Each day I do my best to log at least 6 consecutive hours. When I log onto the server, I make sure I am actively roleplaying and participating in the community. I rarely find myself remaining stationary.

fayelyte: [Teacher] [UT] Hanami Kurosawa

What experiences do you have with roleplay?:
My experience with roleplay extends across several platforms over the past 13 years. While I started on games such as Roblox, I quickly moved to forum-based communities. I have hosted several large discord-based servers for the purpose of roleplay in the past. While a majority of my time has been spent on websites I have also found a love for Minecraft roleplay. The leading cause of this has been SchoolRP. Since my first discovery of it in 2020, I have become highly attached to the style it provides.
Currently on SRP I am involved with several corners of roleplay. I began focusing on the Journalism club during my first month of my return, which re-introduced my passion for written word. Shortly after I began to climb the ranks to leadership in the gang Man'en. While I was never in crime or gangs much during my first years on the server I have found an appreciation for it. Learning to work as a team as well as assisting events & tense situations has been highly beneficial.
Upon my previous EMS rejection I realized I did indeed need more faction experience. I was encouraged to apply for teacher & got accepted. Since becoming faculty I have garnered knowledge as well as connections I could not have imagined. I became grateful for being denied as it gave me purpose to explore more corners of the server. Being a teacher on SRP has forced me to become a quick thinker for problems and solutions. It has also shown me what being in a faction is like now compared to earlier years. While it was an adjustment, it has been a welcome one. The past two months as a teacher have brought me to explore new outlets of roleplay and character study.
I have also found myself involved in JockRP for the past month and a half. I began on the high-school baseball team before moving to swim. Since joining the team I have remained active on my character daily. I have also pushed myself to re-develop my roleplay style in response, specifically my detailrp. Swim team has given me a place for constructive criticism to my writing while also opening friendships. Balancing rivalries with productive stories is what a majority of my focus resides on. I have done my best to involve myself with all corners of sports members to broaden my experiences. I truly have found this to be one of my favorite sections of the SchoolRP server.
Though less directly involved, I am also currently a member of 3 school clubs. I enjoy the work it gives me even while I am not directly on the minecraft server itself. I am also privileged to be a co-lead for my current family Kurosawa. I have helped plan events for them as well as detailed lore to expand their stories. My characters have been employed by a few different stores on the server the past few months as well.
What is your motivation for applying?
My motivation for applying ranges across several reasons. These range from general interest in medicine to a desire to explore another faction. I will go into each of these reasonings in detail.
The first as well as most major motivation is the aspect of hospital roleplay itself. Since a young age I found myself fascinated by the field of medicine. My dream job was to become a psychiatrist or nurse aid, perhaps opening my own practice as a psych. However due to my own IRL disabilities this is not currently plausible. I spent a majority of my high school & limited college years focused on this career plan. While I can no longer pursue it in the way I envisioned, I have found ways to continue my work. I have continued to research on my own time as it's a fascinating subject in itself. Being part of the EMS faction would give me an outlet for what I've learned so far. This would also give me a place to discuss with like-minded people in a community I have already grown to care for greatly.
Beyond IRL interests, my motivation can also be attributed to the faction itself. While I was not part of EMS long before my hiatus it left an impact on me. Even as I left SRP for school, I remembered those I met during my Doctor and Psychiatrist days. Out of all the areas of the server I often find myself brought back to EMS. The amount of effort that must be gone through in order to properly roleplay out their scenarios is immense. They are expected to deal with a variety of situations that range from simple to complex injuries or violence. Each time I find myself at the hospital I am genuinely taken aback by the effort of roleplay given. As someone who is an enthusiast in writing & detail roleplaying, I have gained a vast respect for the faction. It has become a goal of mine on the server the past near 3 months to build my experience in order to have a chance at this incredible faction.
A smaller yet still important motivation is my availability. Due to my IRL work schedule & disabilities, I am stuck at home more often than not. This allows me to log on during hours that others may find themselves unavailable. There have been several instances in my own roleplays where a doctor would have been required however none were online. SkipRP is a valuable tool that is needed, however I believe I could assist in reducing the amount it's needed. If accepted I plan to make it a priority to assist in keeping at least one EMS online at any time. Whether it be for a prescription or something more involved as a sharps wound, I would tend to them to the best of my abilities. I pride myself in the ability to detail my responses no matter the time or place of day.
Overall, I am interested in the faction itself for the roleplay it provides along with the opportunities that could arise. The difference of events that occur inside the hospital verses other parts of the server are compelling in their own right to apply. I believe re-joining the hospital is a step in the right direction for my future on the SRP server itself.
Which role are you applying for?
I am currently applying for the role of Doctor at this time.

What knowledge do you have of the roles within the Hospital Faction?
While a majority of my knowledge is from years past, I have done my best to update my information to current day. Any inaccuracies are unintentional & will be rectified if accepted through training:
Divisions:
--
Doctor:
Doctors are the main physicians that can be found within the Hospital. They are tasked with treating patients injuries as well as illnesses. This can range from concussions to broken bones or stab wounds. They are well versed in several ways of practice. When on call, they can be expected to perform duties such as MRI, X-Rays, CPR, Surgeries, or General Check-Ups, or Desk Work. They are in charge of diagnosing & treating any physical injuries one may sustain. Each time a patient's course is finished they are required to log the treatment in a medical log. Doctors are also able to grant prescriptions either in response to treatment or through the pharmacy. Each of these also require a prescription log to be filled out.
Paramedic:
Paramedic's, while falling under the Doctor definition, are sub-classed as a specialty. They perform the same duties as the Doctor role with a few added responsibilities. Paramedic's are those who respond on-foot to calls made to 110 in Karakura. If a potential patient cannot arrive to the hospital themselves it is up to a Paramedic to retrieve them. They are able to either treat at-scene or transport back to EMS. Paramedic's are also given an ambulance vehicle in order to reduce time taken to the injury site. It takes experience in the faction in order to be granted this role. Paramedic's are also often expected to have a high speed attribute in order to efficiently respond to 110 calls.
Psychiatrist:
Psychiatrist's are those responsible primarily for mental injuries and behavioral problems. While they are allowed to start IV's and in-take patients with physical injuries, they can not do much past that. Their role is to offer therapies to residents of Karakura. Often this takes shape in talk therapy, discussing what is bothering them while offering solutions. This division is also in charge of diagnosing disorders of the mind. This is done most often through multiple sessions with a patient to find the root of an issue. They are also responsible for deciding if a citizen is a danger to those around them. In case of potential harm, they will keep the patient for mental observation. This is one of the most important divisions in Karakura itself due to the high density of mental health crisis that is seen in characters on the server. Previously, they would also be called to potential crisis events however I believe this has since been removed from my time as Psychiatrist.
Roles Hierarchy:
--
Hospital Director:
The director is the head of the entire faction. It is their responsibility to make sure the hospital itself is running in a cohesive manner. They look after quota, help decide who is accepted or denied, as well as trainings. Overall they are the person who oversees the faction as a whole. If an issue arises that requires a staff-view this is the person in charge.
Clinical Lead:
This role oversees their specific department (Doctor, Paramedic, or Psychiatrist) under the director. They are in charge of making sure their departments are functioning and taking care of any issues that arrive. They assist in quota, trainings, and deciding on applications for their specialty. They have climbed the ranks in order to gain the experience to accept such a rank. If there are any questions or issues this would be your point of contact before going higher up the chain.
Clinical Supervisor:
The supervisor is the role between the regular members of a department and the lead itself. They are there to assist the lead with any inquires they may have. I believe they also will step-in if the lead itself is unavailable at a time. This is a HU role and acts as such. If there is any questions or issues they can be answered by the supervisor. They are also able to take concerns up to the lead or plan for the department with them.
Attendings:
Attendings are those who have fully completed their initial training in their roles, and have gained the necessary experience to graduate from resident. This means they have most likely been in the faction for a few months with completed quota. They have proven themselves to be able to operate alone without constant supervision. They are also able to look after trainings for newer additions to the faction. This is the highest role that is able to be obtained before becoming a HU.
Residents:
Resident is the first rank that is bestowed upon an EMS worker after passing the initial training period and exam. They are able to treat patients under observation from an attending or higher. They are primarily there to learn through experience in order to advance to senior resident and then attending. Resident's are not able to work completely on their own at this stage.
Trainees:
This is the role given to those just accepted into the faction. They are fresh faces, just starting their journey as EMS. They are expected to attend at least 2 weeks of training in order to fully learn their place in the hospital. At the end of the training period they will take an exam in order to determine if they stay in the faction. Trainee's are not in any way able to operate on patients until they have finished all steps of training. Some may not make it past trainee if they are not able to finish training or pass their exam. It is not a guarantee you are promoted from trainee into resident.
Do you acknowledge that if training is held whilst you are online, you are expected to attend or you will be punished?
Yes, I do acknowledge that if training is held I am expected to attend. The only reasons I find I would not be online is rarely for an unexpected IRL shift or due to a team practice. Otherwise I fully plan to arrive to any sessions of training that are assigned to me.

❝It all began when my mother Möngömaa met my father Romeo.. doomed from the start.❞
Nergui Cosmin was born on the 31st of October, 1998 at 10:31am. His birth occurred at Handan No.1 Hospital in Handan, North China. He was surrounded by only his mother Möngömaa. His father, Romeo, had already seemed to leave the picture. A vacation in China that had gained unexpected consequences. A life Romeo was not ready to start. Even so, his mother named him after his father's heritage in Romania. A name that meant order and beautiful. Such as the beautiful order she hoped he would bring to her own life.
❝We were happy. We didn't have much, but we had each other. That was all I believed I needed.❞
The first 12 years of his life were just that, beautiful and full of order. Despite his mom being young when she had him she did everything for her son. She made time between her multiple jobs to attend any school event or sports team he had. Cosmin returned this favor in stepping up as a male-figure from a young age. He would do any under the table job he could to support his mother. They were a team. He decided he would some day become a doctor, so she would never worry of funds. So he could look after her sicknesses and cure the ailments that hurt his dear Möngömaa. The one that had left her own family in order to give Cosmin the best life possible.
❝One day, there was order. The next, she was gone. It was as if I blinked and the wind took her from me.❞
Cancer. That was what the doctors had told Cosmin. His mother had hid it from him for years, focused on his own health and duties. Despite all his efforts he could not bring the order she promised herself. What 12 year old could? He blamed the doctors, the hospitals, the world. How could they not save her? The brightest light China had ever been blessed enough to receive. The funeral cemented his anger as well as deep resentment towards the system. He would become the best damn doctor China and the world had ever seen. He'd make sure no one else would waste away the way his mother had. He would be the one to save everyone, even if it was a child's naive dream.
❝A child was somehow more of a man than he was. Pathetic.❞
Romeo was quite literally forced to inherit Cosmin. He was on the birth certificate, a living relative. The secret he had ran from for so long finally caught up to him. The day Cosmin arrived on his steps in Cluj-Napoca, Romania started a nightmare in Romeo's eyes. Cosmin was 13, old enough to care for himself. So that was how life became. Romeo paid for his son to have the best tutors outside school and kept him dressed. He had a reputation to uphold of course. Though behind closed doors he would rather have nothing to do with the boy. Cosmin threw himself into his studies. He didn't see the education as pity rather an opportunity to return to his true home. Hard work paid off as he graduated a year early at 17 at the top of his class. A testament to his determination of a dream kept since childhood.
❝Return to form. Return to home. That was my mission.❞
The moment he graduated, Cosmin made his return to China. Romeo didn't stop him nor protest. In fact, he paid for the flights and a hefty sum for his son to start medical school. In Romeo's eyes he had fulfilled his duties. Neither of them would need to contact the other moving forward. Cosmin had already been accepted to Hebei University in his birth province. There he threw himself into studying once again, focused on his Biology degree while volunteering at local clinics. Upon graduation he immediately applied into a masters program at a prestige medical university. If there was one fact of Cosmin, it was his determination. Each test was a step closer to his true mission - system reform.
❝I was the best. I had to be the best. I would be the best.❞
By the age of 24, Nergui Cosmin had begun to make a name for himself. He finished both his degrees near the top of his university graduating classes. He had spent hours volunteering at the universities' clinics and local hospitals. With a desire to focus on pediatrics and OBGYN, thanks to his upbringing with his single mother, he began as a resident at a children's hospital. The usual chilling and distant man could somehow bring even the saddest child to a smile. It truly did seem as if another side of him was brought out in his work. Despite the selfish reasons of his career, it was in his nature. A healer. A bringer of beautiful order.
❝Flames.. burning, smoke. I can still taste the ash.❞
Tragedy struck July 25th, 2024. A fire. Entire wing of the hospital was taken under, seemingly an accident.. but upon further investigation-
❝We're done here. You know all you need.❞

What is your character’s medical speciality? Why did they choose this focus?
❝I chose my specialty in Pediatrics early in med school. I knew what it was like to be a scared, sickly child. The least I could do was give back the way I wished I could all those years ago. Children.. are the future. They deserve to be treated as such.❞
❝While I may not be as versed in OBGYN work, I did dual-specialize once I began my masters. Being raised by a single mother I was told stories of how she was let down in my birth. How she was looked down upon, no advocate in the hospital room. I couldn't let another go through that. I understand I come off as cold - yet women and children are my warmth. If there is anything I do right in this life, I want it to be by them.❞
Does your character have any work experience in medical positions?
❝During my time at Hebei Medical University, I volunteered at the school's clinics often. I also interned at Beijing Family Hospital for a summer between my Bachelors and Masters program. After graduation, I accepted a spot in the residency program at Hebei Women & Children Health-Care Hospital. During this time I assisted in both pediatrics as well as began learning of OBGYN practices. Due to.. circumstances, my stay in the program ended after 2 years. I decided to move to Karakura soon after.❞

Describe your character; how do they look, what makes them unique? How would they be perceived by others?
Nergui Cosmin could best be described as a man of status and shadows. He stood at 6'2", slight tanned skin marked with scars both emotional and physical. His lithe build was supported by his impeccable posture. Brown eyes spoke of demons not many could understand. Dark hair would fall towards his shoulders in a messy fashion. On purpose of course, everything the man did had a reason. His wardrobe would only consist of the finest tailoring he could obtain. Each piece of his person was carefully stitched together in order to maintain his facade of perfection. The order his name sake gave him.
For those either blessed or cursed enough to cross paths with Nergui Cosmin would find themselves drawn in by his gaze. He gave an air of importance. Arrogance, perhaps. As if he always knew more than you did. He did of course. Though if one stayed long enough to push past this initial exterior they would find a man of pride. His smile, albeit rare, could light up entire buildings. The laugh that echoed halls in a deep joyful tone. Perhaps it was mostly a protective ruse to keep his heart unbroken yet again. Those he called friends would always have Cosmin by their side. He truly cares about those close to him, and would do anything to keep them happy as well as content.
[!] Skin is currently being tailored and will be added once finished. [!]
How does your character act around the hospital?
At work, Cosmin would appear the same as off-shift. An air of focus would follow him. He was not one to simply stand around aimlessly. There is always something to be done, especially in a hospital, and Cosmin lives by that. Most often you will find him going through medical logs to double check their authenticity. If there is free time he would most likely converse with his coworkers. Even if he comes off initially as distant, he still finds it important to keep relations in a good light.
During his trainee days he would spend extra time focused on review and study. There does tend to be downtime with no patients, which creates a perfect pocket of time for his education. Cosmin is the type to spend hours copying his notes from one book to another in order to help memorize via writing. He would also do his best to ask as many questions as needed. There is no wrong questions in the medical field, as it is majority a group effort in order to find the best treatments.
If there were patients in the waiting room he would first ask to separate those with injuries from those visiting or supporting. He would then check what each injury was in terms of severity. Depending on the answers, he would inform the proper channels before taking them back to the curtained rooms. Cosmin understands first hand how chaotic a hospital environment can become which makes routine a priority for him.
Does your character function better on their own or with others?
At first glance Nerugi Cosmin would appear a loner. In many ways, he is. His first response is often to deal with a situation by himself. He believes he has the experience and knowledge to rival most. However this was more so a fact when he was in his home country of China. Upon arriving in Karakura, Cosmin would take a step back. He has already had to re-evaluate his methods of practice for a new country. While difficult he is learning to work as a combined unit rather than an individual.
This isn't to say he has always been himself or the highway. During his residency program, he lead other residents in a small group. They were his most trusted confidents at the time. Each time a patient came in he would call the group to confer opinions. Of course he had his own thoughts and he kept an open mind, for the most part. Cosmin has leaned on this experience to prepare himself to work in the Karakura Hospital.
The truth of Cosmin is he craves connections. He does wish deep down to become a part of something bigger. His dream still remains to change the medical system itself, rooting for the underdogs often left unheard. The only true way to achieve this is leaning on those around him. His childhood has scarred him from easy trust however once it is gained, it is there for life. If he is accepted into a position he will work to open himself to those around him and fit into the team he so desperately dreams of.
