I reside in the PST (GMT-7 / GMT-8) timezone. I also currently live in the United States.

Describe your activity:
I first joined SchoolRP back in 2020. I was an active albeit slight unknown server member at this time. I would log daily for several hours along with faction work. I left the server in 2021 due to attending University. Since returning in March of 2025, I have re-ignited my passion for the community. There is little days I have not at least checked in over the past 9 or so months.

Overall, I consider myself quite an active member of the SRP community. I am often on daily for at least 5-6 hours, unless I am at my IRL job. While online I do my best to actively engage with the player base that is around me. Rarely am I sitting AFK or aimlessly wandering. I find it important to discover the different sectors available from SchoolRP. As such, I have spread my activity over several developed characters & experience in factions. Along side this I participate actively in events hosted by the server. With the occupation of Reporter I find it useful to be a primary source from attending such things.

Below is a timetable of my current schedule in the PST timezone. While it is subject to change by 1-2 hours it is primarily stationary.

What is your motivation to apply for reporter?:
My motivation to apply for reporter began shortly after my return to SchoolRP in 2025. Before re-joining I first became acquainted with the forums, including past reports. In truth I spent several hours combing through each - ingesting the information provided. Beyond my longstanding passion of writing, I fell in love with the overall creativity provided. Despite being a beginner in Graphic Design, it is a field of art I have yearned to explore further. Evermore I understood I required time & experience to prepare myself to apply.

In early April of 2025 I joined the Journalism club. In truth, this was partially to garner a feel of creating reports in SchoolRP fashion. There have been struggles - primarily due to limited topics for coverage. Yet after discussions with current & past reporters, I understand this will not overly be an issue inside the faction. My interest persisted as I observed from afar. Reporter quickly turned into an end-goal faction of mine - a dream I insisted I would achieve. This coupled with several detailed conversations with reporters of what such an occupation details.

As I have taken tours of several corners of the server, I believe I am ready to attempt a fresh start. If I am accepted I am prepared to dedicate my time evenly between both reporter and my current faction. I have been testing my ability to do so with positive results. Alongside monthly quota - I am already aware of a single report each month. While journalism & reporter are two very different groups, it was still an honorable help in preparing myself for a report each month.

Do you have any experience with writing? What is your relationship with writing?:
On the topic of writing, I believe myself to be quite experienced. My childhood dream has remained one day becoming an author. As such I have spent a majority of my life with a pencil or pen in my hand. In elementary school I became known as 'binder girl' due to carrying a three-ringed red binder each day. This is where my first stories began - endless pages of child drabbles any time I could sit. As I grew older this advanced into proper written word, such as poems which I have been published for.

While I do not have any current stable topics, there is a plethora of past prompts in the form of chapters. One such I have ideas of reworking for a potential publication. Even as these are quite different from what reporters write - I believe it beneficial to add on this application. I have also become a collaborative author with a select group of close friends who wish to publish some day.

Throughout the past decade I have participated in a variety of long-form written roleplay. This began on forum based sites alongside fanfiction stories. It was through these experiences I truly believe I grew expendably in my ability to write. As time went on, I began to run large-scale discord servers for the purpose of writing and roleplay stories. My style can best be described as full-literature. This includes writing around five to six detailed paragraphs for a response. Even if this is roleplay at the end of the day, I retain pride in my work.

Since rejoining SchoolRP this year I have continued improvements. I have begun to take moments from my characters stories to convert into pieces of scripture. One shots, lore backgrounds, and retelling of what occurs on the server. I could assume that I am writing at least two or three pages each day. I find it important to continue practice as well as expanding my style & tone of word. A small journal never leaves my side in case I stumble upon inspiration at a random moment.

Are you aware of - and will follow - the set of rules provided to you?:
I am aware and prepared to follow any set rules given to me. In all of my time on SchoolRP, I have done the best of my ability to do such. This extends past my factions to everyday interactions on the server. I do not see this shifting in any sense upon acceptance into reporter.

Why should we accept you over others?:
Upon acceptance, I believe I will provide an activity boost alongside a partial revival. I currently am already often logging daily hours of play sessions. As a part of the faction this time will be spent provided to reporters. I would also consider myself highly motivated for the types of work this faction focuses on. Writing reports alongside promoting interactivity with other groups, such as Journalism, in select capacities.

I have also grown a relationship with several past and present reporters. While it began as research for the faction, it blossomed into overall appreciation. While often unseen your work is not unappreciated. News is how a community may stay informed - a facet not to be ignored. I aim to stay in the faction as long as possible rather than simply going for a tag, or general experience. Being able to assist in shaping the future of reporters alongside some day climbing the ladder excites me.

While I understand my workload may be off-putting I am committed to making any change necessary upon approval. As stated several times previously, this is one of my two dream factions to participate in. There is little that I believe will stop this incentive of mine. If I am denied it simply means I must improve myself to be given another chance.

Do you understand you have to stay completely neutral with all reports? (Your report can't have any OOC or IC bias towards a specific group.)
As a person it is important for me not to hold biases, whether that be as my characters or beyond logging off for the day. Even in my everyday life I often check myself for bias towards groups and activities themselves. If I do realize it is an issue I take steps to ask myself why - what can I improve to avoid this? It is rare this occurs though no one is perfect.

This is not limited to my offline life. I often run through similar checklists while active on the server alongside roleplaying. Any writing I produce will maintain a neutral stance no matter my personal standing. In case of a situation where this is not the truth, I will accept consequences & punishment for doing so.

Do you trust that you will be able to stay active and complete the monthly quota?:
I do believe I have the ability to complete monthly quota inside the reporter faction. I have already mentally prepared myself & experienced writing a report each month. I am also aware of other duties I may be given such as operating the front desk or making broadcasts for the city. As there are multiple avenues for quota there is little situations I imagine I will fall behind the minimum provided.

Summarise what you imagine work as a reporter is:
On the surface, reporter's work primarily lies in reports, as their name suggest. Though a faction cannot sustain on one aspect alone. They are indeed the feet on the ground to each gathering or disaster that befalls Karakura. Reporters also find themselves assisting in as stated previously broadcasts. These include often current events alongside a song of their choice. Reports vary in posting between regular Journalism, unknown occults of the Daily Paranoia or the more activity-Whizfeed. I believe there will also be discussions as well as meetings provided either over discord, in-game, or both together.

Rustling could be heard from the chair. A male figure adjusted his glasses, a rumbling tone resounding as he spoke, "My name? Why, it's Cosmin Nerugi Knight. Though to shorten it, Cosmin N. Knight also works."

A slight chuckle. A familiar glint crossed Cosmin's features, flexing a few of his rings. "For a name I simply go by Cosmin. My mother picked it perfectly for me." - "As for titles.. I normally prefer Doctor. I have the papers to prove it. Though for simplicities sake.. Mister is fine."

"My age?" Panic flashed across the poor man's face. A few checks for wrinkles - none. Gray hairs? Was it obvious? "Well. While I may not look it.. I have just entered my third decade of age, as of Halloween." Thirty. How horrendous.

Past job/work experience:
Regret. Nostalgia. Absentness. Hands curled around the cane at his side before speaking. "Previous work, hm? I was a student teacher for a time, in China." Tap. Tap. Nerves? "While in China, I also worked as a Doctor. When the hospital.. shut down-" Don't check that. "I moved to Karakura for a time. Though my sister has since taken my place there. I have participated in a few journalist articles as well as medical newspapers however."

Degree/qualifications:
"As stated previously, I was a Doctor in China. To do so I received a Bachelors in Biology as well as another Bachelor's in History at Hebei University. This was completed after four years of studies. Though I did minor in Journalism." That familiar smug expression returned. It seemed Knight was proud of his past, at least the academic parts of it. "I transferred to Hebei Medical University to specialize in Pediatrics for a Masters and their PHD program. While there I was a part of the newspaper for the university. Along with several articles published by the university and local hospitals that I provided work for.." On and on the man went. By the time he finished, nearly fifteen minutes had passed. Did he mention his pride?

Speaking of Pride! Glitter formed as Cosmin leaned forward. "I was born in Handan, North China. Though my mother was from Mongolia and raised me there for several years. I consider myself Mongolian and Chinese." Though that was not all. Bitter venom crossed his gaze, dripping into each word. "Though I guess.. I am also Romanian. My.. Father. Is from there, and I lived in Cluj-Napoca for around six years. I speak Romanian too."

How would you describe yourself in under 150 words?:
The male tapped his cane against the floor as he pondered the question. Describe himself? Where should he begin? "I am a man of pride and justice. Throughout my life I have made an effort to fight for those who could not do so themselves. Whether that be in the medical field, a classroom, or in written word. Beyond the workforce, I consider myself a family man over all. There is no ledge I would not climb nor death I would run from if it meant protecting my loved ones." Cosmin kissed the back of his teeth as a memory passed his mind's eye.

"Though all this to say, I am not reckless. Truth is worthy of sacrifice - within limitations. I abide by a moral code that includes minimal exceptions. One of which is uncovering lies and hidden corruptions. If you were to inquire with my previous employer.." The male rambled off. He was nearing the end of his word count, or so he thought. Better to leave it there either way..

What are you interested in writing about? How will you achieve this, and would you consider going out of your comfort zone?:
"Why am I interested in writing? Better question. How could one not be interested?" There was a light in his eyes. Leaning forward, hands splaying across the journal he always carried. "Written word is one of the single greatest inventions humanity has received. My style often pertains to current events. What the public deserves to know, what a city such as Karakura tries to keep hidden away." Bitter venom dripped. Cosmin licked his lips, pushing his glasses further upwards. "Nevertheless, it is imperative to step outside of the boxes we place ourselves in. My comfort zone is not as tiny to restrict me. If there is news to report, you can expect me first on the scene. No matter the consequences nor outcomes."

What are your expectations for the job?:
Restlessness picked up in his behaviors. Fingers tapping, eyes fluttering. How long had this interview been going on for? "I believe my expectations are simple. I will be expected to write at least one piece a month, basic for reporters. As well as performing broadcasts for citizens." He checked his watch with a sigh. Still here.. "There is also of course what you may call desk duty. Answering questions, being the face of the station.. As well as being compensated for my time. I may be passionate though that does not pay rent or childcare."

"Criminal.. Record. What an.. interesting question." Deep cracks of an attempted laugh pushed between clenches canines. Umber eyes glanced up, hands swallowing into fists. "The answer is no. I have never been found guilty in a trial over a crime." Not yet. He had escaped with clean hands back to Karakura. Whether it caught up to him again.. time would tell.

C.N. Knight: "Good evening, Dr. Tradat. I must thank you again for allowing me this conference."

Doctor Cel Tradat: "Ah, uh, why- of course! I'm just grateful to help! That is my entire job ahah.."

C.N. Knight: "Yes. Well. As you're aware we're getting closer to the cold season. As such I find myself curious. What exactly is the most common ailment you find in your lobby?"

Doctor Cel Tradat: "The most common? Hm.. it really does depend, I'd say! I mean, besides your regular broken legs or stab wounds.."

[!] There is a small pause as the Doctor ponders her answer. [!]

Doctor Cel Tradat: "I have noticed an uptick in flu diagnoses lately! It is that time of year.. and they continue to pick up. Even I've begun to wear masks while working!"

C.N. Knight: "Influenza. Common Colds. Both signs that winter is on the horizon. While many see as inevitable, I'm sure there are options to protect ourselves. What would you find yourself recommending to a potential patient?"

Doctor Cel Tradat: "Well as stated earlier, masks go a long way! I also wash my hands with sanitizer often." - "If you see someone you believe may be sick, try to keep distance as well!"

C.N. Knight: "Both strategies with proven results. Though in the case these options fail, what are our next steps? Prior to visiting you, of course."

Doctor Cel Tradat: "If someone's sick? I'd always say come see us! But- the advice stays the same. Resting at home as to not infect those around you. Fluids are important, as is keeping an eye on your temperature."

[!] Crackles from a deep-woven laugh, a male speaks. [!]

C.N. Knight: "Temperature. Let's pivot towards that. Now that our outside temperatures are dropping.. the environment is changing. Do you believe it's easier or perhaps more difficult to sustain injuries during this time of year?"

Doctor Cel Tradat: "That is a complex question! I believe it depends on your own hobbies. Though, with the rain picking up we are having more thunderstorms.. Those are quite dangerous!"

C.N. Knight: "Okay. Thunderstorms. Of course, we cannot control nature. In the case a listener is unlucky enough to be struck" - "Or, a witness to a bypasser being hit. How do we respond? How do we save a life?"

[!] Thunder struck outside, cutting the recording momentarily. [!]

Doctor Cel Tradat: "Oh goodness. If anyone is struck they'll most likely be in some sort of cardiac event. You should call one-one-zero while checking for a pulse. If they aren't breathing, start CPR! There's a good song you can use from this new movie..-"

C.N. Knight: "CPR. A trait useful for most, if not all to know. Though obviously the professionals will be better equipped once you arrive. Before we move on from the subject of weather accidents, I'd like to ask your thoughts on prevention. I've heard of mighty storms in the island's past."

Doctor Cel Tradat: "Yes! Though rare, we do get floods from storms and hurricanes. VERY RARE!" - "I say always take a high ground! If you see it's raining, or you hear thunder, stay inside. Also avoid the windows. It may be pretty to look, before you get pulled out!.."

C.N. Knight: "We've focused quite a bit on the physical aspects of winter. What about our mental health? Is it true that it often becomes worse during the cold?"

Doctor Cel Tradat: "I am sadly not a psychiatrist, therefore I can not fully answer this question. Though from personal experience.. I say so. We become a bit.. isolated! During the last few months of the year. Especially when you're sick or hurt!"

C.N. Knight: "Within your scope of expertise, how can we take care of our mental health? Many see the sun and outdoors as natural medicine. What do we do when that's taken away?"

Doctor Cel Tradat: "Well.. personally? I love hobbies. Even if it's too cold to go to the beach, it gives an excuse to bake at home! Or if I can't see my friends in person, or more likely I'm on shift, video call is a great option. Making yourself available is so important."

C.N. Knight: "What of those that isolate themselves? How can we provide or assist those around us struggling?"

Doctor Cel Tradat: "That's.. tough. Again, not a psychiatrist. I say merely making sure you give a hand. Even just saying, I'm here to listen or talk!.. Can mean a lot. Personally I enjoy being invited, even if I can't go. Um.. don't be strangers. We all need someone this time of year!"

[!] A bit of small talk between the two, another knock of thunder. A countdown alarm ticking off. [!]

C.N. Knight: "We've touched on several topics. To bring us towards a close I'll ask you this personally Doctor Tradat." - "If there was one piece of advice you could give all year, not just winter, what would it be?"

Doctor Cel Tradat: "Ah- Keep in touch with one another! As well as don't feel too shy for a check-up. Even if you have a small cough or a little dry eye - you never know." - "Listen to your gut, stay safe, and remember-"
