What is your motivation for applying?:

I'm interested in the concept of being part of a police force on a server, and the idea of actually having the chance to rise through the ranks is also very appealing.

Do you understand Japanese Laws and Basic Conduct?

I understand it to some extent, and would rate my knowledge as a 7/10. The only issue that I myself can see is that I have trouble deciding whether or not something should be considered a broken law and should be punished (such as something that may or may not be a broken law or chargeable offense).

What knowledge do you have of Police Work?

I have a pretty good understanding, I know that any given role has certain tasks, and that higher roles have greater responsibilities. Basically the further up the ranks you are, the more things you have to be accountable for.

Why is Police important to SchoolRP?

I believe that in any roleplay server, regardless of genre, that some sort of law enforcement should be present. To me this is imperative because without a police force, players have little to any concern for the repercussions of their actions. What I mean by this is that if a game were to not have any police or enforcement-kind-of-unit in it, players would act more recklessly than they would if there was, which can overall make the server or game a lot less enjoyable.

Do you acknowledge that you're subject to being demoted if accepted at any given time?

Yes.

Do you acknowledge that applying for this role, you are agreeing to be 100% dedicated to the Police Officer role?

Yes.

Do you acknowledge that if training is held whilst you are online, you are authorised to attend or you will be punished?

Yes.

Do you acknowledge that you’re subject to IC harassment, and you are NOT to take things OOCly when dealing with training & situations?

I have a lot of GangRP in my past, so this won't be an issue.

CHARACTER KNOWLEDGE

Describe your character; how they look, what makes them unique?

Shinji Takei is a stern looking male in his late thirties. When questioned about his personality or demeanor, most would say that he is very strict as to what he is and isn't okay with. He is also known to follow a code similar to that of bushido, and can be seen frequently visiting the monastery to offer things to the Kami.

What they're like on and off the job?

Off the job Shinji is known to spend most of his time at his house or at the Shrine, offering an assortment of things to the Kami. While on the job, Shinji's past struggles as well as hopes to solve them are shown in his work. He displays himself as a courageous person with little to no hesitation to do what must be done. He rarely engages in personal conversations, and prefers that while on the job his only focus is on doing it right, but he is still able to serve as a chit-chat buddy and is able to be responsive or descriptive if need be.

Outlook on their co-workers? Plans for the future?

He views his co-workers with envy and to some extent, jealousy. He wonders what hardships they have endured to get to where they are now, and when reflecting on some of them, he hopes that in several years he may find his peace, just as they did. Ideally, Shinji would like to be able to rise through the ranks and earn his respect, even if during the process he must come out of his comfort zone.

BACKSTORY
(Make sure this biography/lore has 100+ words.)

Shinji Takei is a thirty-six year old male that has spent his time growing up in Karakura, Japan. Throughout his life his family has taught him several elements to leading a good life, and Shinji growing up did his best to retain these lessons. When Shinji was a teenager his brother had died in a gang related incident, and it was during this time that his good teachings had left him. For the first time, his good morals and sense of respect for others was abolished, since, they had been the ones to take his brother from him, and the wounds if dealt to his soul had made him uninterested in treating anyone else with decency because of it. This was worsened when Shinji's pleas to the police force weren't able to bring forth any sort of justice, as the police force was unable to find a suspect that had left Shinji without a brother. Between his feelings of being betrayed, and the thought that the police weren't going to be able to help him, he transformed into the thing he had despised, and began roaming the streets as a gang member. From his eyes, he was searching for the person or group who had killed his brother, but in reality, he was just losing his sense of self. By the time Shinji was twenty he had become more involved with gang related activities, and failed to notice that he had drifted from his original goal of attaining revenge. Now, Shinji was simply just another gang member doing horrendous crimes for insignificant reasons. It was also in his twenties when he had realized his girlfriend had been pregnant with his baby, which shifted his perception. Now, he feared that his ties to gangs would put his daughter at danger, but he also feared that without being in the gang he was in at the time that he would be left without protection. So now, even if he had wanted to leave a crime-filled life he wasn't able to. So, Shinji continued his gang life, going through the years as he watched and prevented his daughter from going down the same path as he did, and, it had worked. Shinji's daughter had the same morals as he did when he was a little kid, and for him, if gave him a sense of relief. He still wished that he was able to have avoided the crime life, but he believed that it made sense why he was able to teach her valuable lessons while not being able to follow them himself, since, in his mind the coach never actually did play. Shinji began spending more and more of his time with his daughter, encouraging her to be her best self while also being there to support her while she did it, even if the members of the gang he was in told him he was "becoming soft" because of it. He didn't think much of it at the time, since, they were still protecting him, and more importantly, his daughter. This sense of safety revealed itself to be rather thin, as when Shinji was thirty-six he was searched and arrested for two counts of weaponry. It was a dumb mistake on his part, but one that he could live with. He spent nearly a month in jail before being bailed out, and during that time it wasn't the other inmates that scared him, it was the lack of communication between him and his daughter. Not once during his time in jail had he seen or heard from his daughter, and it frightened him. He wondered if she had thought less of him for his charges and if that had been the reason she hadn't seen him, but when he was released he had saw the more clear, yet unfavorable, story. Shinji went on for three days without seeing his daughter, before finally finding out that she had been murdered while Shinji was serving his jail sentence, and for the second time, his world was crushed. He didn't know how to react or WHO he could direct his anger at, since now he had seen gangs take away his daughter, while he also believed that the police force were the ones that took away his brother. He found himself between a rock and a hard place, not knowing where or who to go to. By now the wound of his brother's death had already healed, and he had also to some extent forgave the police department. So with his new goal in mind, to discover what had happened to his daughter, he went to the police force to see if he could be involved, and once again regained his morals that he had once had, and the ones he had taught his daughter, to live on in her honor.
