WHAT YOU NEED TO SUGGEST OR MENTION:

I have come up with an amazing update idea, well I think it's pretty cool and amazing. So I'm here to share with you what this update idea would hold and come with:

Car Dealerships:
As we all know we have the bikes in game as of right now, but if you read that sign it says, "vehicles might be coming soon if testing goes well". So that could mean possible vehicle update for players who can't spend real money on the game to get a vehicle. So how car dealerships will work, first off the main thing is you won't have to waste IRL money to buy any of these vehicles, they will all be Yen or whatever the next currency is for the new map. Secondly, any vehicles owners who bought a custom vehicle can give it to any dealership and sell it there. Of course they would make a bunch of money from selling it there, also if someone has been offline for a while and bought a custom vehicle automatically it would be put up to sell in a dealership. Every vehicle would be put on display for people to see what they look like of course so they know what they are buying. Every month a new vehicle would be placed on display in the far back that is a very special and expense car, and this will rotate every month.

Vehicles/Cars:
The vehicles and cars, will allow you to of course ride with people depending on how many seats you have, as I do believe these are already features for cars I do not think I need to elaborate more on this.

Driver Licenses:
Now for the Driver Licenses; So in order for you to legally be able to drive any car, not a bike or anything like that you must have your driver's licenses. The way you can obtain your driver licenses if when you turn 16 or older, so that means no greenies can get their driver's licenses yet. You will take a "test" on driving a.k.a just sitting in a car learning how to drive the car and making sure not to bump into anything, you will be graded on how many things you hit and how many things you miss. The whole "test" will be an obstacle course for the car, making turns, stopping at lights, letting people walk on the crosswalk, and finally parking. If you pass the obstacle course you get your driver licenses, but you can also lose your driver license more on that will be coming up soon.

Street Signs:
Of course you know, just stop signs, working stop lights, speed limits and stuff like that.

More Things For The KPD:
For the KPD to have fun in this update too, they can confiscate your car/vehicle if you are driving it underage, and can give you tickets for speeding or drunk driving. If you are drunk driving and you are at a certain percent that can get you killed for driving, you will get your licenses taken away.

Finally! Parking spots, make parking areas so that no cars are just parked in the middle of the road, thank you! That is all

No. Unless you’re talking about the people who bought a custom AND no longer plays on the server then okay. If it’s just for all players that bought a custom vehicle previously yet become very busy in life then no.

Take into account the many people who like to jump into the road or lay in the road just to be hit by a car. I’m pretty sure the cars can already be laggy and glitchy enough that it’s almost hard to control and the many people that will try to jump in front of the vehicle just to try and get into it or observe it closely probably won’t make this easier.

Like if they quit, like it will be the same like for customs that if you are inactive for a long period of time, you lose ownership of it

I believe they completely remove custom items from the pack if you’re no longer playing the game. I would rather have that than one day come back after a long time to see someone driving my hot cool Mario kart ;D. But I guess it depends on the quota of what actually a long time is. Otherwise I just have to disagree with that.

For customs it depends are how big the file is for the custom if they get rid of it or keep it, and it wouldn't just be a day that you are inactive it would be like possibly amount of months or something- I don't know how long it is for customs though

The car dealership idea seems great, keep in mind that although new customs are being added almost every week, new vehicles every month might lag the server even more than it would. Having to add new customs into the pack constantly would probably lag the server immensely as I stated above.

I feel that drivers licenses would be too difficult to manage, seeing as that many new players or “greenies” that you stated can still get a hold of cars and abuse the power of it. Such as them moving back and forth to run people over or driving on pavements and etc. Not sure who would even manage driving tests, since it may be the new “trend” in SRP one day and one person would have to run all the tests for a long period of time.

Working stop lights would be hard to implement into school roleplay (I think?), since the color would have to change, and it’s difficult to manage speed on cars because you either can “stutter” in car speed by continuously clicking the W key, or pressing down S constantly while doing so. There would be no mechanic to actually check how fast someone’s car is going unless you’re in the car. (There is a way you can check BPS (Blocks per second) I’m pretty sure, but you’d have to be sitting in the car.) Though stop signs and pedestrian crossing should work. Of course, you can always estimate how many blocks per second a car is going, I wouldn't recommend it unless it's going 4-5 BPS.

I think the ticket idea is a nice addition to roleplay, it makes it more realistic instead of just getting arrested after swerving. Being drunk should affect the way you drive your car, but I’m not sure if they can add that into SRP, seeing that the drunk plugin only affects your movement and speech ICly. If people desire their characters to get killed in car accidents whilst being drunk, they can RP that out themselves since I doubt they want their characters to die randomly. I wish parking spots were a thing, but sometimes they have to clear entities, so their car might get removed while they are away. Most people don’t leave their cars in the road anyway unless it’s for 1-2 minutes which doesn’t cause any problems for me. Having a bunch of scattered parking spots would be quite odd though. . Seeing that there wouldn’t be any stores to accompany them.

As much as this idea seems great, I personally disagree. The lag would make such a huge impact on the server and this means a lot more Players have access to a feature that a lot of Players had to pay a lot of money for.

A little over-complicated in my opinion, although It is highly unrealistic for Greenies to be able to drive a car.

I agree with Banter's response above regarding the "drivers licence". The idea itself would be pretty hard to moderate and would most likely be implemented as a Character Authorization thing rather than an IC process - they also aren't overly complicated to drive unless you have bad connection/performance issues. & green-tags shouldn't be able to drive or purchase a motor-vehicle.

I believe a car dealership was already in the works in the form of an NPC as well as a fuel system for cars. Check out the Update & Expansion timeline.

I agree with this idea, though it'd probably be something for the new map rather than Karakura.

I believe 'towing' vehicles is already a thing, though correct me if I'm wrong. As for reckless driving, it's more of an issue we as a staff team deal with via warnings and temporary/permanent confiscations; if a player is found abusing the vehicle system we handle it.

I believe after a certain amount of arrests relating to driving we are able to confiscate their car, usually we start off with a warning though unless their driving is crazy and their car is going from pavement to pavement. I’m not really sure since the KPD driving punishment system is still a bit confusing to me.

The problem is, if everyone owned a car and began spawning them the server would lag severely due to the sheer amount of entities. As well as this, I am having trouble picturing how the display idea would work. I don't understand as every server reset that would occur, the car would probably disappear which means SRP staff would have to consistently spawn them in again and again. I also extremely dislike the "if someone has been offline for a while and bought a custom vehicle automatically it would be put up to sell in a dealership" idea. How would you know that this person isn't just on inactivity? It could be due to personal reasoning where they could be away for months at end. The whole idea of buying a car for SRP is that it is YOURS and only yours. It is unfair for someone to come away after either a break from the server or a period of inactivity and see another player in possession of their item that they have spent 50 DOLLARS on. -1 for this.

I quite like this idea and find this idea the only realistic one. From a KPD perspective, this is nice as you can roleplay realistically with the cliché "license and registration please". However, I still think this would be difficult to do as there are multiple aspects in which though needs to be further thought about. Who would be the faction lead for this? Who would be the Driving Instructors? Simply, it just seems useless to me. -1 for this.

That's what they do with custom items.

I see your point, however custom cars are a lot more expensive. They normally do that with customs so they can be sold in stores, therefore making it a public custom- that's what I think anyway.

I think it’s $75 and not $50..
