Trivia

What is your motivation for becoming a teacher?:
My motivation for becoming a teacher has been influenced by my former friends who experienced the school staff and teachers aspect of the school itself. I believe that it will be an educational opportunity for both me and those who I teach. I have many instances of helping people learn more about certain subjects and teaching people about certain times in history related to my backstory. I believe that it’s important to teach others and learn yourself because as a teacher you will be learning more about your students and what you can do to make the learning process more interesting.

Do you have any experience in Roleplaying?:
I have been roleplaying for a number of years, on multiple servers, and mostly on discord, recently I have been roleplaying more on SRP and have been for a while. I believe that I am an experienced roleplayer and improviser if deemed necessary. I have been thrown certain events at random times to see how I react by my own friends and it has strengthened my roleplaying skills to the point where I can play a number of personality based characters without confusing them with others.

Have you read the Faculty Handbook?:
Yes, I have read and personally, understand the faculty handbook.

What are the classroom logs and why is it important?:
Classroom logs are when teachers need to write down when they taught and what they taught on a log to help other teachers determine what needs to be taught and that the teacher did teach that day. It also helps other teachers and the principal ensures that you are doing your job correctly and accurately in the best need of the student.

You want to start a school field trip; how do you do that?:
You would need to fill out the application and submit it or talk to one of the teaching heads, such as the Principal or Vice. To schedule outside of class excursions.

As a teacher, what are the strict rules when being in a class?:

  • No Eating in Class
  • Respecting Peers and Teachers
  • No Violence or harming of anyone
  • The Use of Swearing and Racial Slurs are Prohibited
  • No speaking without raising your hand
  • No Cell Phones
Summarize your previous RP experience's (both in general and on SchoolRP):
In summary, I have roleplayed on a number of servers as well as become a moderator or a writer on most, as well as a builder. Specifically speaking, though, I have been roleplaying for over five years and have written some of my own creative roleplays on discord for my friends to enjoy. I understand the basics of Roleplaying and how to continue to improve yourself while expressing your characters. Some of the servers I have come from are { TMD, Elysium, FamilyRP, Rowlings Realm and finally SRP}. I know how to improv and I can make anything up on the spot.

Describe the ranking system of teachers:

{HD}: HD means the Head of Department, one of the main roles in the school system as they are responsible for many things going on in the school system itself. They are focused more on a certain subject as well as managing the school faculty and financial resources.

{QTLS}: Qualified Teacher and Learning Skills are to help students make a pathway to what or who they want to be in life and help them achieve their goals with understanding and support.

{NQT}: New Qualified Teachers are those who gained certain Qualified teacher status but they need to complete a certain 5-year plan to achieve a higher status. These people are newer to the school systems and are open to learning more about the school and how it works.

Teacher Knowledge

Present to us your knowledge about Teachers in-game and out-of-game, what purpose do teachers serve. What salary do they get? Include a paragraph about the way teachers teach, what they do in their spare time in general.

Out of Game & In-game
Teachers out of Game serve one of the greatest purposes of all, without them, the world wouldn’t be where it was today. They are an important part of our lives and even if we don’t naturally like them they are in charge of what we do and what we learn on a daily basis. Teachers are stronger, and they have a confidence about them, learning as they go sometimes or being the lecturer who wants to get his students to where they need to be. They are some of the few people who understand what it’s like to learn all of this information and they keep to their morals if they wish to have a good classroom.

One of their main jobs is understanding the lesson, planning it, and teaching it correctly to their students to make sure that they don’t give out false information to the next generation. They are also there to help students grow and mature into young adults, ready for the working world. That’s what life is mostly about as well, getting ready for the workforce and our lives ahead of us. Their sole purpose is to teach different subjects and encourage students to learn more and to continue exploring the depths. It’s not always just about homework or dealing with constant tests and quizzes, it’s about actually understanding the subject and teaching it in a way that the students can understand and strive for.

I believe that the in-game teachers should be reflected off of the out of game teachers, matching passion, drive, and the ability to make classes fun for students. They plan lessons, to help engage their students depending on the certain subject that the specific person teaches. They went to school for this as well so they are some of the most knowledgeable people that you will meet in your life. They teach you how to live, how to learn and how to survive when you’re on your own. You may not like the subject but they are there for you every step of the way. You make an impact on their lives just as much as they make an impact on yours. In their spare time, they mostly plan lessons, fix homework, and quizzes as well as coming up with new projects to entertain the class. They are, of course, allowed to have free time as well but as a teacher, their students should come first, because that is what they signed up to do.

The salary of a teacher ranges in different parts of the country. In Japan, currently, the average is about $47,000 a year in U.S. money. In the U.S., it is $30,000 at the start then increases to around $51,000 depending on their amount of teaching years. Although this seems like a bit of money, I personally believe that teachers are worth more than that, and most of them are underpaid.

Why are teachers important to a SchoolRP server?:
Teachers are important to the SRP server for two reasons one it is actually part of the roleplaying aspect of the server, and two I believe that people should have the ability to play as teachers to understand more about what it’s like to be a teacher in front of a bunch of students. As well as, giving an insight to learning more about the subject you’re teaching and the ability you have to teach it.

They are the very basis of the server and the educational system and without them the school would most likely be thrown into chaos and become something that most would not want to go to. It helps build characters as well, students and teachers alike.

What lesson planning system does the school work on?:
I believe it is a system called MoSCo, or Must have, Should have, Would have, or more of a team work based environment of planning certain lessons with others to connect various subjects together under a few lessons.

Character Knowledge

Tell us everything you know about the character you will be playing in a few paragraphs. How does he look like? What makes him unique and different? What is his outlook on Students? What about the other teachers? What is his personality like? What is his plan for the future?

I have been playing this character on here for quite a while and she has been built up through the years on SRP. Tessa or Cloudie, has been my main character for quite a while, bubbly, outgoing, enthusiastic, yet having more of a quiet, depressed side. She has been through many things, from being left on the altar of her wedding ceremony to dealing with many of her close friends dying in front of her. This hasn’t dampened her spirit though, it’s still bright and blazing within her, a passion that can never be tarnished, no matter what happens. She loves to make friends and she is always encouraged to do what she believes is right. She doesn’t take sides in many matters either. If a situation grows dire, she will sit the two parties down and have them discuss in a calm and controlled environment until the argument is handled. Although, she is known to be a bit stubborn at times when it comes to certain things she doesn’t like to do or when her friends are fighting. She also has a short temper that she has been working on a lot lately and it has gotten better.

She is 5’4” with pale pink hair which she usually dyes from time to time if she would get accepted she would most likely change it to a more neutral color in order not to completely stand out or show herself as childish. She changes contact colors frequently too, as she can be quite anxious about her looks. Tessa also has a curvier body with slight muscles down her legs and arms, that have built up over time of training and carrying people around. Her eyes are larger and round, as her face is more childish than to be expected, but that doesn’t bother her.

With students, she would be more calm, and gentle with them, not yelling or screaming at them but letting them speak if they have a question or a concern about something happening, only if they were to do it in a proper way through. Although, she won’t tolerate any misbehavior of the students as she thinks its improper to act up in class and has been annoyed by it when she was a student. Of course, she would use her former experiences as a student in the school to motivate what she does and her movements within the classroom while trying to make class a place that everyone can enjoy. With teachers, her first thought would be to make new friends and to introduce herself to others, even if they don’t want to be friends, at least they will know her name. She has a respect for both teachers and students, and that will not dampen unless something causes her to lose respect for the person. But that would have to be something more drastic.

She is unique and I love this character because of her spunky personality and heartfelt conversations she has with people. She has heart, and spirit and a unique sense of understanding when talking to people around her. She has the ability to relate to people on a level that she doesn’t even think is possible at times. She will never let anything drag her down either as she just wants to do the right thing.

Scenarios

You find a gang of delinquents in the hallway cursing and swearing, what do you do?:
She would first warn them to stop it, by calmly telling them that it’s disrespectful to say those words on school grounds and especially in the hallway surrounded by other students. If they didn’t stop or they would get threatening she would begin to go down the list of things that would be done. At first, she would start to tell them that they need to listen to her or there would be detention waiting for them. If that didn’t work, she would go directly to the principal or another teacher to help her deal with the situation.

No one in your class is listening to a word you say, what do you do?:
She wouldn't yell or scream at them but calmly figure out a way to get their attention, either by using the clapping method or by calling for attention in a sterner but not so offensive way. Or she would call out one or two students to stand up and read the next passage, for a more creative way of getting others' attention, by also saying that it will be on the quiz next class or in the homework they would be assigned.

When in the teacher's lounge, how does your character act?:
Refined, but to a point, being more open to talking to teachers but still holding onto the respect she would need to upkeep. She wouldn’t let herself get carried away with childish acts nor would push people to their limits and cause an uproar. Tessa would be also mostly focusing on correcting papers or working on different lessons somewhere in the corner.

Provide at least 5 detailed /me's of your character inside a classroom:

/me Miss Tessa would stand at the front of the classroom, a gentle expression adorning her face as she watches the students enter the room. Her hair would be neatly pinned in a bun at the top of her head, wearing more formal clothing to accurately represent herself as a teacher in Taketatsu High School. A look of curiosity appeared on her face as she examined each of her students, a growing hope appearing in her chest at the thought of being able to teach all of these younger people.

/me She turned to the board when they had all taken their seats, turning to the board to start writing the lesson and her name in pristine penmanship. Turning back to the class she would formally introduce herself to the students, bowing at the end of her introduction before letting the students introduce themselves one by one.

/me After the students finished, she would begin to teach her lesson about the certain aspects of favored literature, mostly Japanese types, but also different forms of English literature in future times.

/me Throughout the lesson, she paused, asking students questions about what they just learned, and having them take notes of certain things that they would need to remember for their test.

/me At the end of the class, Miss Tessa would hand out the homework, mostly consisting of a prompt to talk about what they learned today and how they could relate to a certain part of literature in their lives today. She would then have them stand and push in their chairs before exiting the classroom.

Backstory

Tessa Veraline Leonette Artemiva, was born on January 5th, 1994 and raised in Russia along with the rest of the Artemiva family living in a larger mansion, located near Mount Elbrus. She was a bright young girl from the beginning taking a liking to learning and using her own talents to help teach her younger siblings more about who their family was as well as how to read and write and explore new types of expressing themselves through writing. On a daily basis, she would be found helping them with different subjects as they went through the years of schooling. As most of them were homeschooled, it gave Tessa a great chance at learning as much as she can about both teaching and history as there were no limits to what they could learn. At the age of 13, her family moved to the U.S.A. as their parents had to move for their work. In these travels, she was able to learn more about different cultures, and different forms of literature. Always loving a new book and a new example of it in her life. Usually she would be found in the library which was her favorite place to be. Two years later, her parents were killed in an accident that sent her and her family to Japan where her uncle and aunt lived. This took a major hit on Tessa, as she wasn’t sure what to do after this. The one thing she turned to was her love of people, and her love of learning and applied to go to the larger highschool in Karakura, Japan. Changing her last name to Kalon due to personal reasons. She was accepted and moved closer, away from her family and into a bright new world. For years now, she has been brought up by her friends, and teachers who encouraged her to go farther with her life and achieve her dreams. She made friends with some teachers and most liked her until she had to move back to Russia to handle some personal family matters. She then came back, having attended a school in Russia for a year or two, and decided that she would go for what she wanted to do in her life. Helping people and teaching people more about the world and how we wouldn’t be where we are without things that happened in the past and how it could encourage others to embrace who they are with the history they have. She never let anything stop her and she’s not going to let anything stop her now.
