds. But those seconds showed you a unique grill attached to her teeth, an intricate design that captured your attention.
“My written name is Claudine Saint-Clair... Now you make sure you are careful with it now, shuga.”

Preferred Name/Nickname and Title (e.g., Ms, Mr)
Madame Saint-Clair | The Oracle | Mama Mambo

“I have many names now… I can't say there's one I prefer.”
A thick silence lingered as the woman thought to herself, breaking it with a chuckle.
“Mama Mambo, this is what my people in Haiti refer to me as. It's my name given to me by the Iwa themselves."

Current Age (25+):
29 years of age

A soft lingering scent of smoke lingered slightly; it might have given you a headache if you stayed too long. The woman before you was quite an interesting character to say the least.
“ Now isn’t that a way to a woman's heart, her age? It ain’t no shame to me! Twenty-nine years on this soil. I've enjoyed every breath, step and trip.”

Past job/work experience:
Priestess in Haiti for Voodoo | Businesswoman involving foreign trade

She was painted with tattoos, yet they were not normal; washed dark ink, it was white ink that flushed well against her dark-toned skin. Something you've never seen, or maybe a bit too common for your liking.
“This Life has given me opportunities some might never get. In my home country, I was a priestess, speaking in front of hundreds ... you wouldn’t believe the feeling. My civilian job was foreign trade, what you call.. Hm… Logistics!”
Degree/qualifications:
N/a
Her foggy, clouded eyes wandered to the corners of the room, lingering for a bit too long. cataracts.
“ Most people add value to education, immense value. I know just as much as someone who is twice my age. All I did was graduate high school. There's more value in travel than a textbook. . .”

Nationality and born location:
Haitian | Haiti

The woman's face lit up at the mention of her home country; her eyes held a blank expression; the lack of vision had forced her to squint.
“ Ah! My home country of Haiti is a beautiful place; you should visit some time, eh? Truly the bluest lagoons you could find. I was born and raised there, which makes me Haitian.”

Phone Number: 030-

How would you describe yourself in under 150 words?:

A hush gathered in the room; the woman was oddly silent, not her breathing was heard, yet her chest rose and fell at a consistent level. Calm demeanor, something not appreciated in recent years.
“I've been many things: a priestess, a daughter, successful and dirt poor. But not once have I been afraid. I've been scared, trust me, but never found true fear. I've been on the road searching for that fear in others, the fear of losing loved ones, fear of death… the fear of knowing more than you're supposed to. It's all so very intriguing yet something that haunts you till the day you take your last breath. I want to find that I want to share it with the world, that feeling. “

What are you interested in writing about? How will you achieve this, and would you consider going out of your comfort zone?:
The woman became more interesting as the interview grew longer. Giving the perception of an old soul in a young body.
“ My Interests are vague, but if I was forced to specify, I would add an emphasis on More sore topics, vast emergencies, government policies, construction projects, you understand, the.. Bigger, more adult topics. I'm fascinated in learning more about the hardships of our police and government, while expanding the ongoing protests from younger students and graduates… They are all so very interesting!”

What are your expectations for the job?:
The stillness of her being stayed unearthing something inhuman, almost creepy yet modestly noticeable to a person with a keen sense of observation.
“ hm… I do expect it to be interesting indeed. This city has so much story to tell and so many people to meet. How could one not be endowed with excitement? My years in Haiti were ones of younger pride and youth. These years will be ones of maturity and growth. Karakura seems to slow down one's need for more beyond what they have. So, frankly, my expectations are higher than you might be expecting. But I’ll persevere no matter

Do you have a criminal record? If so, list the crimes below:
“ Madame Saint-Clair does not fret with criminals in Japan… The criminals here have no fear. Brave ones, but the Iwa find them Childish.”
A brief pause before the woman's eyes flickered; a mask dropped just for a second.
“I have no criminal record in Japan, no.”

Fluent Languages (Underline your native):
Haitian [Lore wise] | Japanese
Foggy eyes peering through long decorative hair.
"I know two languages... to be brief, I've always found them difficult to learn; the human body has its own language that should be studied more than some words on paper. "

PROMPTS:
You will have to write two reports about a topic of your choice. Here we can see how pronounced your writing is and how creative you are. Use your own formatting and your own report idea. (If you're found plagiarising an actual report or another applicant, you will be denied.)

Currently in the works. Stay tuned!
