Uh. . .
If you don't know me, I'm the user of the Music Teacher named Dylan Edgeworth. I've been playing SchoolRP for a little over a year now, and it's time for me to say goodbye for now and move on to the next stage of my life, as I'll be leaving to serve a full-time proselyting mission for my church for two straight years. I just wanted to write some of my parting thoughts down on a forum post and leave it up for those who know me or have known my character.
I never thought I'd even stick around. . .
I was introduced to SRP by a few players on another server that I administrate on. They wanted to show me a "Cool roleplay server they play on". I figured why not, so I joined them and learned the basic ropes of SRP. I created a character with the most generic American name "Dylan" with the last name of my favorite fictional character at the time "Edgeworth". (Miles Edgeworth from Ace Attorney.)
I didn't put any effort into my character because I didn't plan on sticking around... until I started interacting with different players and realized how much fun it was to actually roleplay. Fast-forward to now, and my character now has a wife and four kids with 5 whole IC journals of his history that I've written down as his life events happen. The character that I never intended to be significant is now widely considered to be a close friend or family member of many.
Becoming a Teacher. . .
At first, it was just an excuse to age up my character to FamilyRP with Dylan's wife. However, it quickly turned into something I genuinely enjoy. Despite all the masks and FailRPers.
I happen to be a Music Performance Major in college, emphasis on Brass and French Horn. So I have knowledge of basic Music Theory and have a huge appreciation for the musical arts as a whole. (You can ask me anything about music, I love talking about it.) Teaching what I already know and love just became second nature for SRP.
I will say... teaching on SRP is A LOT more different than teaching in real life. The main issue is that no one on SRP actually wants to learn, lol. So in order for students to actually enjoy the school experience on the server, the lessons had to be less about learning and more about having fun. That's what my main focus was, and it seemed to be rather successful, as I've had many students tell me IC'ly and even OOC'ly that they love my lessons. Which, means the world to me. We, teachers, LOVE it when we're complimented about our lessons because we genuinely put in a lot of effort into this role.
Wouldn't have had this much fun without you. . .
I'm just gonna write some thoughts about the people who had an influence on me on SchoolRP, whether that be IC'ly or OOC'ly.
Art. . .
I love supporting my artist friends. During my time on SRP, I've commissioned a few things but I've been gifted a LOT of art. I couldn't be more grateful to these people. I know how much time and dedication these pieces take and I love you all for your genuine generosity.
With all that said and done. . .
Thank you, everyone. Every single one of my students too, I loved you all in my classes. Thank you everyone for making my experience on SRP such a wholesome and loving story-writing experience. I might return after these upcoming two years, but that's dependent on my circumstances at that time. My last day on SRP will be the 21st Night of September. (The funny).

Just_Polar
The first dude to get me on SRP. You probably won't ever read this, but if it wasn't for you, I wouldn't have been able to meet so many wonderful people and have such a fun time.
Haru (rj)
You were my character's best friend IC'ly for most of his growing period. I thoroughly enjoyed roleplaying with you. You're the one that integrated me into a friend group, which only caused me to meet even more wonderful people. Thank you.
Livvy
You were the epitome of chaos and I loved it. There was never a dull moment in roleplay with you. I wish you'd accept my friend request on discord. Not sure why you decided to cut us all off when you left SRP. Just know that I miss you and still consider you a friend.
Miyako
Much like Livvy, you are also the very definition of Chaos. We had a rocky start with roleplaying, and at one point, you were genuinely annoying to interact with because of how stubborn you were at listening to my character. But that seemed to only serve a deeper purpose between our characters, as their bond as siblings have only grown that much stronger because of their history. You're a very sweet person and I love your attention to detail, especially on our character's history. I love roleplaying with you and treasure all of the moments I've spent with you.
Keiki
We created the greatest love story ever made on SRP, hands-down. The whole story about how our characters met, resisted the urge to fall in love with each other for years, then eventually succumbed to it, is such a sweet and entertaining story. We have countless screenshots of history. I will always treasure the story we created together between our characters. I'm so happy that we've become friends OOC'ly as well through the server. I enjoy talking to you and interacting with you in real life and in character. I hope to continue to be friends with you even after completing this church mission ahead of me. Remember that the troubles you face now will be for your gain in the end. I promise that if you endure them well, you will be a better person because of them.
Bree
I honestly miss roleplaying with you. I don't see you around much anymore ever since our characters broke up due to OOC circumstances. You're kind, gentle, and sweet. I'm glad I met you and got to have a close relationship with you IC'ly.
Halo
You honestly have an amazing sense of humor. I always enjoy our conversations in ANY context. You always seem to bring me out of a bad mood when we talk. I love overhearing your crazy character's life from two floors up from my apartment IC'ly, lol. I'm glad I met you while fishing that one day. You're a great person to talk to.
Russ
Man. You had to just void your character, lol. I miss interacting with you dude. I love talking to you ooc'ly though. You're genuinely kind and I can't thank you enough for the sheer love you've given me without strings attached. It speaks volumes about your character as a person. You're going to do great things for others in the future. You're going to influence people in more positive ways than you'll realize. I can't wait to see how you're doing after two years.
Edward
The most based dude I've met on SRP. I've loved every single interaction our characters have done. You're the greatest friend my character could ask for. Hell, you've saved his life on more than one occasion. I love talking to you IRL on Snapchat and occasionally on discord. Keep being the king that I know you are.
Ace
Ace, I don't interact with you very often. However, every single one has been enjoyable and wholesome. I love your character, man. And I love how you actively support and interact in silly ways in my class. I loved that one night where we had an awesome civil discussion about politics. It's hard to find people with a head as cool as yours. Keep being awesome, dude.
Jojaro
The first friend Dylan made as a new teacher on SRP. We were quite the team honestly, and I loved Jojaro's cynical nature and how he handled misfits in school. It was through you that I actually met the current friend group that we're both in now (In a way.) So I have you to thank for that.
April Fox (BabyDingo)
Your class caused my character to meet Edward, which was one of the most significant events in my character's life. You're a very fun and sweet teacher. I'm so glad I was able to talk to you even after you quit for a short period of time. Thanks for inspiring me to teach.
Nishee
I'm humbled that you decided to take on the role of being Dylan's daughter. You played it phenomenally for the short time that you remained on SRP. I loved every single interaction. I miss talking to you sometimes and seeing you on SRP, but your reasons for leaving are understandable.
Atlas
You're a genuinely caring person and I love that quality about you. You're very supportive in all aspects of our lives OOCly and ICly. Plus you're a band nerd, which is extra cool. Keep being awesome.
Zac
You are so unbelievably sweet and kind to me. Your art perfectly captures Dylan's image in my opinion, which is why I love it so much. I love your loving interactions IC'ly and love the Father-Daughter relationship our characters have.
Koi
If I had a dollar for how many times you've said sorry to me for something you didn't do wrong, I'd be richer than Elon Musk. Seriously, please know that your presence is loved and appreciated. I genuinely take pleasure in roleplaying and talking to you. If I didn't I wouldn't try so hard to have interactions with you, lol. I'm so proud of the progress you've gained in your real-life hardships. Keep pressing on, I know you can do it.
Riku (Taco Boy)
I'm going to kill you for dating Zac.
...
Just kidding. I love your energy and caring personality. Dylan still puts the Amogus plushie on his shoulder on occasion to match you. Keep being awesome, Taco boy.
Kashii
We've had some tough interactions both IC'ly and OOC'ly. Just know that I don't think of you any less of a person. I know your intentions are positive, even though we might disagree on the methods of execution. You'll always be 'Sleepy' to me. And yes, I swear to you I shower daily. I'm not smelly.
Sky
You're genuinely one of the sweetest people I've ever met. You seem to brighten everyone's day with just your sheer presence. I love your art and how you encapture the love between Dylan and Keiki within your artwork. Never stop being kind, it will get you very far in life and you will help so many lives with that kindness.
Haru (Spring)
I wish we had more interactions IC'ly and even OOCly. You're so kind to me when I feel I've done nothing to deserve it. I love your art and the gifts you've given me. Thank you so much.
Isoroku
I love your energy and your genuine "I really don't give a crap" nature. It's so entertaining and fun to watch. Most of our interactions are OOC (And many IC interactions we have are usually voided LOL). But know that I've loved getting to know you. Stay epic my friend.
