Out-of-Character Information
What is your Minecraft username?:
main: msvzt
alt: Gl1ky [applying]
Do you have Discord?:
Yes, it’s ‘msvzt’.
How old are you? :
19.
What is your time zone?:
EST
Describe your activity on the server:
My activity on the server is relatively high. I have a life outside of the server, but I still give this server a lot of my free time. I’m online at different hours depending on the day, but I always give the server at least 2-3 hours a few times a week. I’ve been a part of the faculty a few times. I’ve been a teacher twice and a librarian once. Each time, I have enjoyed being a part of it all. Currently, I’m on a sports team.
Do you acknowledge that if you are inactive you will be demoted?:
I acknowledge this.
School Employee Role you are applying for?:
Receptionist.
In as much detail as possible, describe the employee role you are applying for:
The job of a receptionist is never done. Responsibilities of a receptionist consist of managing the front desk, answering the questions of the many students of Karakura, and keeping the students in check. Receptionists are the face of the school, in terms of being in the front and welcoming those who enter the front building. Receptionists manage the prizes that students receive for being the best student and classmate they can be.
What experience, in general, do you have in roleplay?:
Roleplay has been a part of my life since I was in middle school. I would roleplay on Instagram (embarrassing…) in multiple communities. The types of roleplay I engaged in would vary. Eventually, I found Roleplay Hub and brought my knowledge to the server. Besides roleplaying, I have always taken an interest in creative writing, which I feel relates to roleplay a lot. I even took a creative writing class in high school. So many skills that I’ve learnt from creative writing have been used in my roleplay and definitely given me an “advantage” over those who have not taken any interest in that type of writing.
Why do you want to join the School Employee faction?:
The School Employee faction is one of the most involved factions in my opinion. With the server being mainly about school roleplay, seeing as the name is literally SchoolRP, the faculty are the ones that help give students a better experience. I’ve tried being a teacher twice and both times I struggled to find the motivation to host classes but still enjoyed the other aspects of being a part of the faculty. Interacting with the students and keeping them safe, assisting and bonding with coworkers, and monitoring detention were some experiences that made my time on the server more enjoyable. I couldn’t keep up with the responsibilities of a teacher, but I’m confident in my abilities to handle the responsibilities of a receptionist.

Situations
/*Do not mention use of FearRP*/
During a work-shift a student starts cursing at you for being pathetic, how does your character react?:
Chikao Kitamura sat at the front desk as his manicured fingers clacked at the keyboard. Two students stood in front of him as they used foul language at one another. “Watch the language,” he said as his eyes remained on the computer screen. As one kid apologized, the other had a snarl on their face and spewed disrespectful language and claims at Chikao. He stared at the student with a look of disamusement. His eyebrow raised as he squinted at the offender. His arms folded across his chest as he leaned back in his seat. “Excuse me?” His tone was stern. The student, whose chest was puffed out just a moment ago, was slouched and avoided eye contact. “Watch that language, or your afternoon will be spent in detention.” His slender finger pointed into the distance, "Get to where you need to be, kid.”
You notice two students are physically fighting in the hallway, – multiple punches have been thrown – how does your character react?:
As Chikao turned the corner, his eyes landed on two bloody kids. The kid who caught his eye first was badly hurt, his upper lip was drenched in blood that had fallen from his possibly broken nose. Without a second thought, Chikao rushed forward and pushed the two apart. He had stood between them and extended his arms out to keep them apart. The kids stared at each other as they panted, the adrenaline from the situation dissipated with every second that passed. Chikao’s eyes narrowed into the two. “What is going on here? Why are you two beating each other to a pulp?” Though, only one had been beaten that badly. Chikao would keep that observation to himself for now. The student with blood on his fists spoke up and explained how the other had talked badly about him and pushed his buttons. Chikao shook his head, and a scowl surfaced. “That is no excuse to fight. Fighting is never the fix, kid.” He took the two of them to the Nurse’s office, but made sure to mention the imminent detention slip that he’d give them as soon as they were treated. Though, he made sure to say one last thing to the kid with the busted nose. “Let’s learn not to run our mouths, yeah? He had no right to hit you just as you had no right to talk bad about him.” With that, he handed the two a detention slip and left them with the nurse.
Another school employee is clearly acting inappropriately, doing something very dangerous on the job, how does your character react?:
From his seat at the front desk, Chikao could hear a familiar voice that came from behind. He turned his head to an empty space and decided to investigate. He couldn’t make out any words, just heard muffled voices on the other side of the door. He opened it to find a teary eyed 8th grader. In front of them, a Newly Qualified Teacher who had not yet noticed his presence. Demeaning words escaped the lips of his coworker, directed at the young kid. Chikao’s eyebrows furrowed as he was quick to intervene. “Hey, why are you talking to that kid like that?” Chikao’s arms crossed over his chest as he towered over the woman. Though, she was not intimidated. Yet. A look of confusion washed across her face as she stared at him. “She had been causing a major disruption during my entire lesson last period. I had to reprimand her,” she said with a strange level of confidence, not knowing the issue with what she had done. Chikao’s expression remained the same, narrowed eyed and stern, as he stared at a woman who should not be his coworker. Though, when he turned to the kid, his face softened and he gave an empathetic smile to the younger. “I apologize for her harsh words. Are you alright?” The kid nodded as they wiped their tears. “Don’t cause any disruptions, alright? Now, go to class or do some homework.” The kid complied and waved as they ran off into the courtyard. Chikao’s head snapped towards the woman. “You can’t talk to the students like that, ma’am. They’re kids and you’re supposed to be their mentor.” The woman scrunched her face up as Chikao spoke. As the next few words came out, her attitude dropped and her face was filled with dread. “I will be letting SLT know.” With that, he returned to his seat at the front desk and began writing an email to the principals.
When in the employee break room, how does your character act?:
He entered the break room moments after the school gates opened. His eyelids were still heavy. He dragged his feet over to the coffee maker where he placed his coffee cup under. With the click of some buttons, the coffee poured out into the cup. He added a small amount of sugar and milk, as he enjoyed his coffee bitter. As his coworkers poured into the room, he leaned against a counter in the mini kitchen and watched them hustle through the room. He threw out a few greetings here and there as the caffeine started to kick in. He walked over to the seats and lowered himself into one with his feet and arms crossed. Multiple sips later, Chikao’s energy was high and he was ready for the work day.
Provide us with at least three detailed /me's of your character whilst on your chosen role:
/me gave a warm smile to the kid in front of him, his eyes wrinkled. He nodded at them as a greeting as he held a pen between his fingers. He flicked it with his thumb every few seconds. His arm was crossed across his chest and tucked under the other. “How can I help you, kid?”
/me clicked his fingers into the keys on his keyboard as he sat at the front desk. His eyes focused on the screen before him, with the occasional glance around the room. He squinted at the many emails he had to respond to and the many forms he had to fill out. Chikao brought his coffee mug to his lips and took a small sip before he returned it to the spot on the desk beside him.
/me brought the back of his pen to his lips. He chewed on it as he sat at the table. His finger tapped on the table as he stared at the stack of papers in front of him. He groaned as he dropped his pen onto the table before he swiped his hand over his face. He pushed his frustration to the side and took his pen to the paper.

Backstory
Born in Keio University Hospital, Chikao Kitamura weighed 7lbs. He was born into the Kitamura family, a small one that had family members rather spread out. The only members that lived in a close vicinity were his parents, his aunt, and now him. His parents only had one child in their lives. Chikao Kitamura.
Years passed, Little Chikao now knew how to walk and babble, with the exception of a few words. He waddled around the small apartment and played alone most of the time. His parents were hard workers, and his aunt would watch him during the day. Though, that’s all she did. Watch. She fed him when it was time to, but never sat with him or played with him. She rarely even spoke to him. That made him all the more excited for his parents to return home after a long day of work. As soon as they’d step foot into the house, he’d run to them the best he could with his little legs. His eyes lit up and a smile took over his chubby, round face, but the smile fell as quickly as it appeared when his parents walked right past him.
His life resumed to be like this as he entered school, but he no longer anticipated their arrival and he no longer needed his aunt around to watch him. He’d come home, hang out alone, and take care of himself. His interaction with his family was down to a minimum. It was rare for him to have a real conversation with anyone in it. Even at school, he kept to himself, being used to the loneliness. There was one kid, though, that always spoke to him. He’d give him the biggest wave and widest smile. Every morning he was there with a friendly ,”Good morning Chikao!” That’s the most they’d interact for the rest of elementary. As for his grades, they stood at a consistent average level. Constant B’s and high C’s.
The average grades carried over into middle school, where a preteen Chikao’s solitude ended. The same kid that would wave to him every morning finally came up to him and they’ve been close since. His name was Takase Kageyama. He was a popular boy, but it never rubbed off on Chikao. He kept to himself when he wasn’t with Taka. Middle school was just as eventful as any other year. Not even Chikao’s height changed much between then and elementary. His grades neither.
High School was a different story though. Chikao Kitamura’s height skyrocketed over the summer before grade 10. He went from 5’7 to 6ft in a short amount of time. Once summer ended and Chikao returned to school, the classmates that hadn’t paid him any mind now snapped their heads towards him every time he passed. The girls that once ignored his existence now had a sudden interest in him. This was something Chikao had never experienced. His whole life was extremely mediocre and he never received so much attention. He didn’t know how much so, but Chikao was an attractive lad. He would never recognize that for himself, he was one of those guys that didn’t know how good he looked. The best kinds of guys, really. Despite the extra attention, he proceeded to keep to himself and continued with his school work. He hung out with Taka more often though. If they weren’t inseparable then, they were now. The B’s and C’s remained on his gradebook, though he didn’t care to try for anything else. Everyone told him to try harder, go for higher grades or you’ll never get a high paying career. He was never interested in a high level career either though. He wanted a stable lifestyle, a simple lifestyle. Something simple and mundane.
That’s what he did. Now in his early twenties, Chikao studied Communications along with some minors. They were all practical options. His parents didn’t care what he did in school, they stopped caring a long time ago. As long as he passed the grade, that’s all that mattered. That applied to college too. As long as he graduated. Though, they didn’t help him pay for any of it. He worked multiple jobs to help pay for it all, but when he finished college at 24 he was in debt still. During college, he met a woman. A gorgeous Japanese woman with jet black hair and square bangs. He fell deeply in love with her, and she did too. Risa Okayama. He would do anything for that woman. He dated her for many years, even when he found his first receptionist position for an office building. When they were 28, he proposed near a waterfall on their favorite hiking trail. She said yes with enthusiasm. They got married with a handful of people there. Her family and Taka were the only ones invited. They lived happily.
Chikao and Risa entered their 30s. His job remained stable and his life happy. Until Risa was driving home one dark night and got into an accident. A car swerved into her on the road. She didn’t make it. Chikao felt like his whole life had fallen apart in the matter of seconds. One moment he had been waiting for his wife to get home, and the next he had gotten a call from the hospital. The man who had never had anyone close to him or cared for him so strongly now lost the most important woman in his life due to someone else’s mistake. After years of coping and learning to live without her, he decided that he had to go. He had to get out of the city that reminded him so much of her. Karakura was the place he chose. He packed up his things and moved with the money he had in his savings account.
When he got to Karakura, he got a small box of an apartment and started job searching. A few positions piqued his mundane interest, but the main one was a receptionist position at Karakura High School and College. He had always liked kids. Maybe it was due to the lack of childhood he had or the lack of interaction. Either way, this was the one he wanted. He submitted his resume and waited for the answer.
Motivation for Joining KHS (Character perspective):
My childhood was extremely dull and lonely. It wasn’t a good one at all. Some kids went through worse, and I acknowledge that. I never had a dream job, but I had a dream life of stability. Joining Karakura High School would give me that stability. It would give me a connection to those kids that may not have it as good as others. Those kids whose days feel like they’re blending together and not amounting up to much. Kids have always been a weak spot for me, I relate to them a lot and hope to give them a better childhood than I did if given the chance. I never considered a job in anything related to childcare or child education, but seeing this position available makes me feel truly connected to it. I want to give this job my all, and if accepted, I will do exactly that.
Why should you be accepted over the other applicants?:
Everyone has their own skillset. Everyone has their own perks. Mine are simple. I’m a dedicated man, a devoted one. I will put my all into every assignment and give every student the needed assistance. Kids entering the building to good, welcoming energy is crucial. I know I can give the students of Karakura a great start to their day and be there for whatever they need. I know I can connect with the students and staff members better than some others may be able to. I know I can adapt to my surroundings and come out on top better than the other applicants. I hope you make the right choice in the end, whoever that may be.
