Trivia
What is your motivation for becoming a teacher?:
I might have a different motivation for becoming a teacher, but I mainly want players to have a good time when going to class. When I play SRP my friends are sometimes complaining about class, and I just want players to have a fun learning experience. How I will do this, is by greeting every student in the morning before I start the lesson. I might also say a small joke and continue on with the lesson. Another thing I could do to make classes more enjoyable is change up the assignments a bit. For example, the students had to write a essay. Maybe I could make it so they have to write, (What Is Your Favorite Food? or Who Is Your Favorite Singer?) something fun like that, just to keep them engaged and change it up a bit.
Another reason I want to be a teacher is because this gives me a new roleplay. Currently I am in grade 12 and 18 years old, but I think having the position to portray a teacher would be really fun. I know it is not as easy as it looks, but I will manage. Before I start the school day, I will have my lessons planned out ready to go! Also I will have a notepad with the things to talk about in the lesson so I don't miss anything, and so students receive the most they can out of a lesson because I don't want to waste their time. Personally, I think I would be pretty good at portraying a English teacher because literature really interests me and I would love to help others learn about it.
Finally, I want to be a teacher when I grow up. It is true, I want to be a teacher when I grow up and I think this would be a great opportunity for me to try out teaching on a fun Minecraft server. I know it is not the same thing but it is the closest thing I can get to teaching online to help others being 15 years old. But like I said, I would be more than happy to help others learn about literature and English and I think I could do that by becoming a teacher for Karakura High School.
Do you have any experience in Roleplaying?:
If I am being honest, most of my experience in Roleplaying is on SRP. If you are also talking about roleplaying other than video games, I have played Dungeons and Dragons with a couple of my buddies and it was pretty fun. If you haven't heard or played Dungeons and Dragons it is basically a fantasy table top dice rolling game, where you can make characters to portray and play as. But on the topic of roleplaying in video games, the only other experience I have is playing restaurant Minecraft servers when I was younger.
Have you read the Faculty Handbook?:
Yes, I have read the Faculty Handbook.
What are the classroom logs and why is it important?:
Classroom logs, are basically proof to show you are working. For classroom logs, it shows that the employee is actually working and their employer can pay them the correct amount. Without logs, the employer would not know if the employee is actually working or just inactive.
You want to start a school field trip; how do you do that?:
If I wanted to start a field trip, I would first ask the class where they would want to go. If they all agree on a location, I would ask the principal, kindly if I may continue with this idea of a fun Karakura High School field trip. If the principal declines my idea, I will just teach a lesson I had prepared.
As a teacher, what are the strict rules when being in a class?:
1. No Swearing
2. Must be in class on time
3. No disrupting the class ex: (phones, blurting out, etc.)
4. Have respect for the teacher and your peers
5. Must raise hand if you have a question, or an answer.
6. No cheating or asking peers for answers.
7. Come to class with a positive attitude.
8. Don't be afraid to ask questions!
Summarize your previous RP experience's (both in general and on SchoolRP):
If I'm being honest, SRP has been my most professional and fun roleplay experience. Like I said, I was on restaurant roleplays when I was younger, but they were not as good as SRP. The restaurant roleplays were not terrible, but they were not anything special. My best experience though in SRP is, being a grade 12 student because I like learning new things, and I think if I was a teacher it would fun to teach some players some new things they do not know especially in English.
Describe the ranking system of teachers:
- HD: Head of Department are basically the head teachers of their department. This means, they are in charge of making sure the curriculum is taught correctly, and that they run the department they chose to be apart of correctly.
- QTLS: Qualified Teacher Learning and Skills are basically who the Newly Qualified Teachers look up to. They can host their own classes without permission needed and they are qualified to train the Newly Qualified Teachers.
- NQT: Newly Qualified Teacher are basically the rookies, among teachers. They can host there own classes, but they must earn permission from the Head of Department if they are going to work alone. Since they are new, they may make mistakes, so they sometimes need to be supervised by a higher up teacher. (QTLS, HD)
Teacher Knowledge
Present to us your knowledge about Teachers in-game and out-of-game, what purpose do teachers serve. What salary do they get? Include a paragraph about the way teachers teach, what they do in their spare time in general.
What teachers do in real life are teach students about important information. Teachers help students learn, if they are pursuing a professional job when they are older, or if the student just wants a high school diploma. In real life, teachers make around 40-60K (CAD). On SRP, teachers make 250K every 15 classes taught in one OOC month, plus a 50K bonus every 5 extra classes. If they they have completed grading test/assignments, lesson plans, etc. They are just a normal adult leaving a quiet life. Also every teacher teaches a different way. The main teaching methods are auditory and visual learning, and they use that learning with slide shows, presentations etc. But it is the teacher's decision on what method to use.
Why are teachers important to a SchoolRP server?:
Teachers are one of the most important jobs in the SchoolRP server. If there were no teachers, it would not really be SRP if there were no classes, it would be just a server where you just talk to friends and hangout. Luckily, there are people who portray the role of a teacher, so SRP can be a more authentic roleplay.
What lesson planning system does the school work on?:
The lesson planning system the school uses is "Must Have, Could Have, Should Have" system.
Character Knowledge
Tell us everything you know about the character you will be playing in a few paragraphs. How does he look like? What makes him unique and different? What is his outlook on Students? What about the other teachers? What is his personality like? What is his plan for the future?
Nobu Estonia is a male with grey eyes and straight black hair. All the time, Nobu is smiling and trying to make people have a nice day. He would be a above average in height for a 30 year old man, standing at 6'5. Overall, Nobu's best feature is his kind hearted personality, treating everyone equally, no matter what.
Being 30 years old, he sometimes dresses more hip than other people his age, because he is a kid at heart. He believes every student should have equal opportunity, and he tries his best to make sure every student, understands the material being taught to the class so they can all have a choice of going to college after high school. His plans for the future is being a teacher students respect, and a kind person helping people as much as he can, so they can live with comfort.
Scenarios
You find a gang of delinquents in the hallway cursing and swearing, what do you do?:
If they were interrupting classes or being rude to their peers, I would give them a warning. If they ignore me and do it again, I would give them detention. If during detention, or before they were still being disruptive, I would ask the principal if the individual can be suspended because they are not behaving when I tell them to stop.
No one in your class is listening to a word you say, what do you do?:
If no one is listening to what I am saying, in a kind voice, while clapping my hands I would tell them to pay attention, and mention they may only talk if they receive permission. If one or more students continue, I will kick them out of class or give them detention if needed.
When in the teacher's lounge, how does your character act?:
In the teacher's lounge, Nobu would be very friendly. He would greet some of his co workers, but if there was someone there he didn't know, he would give them a warm welcome and try to have a conversation with them. Generally, Nobu just likes to talk and have conversations with friends or even new people he just met.

Backstory:
Nobu Estonia was born in Karakura, Japan. He had a pretty good life until, his brother Mateo got hit by a drunk driver. Nobu was depressed and he didn't know what to do. He eventually found basketball. He loved basketball so much and he wanted to make Mateo proud. He eventually made the team, and practiced everyday. He also focused on school and earned an impressive GPA of 4.0 because he wanted to stay on the team. His teammates were very supportive and had respect for him, playing basketball for his deceased friend Mateo. He didn't have a home because Mateo and Nobu would split rent but when Mateo passed away, he had to pay for his funeral. He then met a kind man who let him stay at his apartment for free. Nobu had respect for this man and he would never forget him. In his senior year, many colleges wanted to offer him a scholarship for basketball. But he declined all of them. He said that he wanted to become a teacher and help kids who had a unfortunate childhood like he had. He decided to accept a academic scholarship from Karakura College.
In College, since Nobu is good looking he was asked out a lot. But he kindly said no to all of the people who asked him out because he wanted to focus on his dream of becoming a English Teacher. He majored in English and minored in Mathematics. The professors were proud of Nobu and were rooting for him to receive his dream job. In 2012, he earned a bachelor's degree in English. In his speech, he said "My brother passed away when I was a freshmen in high school, I made a promise, I would make him proud and follow my dreams. Without Mateo, I wouldn't be here today. I want to say thanks to my brother for helping me earn this, I miss you bro". A local elementary school, heard his story, and offered him a job as a Grade 6 teacher. He accepted the offer and worked at the school for 7 years. The reason he stopped working there is because, the principal said he is better off working at a high school because he is qualified to do so. He applied to Karakura High School and got a job as a English Teacher!
