Describe your activity on the server:
Currently, I’m out of school for a while due to meeting requirements that has left me with a ton of free time! At the moment, the majority of my time is spent on my Cheerleader character which in itself is motivating to get on. However, before recently, I split my time onto my EMS character which contributed to my activity on the server both OOCLY and ICLY. I tend to be online most of the day, my hours spanning from noon to late afternoon or later. As most are aware, I am also a staff member; I’m certain that while I do have to attend to my staff duties, I am also active within factions and able to split my time accordingly. While it may seem challenging, I’m certain I can uphold being active with all responsibilities.
What is your motivation for applying?:
To start, I love the EM faction as a whole. Coming from being an EMS worker for about TWO whole years and in that span I achieved a lot like becoming a higher up and leading a whole department, it solidified my want to be inside the Emergency Faction as a whole. While my time in EMS came to an end due to my loss of passion for the faction itself, I still really love the community and still want to be a part of it. KPD being the other half I worked with for two years, I decided it’s time I explore that half and understand how both sides work. As much as I am versed in EMS, I acknowledge that this work is much different from starting as a cadet who will have to encounter very different situations, mostly involving combat and understanding how KPD procedures work. Not only this, but I have many friends inside the faction itself, those of which I wish to join in working alongside them and roleplay with people more inside of the KPD faction. I think KPD is a big area to get some great roleplay as I’ve experienced it from the outside myself, and I want a chance to do that. TLDR: I love the people in the faction, I want to RP with them whilst having not only an IC bond but OOC bond as well, and I want combat roleplay from the KPD side.

ITEM | DESCRIPTION |
|---|---|
Police Baton | A steel baton that's used by all officers. This item requires two hits to the head to knock out a player and is able to be mugged. The baton has a two block range. |
Handcuffs | This item restrains players that is used by all officers. The item requires you to action and a roll if the player decides to resist. Unlike the baton, this item is not able to be mugged. It's only a one block range that's able to be used, so don't get caught out! |
Police Radio | A radio that all officers use to talk to not only each other, but other emergency workers over the Emergency Frequency. The Police Radio CAN be destroyed, but that requires a sharp or blunt weapon. It isn't able to be mugged and can't be used offensively. |
Stun Blaster | An item that stuns players to prevent the target from moving, which is used by all officers. Just like the handcuffs, it requires you to action and roll successfully to be taken out whilst in range of another player. If the player wielding this item is able to hit a stun, it'll stun the player for 60 seconds. This item cannot be mugged and spans about 8 blocks in game. |
Breathalyzer | This device is used by officers and hospital workers to check how drunk a person is. The Breathalyzer can't be stolen or used offensively. |
Pepper Spray | Pepper Spray can be used three times by emergency workers. That being Hospital Staff and KPD officers. This item requires an action alongside a successful roll to be pulled out whilst in range of another player. |
Tranquilizer | A device used to tranquilize players. This item is limited to Police Sergeants, Detective Inspectors and above. It requires an action and successful roll to be taken out whilst in range. It also requires a successful hit to tranquilize a target, which they'll be unconscious for 2 minutes. If reloading, you'll need to action and roll to reload 2 darts if in range of a player. |
Riot Shield | A shield made of tempered-glass shield used by all officers for protection. This item is a bit more complex, as it's allowed to be used defensively and offensively, whilst in different hands. Defensively requires it to be in the main hand, which then the officer won't be able to use offensive tools. Whilst in this state, the shield will block any incoming frontal/side damage coming your way. If the officer's back is covered, the officer can be pulled away from it with an action and roll! In the offensive position, the shield won't give the officer any defensive property or offensive property. In this position, you'll be able to use your offensive tools such as a stun blaster or tranquilizer. If the officer using the riot shield is knocked out, it can be mugged with proper mugging permissions. This shield only utilizes a one block range. |

DUTIES
- Patrolling: The KPD take specific routes to patrol around the town, this being to find any crimes happening or any situations that need solving.
- Reports: Officers can take reports from citizens reporting crimes. Officers can collaborate on these reports and look into it.
- Arresting and Detaining: After a crime has been committed, most likely the officer will arrest the person. A person can also be detained for questioning, this isn't the same as being arrested.
- Interrogation: Pretty self explanatory, but people can be interrogated for crimes to figure out if they're guilty they've been accused of or seen doing.
Why is Police important to SchoolRP?
The Police in SRP plays a major role in the server itself. Even as a SCHOOL Roleplay server, having the KPD be a part of its world opens up a new dynamic that makes the server not only diverse but able to be expanded upon. There’s GangRP and Crime that not only need KPD to be there for repercussions, but it offers a bigger obstacle to those committing crimes. KPD plays a huge part in keeping the peace ICLY on the server. Aside from actual crime, the police are also here to play savior. While EMS tends to victims, KPD helps retrieve them and save people who are in danger from natural events or those in danger from others.
Do you acknowledge that if training is held whilst you are online, you are needed to attend or you will be punished?
Yes!

Describe your character; how they look, what makes them unique?
Easton Ryder is your average trust fund idiot. Not only does this twenty-six year old man not believe in the true crime that happens in Karakura, he thinks any sort of situation may be for the plot. However, finding work in Karakura he is soon to come to the harsh realization that life isn’t easy nor is a steady life easy to come by. His naturally blonde ruffled hair suits his rich background, more of a luxurious gold color that was a family staple in their looks. Ryder wore pearly ocean blue eyes and while a tad paler than others, he was awfully sunkissed. A white boy grown and raised in a rich town called Atherton, California, was definitely not prepared for the weather that was bestowed upon Karakura. Easton rarely considered himself fashionable, and shockingly, his clothes never really gave off ‘rich kid’ vibes unless you took a look closer at his Rolex watch or the ring he wore that was basically a rounded gold bar. Don’t worry, he’s not taken. An eyebrow slit was adorned onto his already structurally sound face, just to fit the California vibe that he so desperately fits into. He’s obsessed with TV shows with real life emergency work, one specifically being the 9-1-1 series. Of course, his favorite character being the one that most resembled him, Evan Buckley. Overall, Easton is a pretty harmless guy and while he may prove to be less intelligent than some in Karakura, he’s got a heart of gold that is burdened with ignorance.
How does your character act in a professional/casual situation?
Let’s start by acknowledging the elephant in the room that’s yelling “ADDRESS ME.” Ryder isn’t the most professional person and that’s shown by his careless Californian accent. The word “like”, fit into his vocabulary like a key into a very complex lock. In a professional situation, you might catch Easton whispering a joke to a friend to lighten the mood or just being silent in these situations. Unless he’s required to talk, you wouldn’t want him to say more before some ignorant phrase came out of his mouth. Something like, “Are we positive this guy just didn’t trip ‘n fall and like, say he got his leg broken by thugs cause he’s embarrassed?” is something he would definitely say, but not to a victim. He has just enough self awareness to not say it in front of them. In a casual situation, expect Easton to project all of his life to you. “Bro, I miss Cali weather on the lowks. Highkey though, snow in front of my house is kinda tuff, I can’t even lie.” Ryder has no issue trying to relate to others, crack jokes and make small talk.
What is their outlook on the idea of co-workers & teamwork?
Easton isn’t used to working in a team environment. He’s used to being a small leader, but not in the way you think. He’s used to commanding his butler or his maid, but never actually leading a group of people. This would definitely be a struggle for him, however he has no idea what he’s capable of. He believes he himself is capable of working in a team environment, and would have zero issues with getting along with workers. Though… while he BELIEVES this, surely his ignorance will get him into some trouble. Overall, Ryder is a golden retriever with a bit of venom to spit, even if it’s unintentional!
What's your character's backstory?
Easton Ryder, a trust fund baby that grew up with no sense or urgency to make something of himself. As a rich kid that grew up in Atherton, California, Easton had always believed that he'd be well off for the rest of his life. From telling off his housemaids, to swimming in his football field sized pool, he was set for life. Little did Ryder know, this soon would come to an end for him. On a cool spring day, Easton was called into his father's study. Often in said study was a scolding about life for the blonde rich kid, but he never cared. Today however, was different. On Easton's twenty-fifth birthday, he arrived into his father's study. It was marvelous, a display of true taste. All sorts of expensive toy models, ships in bottles, the entire rich people hobbies stereotype was displayed in this study. His father, who looked like he was worn out with the crows feet near his eyes and the wrinkles on his forehead, looked just as disappointed when he took a look at his son. Unlike Easton, his father wasn't born into his fortune. He worked for every single penny and dime, just to give Easton a good life growing up. A question arrived for the fortunate twenty-five year old, that being from his father. "Do you feel ready to go out into the world?" A strange question from his father. Never had be been asked that, it was always a scolding about how precious life is and how you should make your mark. Never, was it a question. This made Easton's hair stand up on the back of his neck, caught off-guard and slightly nervous, he replied with a no. Just how long was he going to try and milk his parents? No clue! His father rumbled back at him, disappointed as usual... but this brought more comfort to Ryder. Maybe the question was just a fluke. However, his father's next words would change his life for the worse, or so he thought. He spoke, explaining his own life and how he worked for it. Then, he ended it with, "You need to experience that." Unsure of what to make of it, Easton asked just what was his point? From the mahogany desk that stored important files and papers, a plane ticket with a paper was retrieved and sprawled out on the desk. The paper that lied on the desk was a listing of minimum wage jobs around home that he could do. The plane ticket however... that was a different story. The father grumbled again, "You have two options. One, you take a minimum wage job, and get out of my house. Two, you get out of my house and you move elsewhere, working for yourself." An ultimatum, yet no option seemed to appease Easton. He met his father with a frown, one that could run for miles and still not reach it's end. Immediately, he fought back, all the usual lies of how he can do better, work with his father and make something of himself; yeah, his dad didn't buy it. He slid both options over, no words spoken other than "Choose." There was no amount of fighting that Ryder could put up that would change his dad's mind. It was set in stone. The plane ticket was to Karakura, Japan, that place being somewhere he never heard of. He was given a year to figure out what he wanted to do and in that time, he spent it watching his favorite shows: 9-1-1, 9-1-1 Lone Star, and The Rookie. How fun. All of the shows have aspiring police officers like Athena Grant, John Nolan, Tim Bradford, and Carlos Reyes, all of which were near his favorite characters. Though, none of them topped Evan Buckley. After this year had passed, Ryder was feeling inspired. The police in California were subpar to his idea of police in the show, even if two of those shows took place in California. He figured, it was time to start new and somewhere nobody knows him. This is when he decides to take the plane ticket to Karakura. Well, he had to buy a new one. That plane ticket was obviously no longer able to be used. Off he went to Japan, going from his comfort zone to a new place he'd never heard of. How would he communicate? A long struggle in between him going into the police academy and his first day on the job with learning Japanese in between.

General Knowledge
Can you legally own a pocket knife in Karakura?
“Uhhh, I’d say no. That’s pretty dangerous. Do people actually do that here? In Atherton I never really heard of people carrying around knives. . .”
Name 5 medical items that do NOT require a prescription
“After visiting the Hospital, I GOT this question. First is an eye-patch. Tuff. Second, is cough medicine. I buy that all the time, it’s a helpful tool for getting rid of a cough. Well, Amazon did all the work. Third, paracetamol. Over the counter pain relief never requires a prescription. Fourth, bandages. If the hospital didn’t give them for free you most definitely can buy them… right? I don’t know, I’ve always had an in-home doctor. Last! A wooden cane. Unfortunately no wooden peg larping.”
If you see your co-workers physically abusing an inmate, what should you do?
“I’ve seen TV shows on corrupt cops… my favorite, 9-1-1. I didn’t think they’re actually real. IF, I saw my co-worker physically abusing an inmate, I’d do the most to make sure that it never happens again. I’d have to be SUPER discreet though, I can’t have them using their connections on me or something. I’d have to make some elaborate plan to protect the prisoner and them. Maybe a health check up? You guys got an infirmary right? If people are attacking with like, pocket knives in this town then surely. After making sure that they were safe, I would return them to their cell and immediately find someone higher than me. No radios though. . the corrupt cop definitely would be suspicious. Oh my god this would be so cool. Next, describe what happened! CCTV is everywhere, it was bound to catch what happened. Do you guys have audio on them? Face recognition or a face database to compare and contrast? Not important, anyways, then I’d let them handle the situation while I accompany the prisoner.”
What should you do if you see your co-worker being assaulted?
“Ummmhmm… let me think back to The Rookie. Who’s attacking them? It does matter, y’know. WHOEVER it may be, I would immediately jump in to assist the poor guy. He’s gettin’ wrung out by a criminal maybe? That’s horrible! Of course, with my hefty trainin’, I’d know more on how to deal with said situation. My personal self, dealing with a situation is to have my co-worker’s back. Obviously, I would apprehend the individual and call for backup or so what I’ve seen on The Rookie. I’ll be the Tim Bradford of KPD and have your guy’s back. After apprehending, I’d do two things: One, moving the person to the cells. Two, check on my co-worker. Make sure bro is fine.”
What do you do if you find out that your co-worker is corrupt and is helping criminal organizations?
“Whoa. That’s… SO THE ROOKIE CORE. Okay, so as I’ve learned from one of my favorite shows, it’s best to not let the corrupt cop find out that I know they’re corrupt. Keep it on the low, stay chill and start to gather evidence against them. We can’t have corrupt cops running around the station, that’d be horrrrrrible. Not only that, but if I was wrong and I tried to ruin someone’s career? That’d be even worse! Here comes the new kid trying to ruin lives, god I’d never hear the end of it. They’d probably keep me as a PO for the rest of my career. Anyways, after gathering enough incriminating evidence that was purely viable and didn’t look like I set it, I totally heard that could happen, my next course of action would be to approach a higher up with my work. I’d need someone I can trust, I can’t go to someone who might think I’m trying to stir up trouble or nothin’. I’m a hard worker! After passing my evidence, I’d wait for the higher up to give me further instruction and offer my help anywhere I could.”
How would you react to a criminal trying to bribe you?
“A BRIBE? Do people really bribe in this town? That’s like, a number one way to get another charge on your record. Even myself, I am not that stupid. Say if a criminal WAS to try and bribe me, I wouldn’t accept obviously. Even if I do need the money. One it’s against the law and I could fine them for that, which I definitely would. If they were not able to pay that fine, then fine, I’ll detain them and charge them for attempting to bribe an officer.”
