Have you ever been bored on SRP? Scared of talking to new people because no one RP likes your friends do? I feel like we’ve all been there. Yes I understand it’s a social server but a lot of people struggle to actually communicate and connect with others on this server. My suggestion— add solo things to do on SRP. Maybe things like a plugin or something as a hobby or some way to have fun doing something solo. Numerous of times I have found myself doing nothing on SRP because well it’s the weekend and none of my friends seem to be on.

Another suggestion that adds onto things to do is moods. We have all played either bloxburg or the sims. I suggest character moods. A happy, hungry, energy stat to make roleplay more realistic. I understand that this is minecraft and well it wouldn’t be the easiest to code, but I think it adds something to do in a solo sense where we are able to take care of our characters as we play as them.

How will this benefit the server and community?:
1. It allows people to give something to do which devotes more time to SRP. Solo things to do are good for people who are introverts OOCly. It allows for a more fluid experience, as let’s be real we can’t always have our characters interact icly. It gives something to do to pass time, especially as a newer player or even an older player.
2. This allows us to bring a sense of realistic gameplay to SRP. We could have stats and attributes that maybe a command would show such as /personal! Maybe also a hobby thing, such as instead of the cooking attribute, there was a cooking skill with gardening and etc, which can be seen from both bloxburg and the sims.

Both ideas I feel would bring more realism to our roleplays.
 
+1 yesyesyse tuff!! also maybe adding to the moods thing, i feel you should be able to choose the mood of your character as YOU are the one roleplaying, but things like hunger / thirst could be toggled for roleplay maybe? also could be turned off or less seen for greenies maybe!! idk tho!!

YES I AGREE LIKE SIMS WHERE IT SHOWS YOU THE CONVO MOOD
 
-1 i apologize my dear friend... but with moods, you'd likely need a place to stay for certain things or a public space for them... and like 80% of srp players are... dare i say... homeless

also this could make people more broke since moods would likely be a need otherwise your character would have repercussions and that could cost money which not a lot of people have that much of (especially given japanese yen, it's not a lot.)

i can see why you disagree with this, yeah thats a very good point to bring up for moods! i can agree with you there that a lot of srp players are homeless [esp some of my characters], but i think i mean it should be toggleable and allows for a more interactive soloRP rather than just afking randomly. i can 100% see where youre coming from because that is a great concern to have, especially when you can run out of yen and not have enough on SRP.

i think it definitely ties into my suggestion of skills, however! like for an example i’m sure you know in bloxburg how you have a gardening skill when you plant things. i think that would be a really fun thing to have and a cheap alternative would be getting seeds for around 250yen give or take and being able to plant them yourself. i think hobby skills would be a great thing to add!

Kinda neutral on it but it's a pretty good idea regardless, so I'd say I'm more so positive leaning? If that makes sense. Definitely a huge +1 for the solo stuff, not too sure on the moods - though maybe if it was toggleable, I'd be totally down!

I'm not sure about moods, because new players may be scared off by them since i assume they'd cost money to care for
but for solo skills, YESSS,,, i'm not entirely sure what these could be, though. but i do like the idea of things to do on your own, maybe little mini games for hobbies like we used to have for fishing!! but like, maybe for things like sewing. you right click a lil fabric basket and get a little mini game similar to sew, and maybe some sort of high score or something.

i feel like there will be lots more to do anyway though once the phone system rework comes out as well as the virtual reality stuff!! but regardless, cant wait for more stuff to do on the server.

I have no opinion on the solo thing, but I am very against moods being added. It would only serve to be a hassle for things that generally already get RPed out by a big portion of the playerbase.

Hobbies; I do think there should be more stuff to do on SRP besides factions, attributes, etc. Yeah, fishing is a thing you can do in game but..... what else is there? There isn't much to do besides SRP events that only last an hour before they are boring or you already done your quota for the day in your faction and the day is just about... running around and waiting for something to happen. Yeah we have the mobile games, but with how often the server crashes I don't think most people are keen on having a chance on losing their inventory while they are playing a mobile game. Yes it will add some plugin stuff, but i dont see why we cant have some of the games from the phone be added to the computer!

Moods; I kinda fuck with the idea on needing to be able to eat, drink, and so on when it comes to the server. It will give the insitive on shops opening more(who have cooking stuff and who sell food/drinks) and it will keep you busy in one way or another to having to stop your RP to be like 'hey guys, i need to grab a drink. want one?' and stuff like that. 'BuT dArK, wE cAn AlReAdY dO tHiS!!' - well yeah, but there isn't a NEED for us to. If there is an actual need for us to eat and drink, that would mean some of the money that is within the server can leave the server(vending machines) and it could give something additional to focus on!!

I will say that I am all for the idea of adding more things to do for solo players, but a major no to the moods

I approve of almost everything in my humble opinion, BUT the whole moods thing ticks me off in the wrong way. I'm severely against the idea of moods as a whole. I have never played Bloxburg, and I do not intend on doing so, but from what you have described, it is overall just… Feeling more like a life simulator, not roleplay… Might just be me. I do much prefer Lune's add on to it, its a better way to handle it!

ooo i didn’t know there was an add on ill definitely have to take a look for it. i can see why you and everyone who agrees is against the mood thing. thats a good way to describe it, a life simulator and not roleplay. thank you for your input :3

For the solo thing, I think the vr plugin that's being worked on would be great for that! However, the moods can be tedious, especially for people who like to spend hours rping a simple interaction or longer interactions. This wouldn't play well with the time difference of the server and actual time, but if you could toggle it, it'd be a cool project, but I feel as though it'd be a bit difficult and too hefty of a plugin?

mainly, the mood thing would NOT work for factions. oh youre a ems individual bound to the lobby but you need to go to the forest to idk clear ur head NAAAA ur depresso espresso. and like this wouldnt work for a lot of factions even crimerp cus wdym im stabbing someone a d then i get so tired i cant do actions. having this toggleable is a viable option however i dont think it would be used as much as people would like and would just take up plugin space and drop srp fps far more than it already is. like some1 else said the money for this would be INSANE and poor lil new greenies would be so confused by this and not have enough funds or knowledge of wha da fuh is happening

solo tasks is new, i get that however fishing, attributes, making money and other things do enough for this. this is a roleplay server, its literally made too talk and be with other people and so should be viewed that way and played that way. i personally dont think that you should add solo stuff unless it embarks social interactions or rp scenarios (fishing you can talk to others, tailoring and stuff involves meeting new people and attributes you can be kinda known as that guy always running or jumping and could mean you meet other people just by being on the server).
 
I think this is a interesting concept and would be a cool addition if we are able to disable/enable it so I am leaning more towards +1.

Believability > Realism

You are to believe the character is hungry, not impose on them that they are hungry. A mere action of /it The character is hungry is more than enough, and it adds freedom to many scenarios rather than a restricting mechanism

Aspiring toward realism only adds hassles and nothing else, rather than simply believing it is real. After all, SRP's motto is imagination with no boundaries, and right there is a rather large wall

lest people want it to be toggleable then sure
 
I can imagine a range of wonderful solo activities that people can start alone and meet new friends while doing them.

- Searching the beach and sewers for trash coins with a metal detector.
- Foraging berries, nuts, mushrooms, and herbs in the woods.
- Catching insects and butterflies by day and fireflies by night and collecting them.

Beyond that... I'd like to mention, Player Retention is important. Most social servers don't die from lack of determined "hardcore" roleplayers, but from boredom and attrition. Solo activities give people a little something to do while waiting for friends and events and reduces drop-off and DOES help servers to stay lively.
The risk of breaking the community apart might exist but only if solo content is MORE REWARDING than social roleplay. Solo tasks should remain light and atmospheric and complementary, and NOT a full program of mini-games that replace RP. It should rather encourage people to spend time in one location together.
