My performance as Esrah has already demonstrated an understanding of different factions and types of roleplay in order for me to take a widespread view of the School Roleplay Minecraft Server. As my overall activity of her is provided, she has also faced genres of roleplay such a crime and gang roleplay before I had her change her ways to becoming a student council; to now a Caretaker faculty member for Karakura Highschool and College.

Alongside Esrah as a mannered and well mature character, I also play Achillies a lot of the time as involvement towards gang roleplay. Taking on a role in Sasori-Za, I appear online a lot for him to commit to projects the group is doing to convey my thoughts and opinions towards how it can work for all of our motivations. I involve my time with him as a character still learning more of the town, allowing myself as a player for over a year to enjoy the thrills of being 'new' to the town of Karakura and to learn more ideas and concepts I have not understood before. Apart from taking part in Crime, I have Achillies to also provide a general understanding in economics to evaluate his intelligence and to propose concepts and ideologies towards others in a kind manner.

✩₊˚.⋆☾⋆⁺₊✧ What position are you applying for (Maiden or Priest)? ✩₊˚.⋆☾⋆⁺₊✧
Upon writing my application, I am looking into applying to become a Maiden.
✩₊˚.⋆☾⋆⁺₊✧ What is your motivation for applying? ✩₊˚.⋆☾⋆⁺₊✧
My motivation towards joining the Shrine faction is to understand more about the Shintoism in the town of Karakura. Alongside the fresh change of scenery, trying out new factions that I have yet to try out yet! I have been contemplating over where my next destiny in School Roleplay should take place; and, I have decided to take it upon myself to try out a new faction, gather insight of what Maidens do at the Shrine, and be involved towards keeping a nice and prideful area of peace for those around me.
✩₊˚.⋆☾⋆⁺₊✧ What do you currently know about Shintoism? Are you willing to learn more about it? ✩₊˚.⋆☾⋆⁺₊✧
Shintoism is a religion within Japan. It is primarily seen as an East Asian religion by scholars of the religious beliefs, to which those in the religious believe in the nature around them as spiritual signs of moral values. Shintoism is seen as a religion with no set strict factors towards their beliefs or rituals, rather commence peace towards their ancestors and utmost respect for their ancestry. Along with the religion focusing around peace and harmony around the world, those who are Shinto believe that spirits after death remain forever; in a similar concept towards the spirit of kami. The Spirit of Kami is the goddess Amaterasu Okimaki; who's name also translates towards 'Great Divinity Illuminating Heaven'. She is seen as a guardian, a beam of hope and harmony who is to be described to be the 'protector' of the Japanese people and their spirits. Religious practices of Shintoism is also seen to take care of nature like a child of theirs, seeing people as a friend of theirs if the respect is provided. Alongside that, they believe that treating people the way they want to be treated, and respecting kami for protecting the Japanese people.
✩₊˚.⋆☾⋆⁺₊✧ Towards The Connection of Shintoism, And The Connection Towards Harmony! ✩₊˚.⋆☾⋆⁺₊✧
Alongside the understanding of the basic premise of Shintoism, there is a further in depth understanding of the concepts within the religion. Towards the understanding of Shinto beliefs in spirits, it dates back hundred of years in the past where the concept of purity began. Purity, also known as harae, showcases the idea that innocence towards the Japanese people must be taken place away from the Satanic/Bad spirits to keep them safe; this also falls under the topic of Kami. People under Shintoism believe that purifying spiritual pollution, also known as kegare, is best to keep the security of the Japanese spirits stable as to them kegare comes from arising contact from death or illnesses. Towards the nature of their location, those who practice Shinto see mountains, forests, and even waterfalls to be sacred towards their grasp; this allows the connection towards the nature to feel at ease while they connect to the wildlife provided to them. Although believing in security after death, they focus on present life concepts to which they live in harmony with the community they connect with; including ancestry and Kami.
✩₊˚.⋆☾⋆⁺₊✧ The Product of Connecting, Cleansed And Offered! ✩₊˚.⋆☾⋆⁺₊✧
Alongside the understanding of purification and spiritual pollution, other practices are preformed within the religion. Take for example offerings, most people practicing the religion are to offer food, coins, or other essentials to them towards Kami. This is an offering of thanks, towards the land and the people they communicate with, and a thank you towards Kami for protecting their presences and health. These prayers and offerings are usually done within shrines and festivals however. The shines usually are made up with maidens and priests, allowing connections towards Kami to take its toll towards those within the shrine. They usually greet those who bow towards the torii gate, a gate know to separate the outside world with their sacred realm and the honden, also known as the main hall. They usually also provide amulets as a sign of spiritual protection, allowing Kami to connect to those with the amulet and to protect them from the kegare, the amulets are also seen to provide fortune towards the Japanese people who are holders of one. On the topic of practices, rituals to protect the soul of the polluted involved sprinkling of salt water, standing underneath the waterfalls to cleanse the body and soul. These practices involve cleansing, allowing the negative spirits to back away from the soul holder and to allow a protected individual to keep living their life.
✩₊˚.⋆☾⋆⁺₊✧ The Brief History of Japan And Their Connection To Shintoism! ✩₊˚.⋆☾⋆⁺₊✧
Dating back to the prehistory era towards Shintoism, it has been told that it dated back in ancient texts such as the Kojiki and the Nihon Shoki. This provided myths that suggest the creation of the world including the addition to Kami protecting over it; primarily like a goddess of nature. At this time, early Japanese groups worshipped separate Kamis, better fitting towards their separate beliefs towards their terrain and connections; this suggested that there is multiple Kamis that the Japanese people worship. By the time Japan connected towards Korea and China, other religions such as Buddahism and Confucianism were influencing current Japanese beliefs that impacted the idea of Kami and Shintoism. Shintoism and Buddahism became almost intertwined, connecting ideas against each other to primarily connect to those following with the religion, this allowed Shinto and Buddhist temples to often be seen built next to one another due to their connecting ideas; this allowed a new religious practice known as Shinbutsu-shugo to popularize throughout the East Asian countries, this blended both the belief of Kami and the belief of the Buddhist figures respectfully. However, during the Meiji Period, Shintoism separated from Buddahism and labelled as a separate religion once more, remaining loyal towards the emperor before the fall of it after the second World War. As of current connections towards Shintoism, they went back to practices involving the spiritual connection with no restrictions or strict ruleset, primarily seen now in festivals and shrines in connection to positive blessings towards the Japanese people; and the respect towards Kami as a whole.
Despite my understanding of Shintoism, I do believe that I can learn more about the religious practices and to provide a smile informing people about the religion if they do not know certain aspects of it; alongside ask about the religion to gather a better grasp of the idea and concept.

Younger Origins of Esrah
While growing up in the town of Incheon, located in South Korea, Esrah grew up with a few younger and older siblings that always provided the utmost disrespect towards nature and the Gods she believed in. She was always fascinated in learning newer topics and understand those who did not acquaint to what she knew. Primarily a curious child, she always roamed around to ask questions about all the little things her brain can handle; applying her understanding and showing respect towards those she spoke to. While she was young, her older brother Jaide always studied different religions and topics that allowed her to fixate on what she wanted to learn. Although most of what he was studying was primarily due to his projects and education in Incheon, Esrah always took his books stealthily to understand what her older brother was learning and to feel pride in his studies. Jaide began practicing these religious traits to understand the religion and to connect to Kami, to worship her for keeping his family safe; this shed some light towards Esrah and her pride to connect to Kami the same way her older brother was. The two would always visit Japanese shrines when they went on trips to visit Japan, worshipping Kami and to give their thanks to her; and their ancestry.
"Thank you Kami, for protecting us, giving us life, and for providing a safe and calm environment for us and our families."
Although those Esrah spoke to did not understand the religious practices, she was always determined to enlighten her knowledge to those who did not. She always expressed a confident and soft smile to those who were interested in Shintoism and to speak to her friends and family about Kami. Esrah became friends with someone she used to know, a child who stood by her side and settled on Shinto practices with her. Ei-Mae her name was. A sweet soul, kind and loving. A soul that showed the connection to Kami the same way Esrah did. As Esrah and her family moved to Japan, Ei-Mae and her would appear to the shrine frequently; the Karakura Monastery. A spot they were able to connect to Kami, the spirits protecting them, and the maidens who watched them grow up; the same girls who appeared to the shrine since they were young.

A spot they were able to connect to Kami, the spirits protecting them, and the maidens who watched them grow up; the same girls who appeared to the shrine since they were young.
The Neko
Becoming a teenager now, Esrah still appeared to the Karakura Monastery frequently. Attending events such as ritual practices, and worship with Ei-Mae and the maidens on a regular basis. However, things have not been the same since the incident, the one that costed the life of her friend. The days felt like centuries, the years felt like millenniums, and her pride faded away. Although she kept appearing to the shrine, her mood shifted between joy and grief; it was almost like the shrine, to her, was another home. As the days turned to nights, Winter from the Autumn, Esrah's appearance to the shrine was unusually more active. Her connection towards Kami, the spirits she connected to, and those she lost has grown significantly. She always had a sweet spot for nature, to wildlife, and to the atmosphere, making sure that everything was well kept and fed to allow life to roam in the town of Karakura. Although her works did not appear significant, they always became something she felt pride for. On a cold, winter night, Esrah heard a scratch at the door of her home. Hesitantly, she put her eye to the glass peephole, to nothing, just the hallway separating the rooms. One that appeared as a labyrinth, at least to her; it was three in the morning by this time, already snugged into her bed moments prior. When she opened the door, she was shocked and horrified to see an American Shorthair; her ginger fur covered in white, rummaged in trash bins, desperately needing support from a fellow mammal. Instinctively, Esrah gently picked the kitten up, gently closing the door as she walked in.
*Esrah rang her sister, her hand shaking. Not due to the cold temperature of the kitten, but from the shocking fear that if she was not there sooner, it would have gotten worse. The cat already had some sc****s and bruises on her, her smell overflowing with rummaged garbage odor with a tint of damp melted snow in the mix.*
Despite her worries. Esrah's sister appeared to the door, a gentle knock followed by her as the door opened slightly. The two sisters took the cat into their aid, providing the animal the food she was needing, cleaning her in the tub with animal friendly soap, and warming her up as best as they could. Despite the cat's honor of the two girls, Esrah felt as she could have done more for the cat before sending her off with her sister. Her sister allowed the cat to live her life to the best home they could give her, a spot pet friendly and where the animal could not become endangered.
*As she walked up the pathway towards the Tori Gate, Esrah would cleanse her hands into the water. A gentle smile on her face as she walked up the pathway, to her other home. She would look at the Tori gate, taking a bow and walking over to make a tea. As she made her tea, she could hear a gentle meow coming from her right.*
As Esrah looked down, she saw a familiar ginger tone. A cat inhabiting the same color, looking up to her as her head tilted to the right. As Esrah's face formed a smile to the animal, she would get some water for the cat; alongside some food, providing the care the cat needed, deserved even. Esrah sat on her knees, gently taking sips of her tea as she looked outside to the nature around her. Since the events with the cat, it was already the starting week of Spring. Birds were able to be heard, chirping their melodies and calling their mates, foxes would be heard squeaking in their borrows, and cats would be seen licking their paws admiring the same set Esrah was. Greetings to the Tori gate would be made as maidens passed by. The whole place was at peace, a softer tone in the air compared to the snow show prior. With a gentle bow towards the gate once more, Esrah would say her goodbyes and smile to the maidens for having her there; the sweet melodies of the chirping following along.

Connecting to Kami
Esrah usually took her time with her family as a cherish-able concept. Despite her being busy primarily with her jobs, her connection to her family was always top priority towards her as a person. Having a good reputation towards nature and the wildlife inhabiting Karakura, Esrah would keep appearing to the shrine for prayers, religious ritual, and religious practices to connect to Kami and those she knew. All that would be distracting to Esrah and her connection to her family, despite the time she spent with them, she just had all the time booked up with other passions of hers. It was evident that if something were to happen to her or her family, despair and grief would appear shortly after.
*Phone ringing would be heard from the cell. As Esrah approached the phone, she would pick up to speak to the caller. Dread and tears flowing down her face after she heard what was said on the line.*
Shortly after hanging up the phone, Esrah would go around the house to gather some things. Leaves, family heirlooms, jewels, a vase, a potted flower similar to the color of jade. She would make a shrine of sorts, a green one. Consisting of pictures of her and the other. She placed the first picture down, showcasing a picture of her and her sister, another photo of her and her father, and another with her, and her brother. A familiar person was in all of these pictures, one who supported and helped her in rough times, one who fought for her, and one who introduced her to Shintoism as a whole; Jaide. The news of her brother's death dreaded, a ringing reminder in her head that no matter what she did, nothing would be able to fix the past. Just one more minute could have been enough for her to feel the joy of her brother once more, fighting the negative thoughts of her own self in order to see him one, last, time. Rain trickled down the window pane, the cloud covering the sun as a beam of hope was no where to be seen. Her grief, her sorrow, her worries. All that she could have done, nothing. Despite attending his funeral, placing his ashes in a jade stone vase, Esrah appeared to the shrine frequently once more. This time, trying to connect to Kami again. As she made herself at ease in the shrine, she sat down onto her knees, praying to Kami for her brother, her family, and the nature around her.
"Please, Kami, please protect my brother's spirit from anything in harm to him. Kami, please show hope in my family over the span of their life. Please, let me honor your trust, allow me to trust, that a home for him and his loved ones are earned through you; Kami."
Tears turning into stains on her cheeks, and the rain stopping, a beam of light would peer through the clouds and onto Esrah. A possible connection to hope and pride was provided to her; a sign nevertheless. As she looked over to the stairs leading up the hill, she noticed a figure she knew; while a smile formed onto her face gently. She saw him, her brother, walking up these stairs. After a few moments, the spirit of her brother looked back to Esrah, waving gently to her, as a beam of light slowly took him; allowing him to be protected in the afterlife. Esrah's prayers were met, Kami supported her like she supported Kami. As Esrah stood up, she looked over to the mountain view. Animals made their sounds, a peaceful tune the shrine would always have whenever she was there. Her trust, her pride, and her practices connected her to Kami, all of her works allowed Kami to connect to Esrah. This made Esrah to who she is today, appearing to the shrine frequently in an attempt to keep connecting, and in the future, a possible maiden towards the shrine.

✩₊˚.⋆☾⋆⁺₊✧ How does your character act around shrine grounds? How do they interact with guests and other staff? ✩₊˚.⋆☾⋆⁺₊✧
Esrah would always cleanse her hands before entering the shrine to showcase her respect to the other maidens, Kami, and the shrine as a whole. She would take great care of the shrine grounds and propose a safe place for people attending the shrine. Towards guests, Esrah would offer them a tea, have a chat with people in the shrine, and treat others with the highest tier of respect while they pay their visit. Overall, she would be mature with her language, having a consistent safe place to speak and a safe place away from anyone who declares hostility to those in the shrine.
✩₊˚.⋆☾⋆⁺₊✧ You see a guest jumping around the roofs of the building and overall disrespecting shrine grounds, how would your character handle it? ✩₊˚.⋆☾⋆⁺₊✧
Seeing people jumping around on the rooftops of buildings and disrespecting shrine grounds. Esrah would approach them and inform them kindly to stop what they are doing as it is seen as disrespectful to the shrine and the people practicing Shintoism as a whole. If they stopped, apologized, and continued with their day in the shrine then she would offer them a tea or a chat to connect to them. If they do not listen or comply to the shrine rules and the maiden's request, Esrah would warn them three times before blacklisting them from the shrine's grounds for disrespecting the shine and the people inside. She would also inform other maidens and priests to keep out for them if conflict were to happen in a mature, yet kind manner.
✩₊˚.⋆☾⋆⁺₊✧ Why does your character want to become a shrine maiden/priest? ✩₊˚.⋆☾⋆⁺₊✧
Esrah would want to become a shrine maiden primarily for the connection to Kami and to experience more Shinto practices. She believes that she can help around with the shrine including welcoming guests to the Monastery, taking care of the nature in the Monastery, and to participate in prayers hosted at the shrine. Esrah believes that she could be a good help, able to connect to those in the shrine and to teach others about Shintoism as a whole if curious.
(I am sure if I have further questions when the time comes, I am for sure going to ask about things! I do thank you for reading my application and to consider me as an applicant for the position as Shrine Maiden.!)
