You wouldn't remember anything. Since it's an AU it's essentially if your character was in another world, but it isn't technically your character since it's an alternate universe. Essentially, your character won't have even experienced anything mentioning of the purge. Not even as a dream!

maybe a little ambitious, but make it a weekend long event instead of just a day. that way maybe some rp could actually start and the idea of it being an AU could really develop?? the event server can be opened for a couple days, this does mean that it'd need some moderators on it all the time. this also depends on if there's heavy lean on the mechanics of mc (with zombies) or if its more player interaction based. ive always wanted to see a pseudo-proper apocalypserp AU. (theres plenty of reasons this isnt possible, but its a fun thought!)

I remember in the year 2000, when this baby came out.
Battle Royale
(based on a Japanese dystopian novel from 1999)
It was adapted into a manga series and a (for our time back then) highly controversial film in 2000!
It's set in an alternate history where Japan is a totalitarian state known as the Republic of Greater East Asia.
Each year, a random class of students is chosen to participate. They are all fitted with explosive collars (that detonate if they try to escape or break the rules).
They are taken to a remote island, given weapons and forced to fight each other (until only one survivor remains.)
And of course, the game is broadcasted as a form of entertainment and a means of instilling fear and control the population.
If you haven't guessed it - the western adaption was --> The Hunger Games and Maze Runner and so on.
And all the Battle Royale game modes are named after it. And of course The Purge was also inspired by it.
(I just noticed that all those "teen" actors must be in their mid-fourties now - some even might be fifty. Jeebus.)

When I was in grade 8, i watched this with my class. Then we had to make a 10 paragraph document on it
