Describe your activity on the server:
I have been playing srp for over a few years now and have been a very active player since I first joined the server. I usually am online from 4 hours up to 10 hours a day. I usually get my quotas as a professor done very quickly and like to make journalism reports in my free time. I also attend practices very often in the baseball team and like to involve myself in a lot of different roleplay each time I get online. Throughout the years I’ve made lots of friends which makes me even more motivated to get on from time to time. Even at times almost nobody’s on. I tend to enjoy wandering around the map, talking to other people and other factions and more! I have learned well from other players how to play and caught on tot he server’s rules very quickly since I first joined!

What position are you applying for?:
I am applying for the lawyer position!
What is your motivation for applying?:
The law has always been an interesting thing for me but it wasn’t untill in high school that I started learning a lot about the law, not only inside my own country but also from other countries spread out in the world, this also made me learn a lot about their cultures and it truly fascinated me! Since then I’ve been in contact with a lot of different people and learned a lot of things over different jobs and between all of these jobs lawyer stood out the most to me, not only were my parents both lawyers, but their work also fascinated me as I found it right for them to defend people who aren’t guilty and make sure they don’t end up in any huge trouble for something they didn’t do. Because of this I’ve also been looking at actuall court cases and put myself in both the positions of the judge, the defendant, and the prosecutor to see what I would do differently. I feel like these people are very important for the world and that’s why I want to be a part of them and know what it’s like to be a lawyer! I also believe this would be a great way for me to involve myself in more roleplay situations, so I can involve myself more with the server both icly and oocly! I’ve also recently seen some of the srp court cases and it has recently gotten me even more inspired to become a lawyer than before, as I feel like it has sparked some ideas in to me, things I believe I could do better/differently than other lawyers, whilst also following the formal rules of the court!
Do you have an understanding of Karakura’s laws & Constitutional rights?:
I do, and have read through the laws and rights of Karakura multiple times to get a better understanding of the possible punishments certain crimes can lead to. And what your character is, and isn’t allowed to do. As well as what you have the right to do in certain situations.
Are there any goals for you or your character with this role?:
(IRL goals:)
I have been wanting this role for irl reasons outside of srp itself for a long time now, this is because I want to learn from this experience as an icly lawyer,
and get taught many things by srp’s court cases as I myself am looking to maybe become a lawyer one day in real life too! My parents, who are both lawyers too (specialising in tax and financial cases) have inspired me to take this path since I was very little and being honest: it interested me a lot and made me look into more and more of their work, once I heard srp was dropping the lawyer role and roles like the judge I emmediatly began applying, I did this a total of 4 times already and didn’t think too much about my applications as I was overwhelmed by excitement, today I’m here to learn from my mistakes and take on the role as a lawyer and take my inspiration from RPH and perhaps it may come in use in the near future for me!

I am planning to use this character to become one of Karakura’s best lawyers and help people who both got accused of something whilst being innocent or being guilty, as I believe everyone deserves someone to defend them! I will help Karakura gain a better understanding of the law and will show them to not be afraid of ending up in court for something they didn’t do with a strong, helpfull lawyer by their side, making them not lose their character to a simple frame job! Another goal for my character, not related to the job is to use this character to finally complete my day one goal on srp, being: getting an entire family of accounts. This will give me the ability to have a father for the family! Along with this I’ll also be using this character to give people legal advice and much much more!
In your own words, describe what the position you’re applying for does within the government:
A lawyer’s purpose is to represent their clients in their trials as a defendant, attend court hearrings, they’re also required to meet up with their clients to discuss certain things about their case and keep up to date with any newly added laws and finally they are also, and this speaks for itself, supposed to collect any evidence to prove their client isn’t guilty. Not like a detective, of course, but by talking to their clients and by using the evidence collected by the KPD
And if they’re not a defendant they’re a prosecutor, and then work fort he government/KPD and will do anything to prove the client is guilty! The prosecutor’s objective in a trial is to prove the defendant is guilty, in an attempt to achieve this they are also required to find evidence to support their arguments against the defendant.
These lawyers are expected to be respectfull to both their clients, the court room and the judges, calling them by their correct names “your honour”, they are also not allowed to be rude or disrespectfull as these people represent the law and are to be taken seriously!
Lastly lawyers are also allowed to share legal advice and answer legal questions about the law to both their clients, and people in general.

I do, as I could be seen as not suited for this position at any given time.

I have worked as a political science, and economics professor in Belgium, where I lived together with my family before we moved to Karakura.
When I first got accepted for my position as a professor I was yet to find my great passion for this position and had not many jobs in mind, but teaching what I was taught when I was young, to other students like me. It was later that I had gotten a huge passion for the lawyer position as I saw a few of my students get accused of something I knew they couldn’t be capable of! That’s when I started thinking, and then I decided I wanted to become a lawyer to defend those who can’t defend themselves in court, and get them out of any non-deserved trouble!
Then I began applying in Belgium, and later I got accepted, with this change of heart when I had my first case, I immediately felt it, this was what I needed and it was amazing! It was after this that I started working for a bigger lawyer firm called Stibbe, which taught me even more about the laws and rights everyone has/has to follow. It was later that my family moved to Karakura, it was a little hard for me to leave all my work behind at first but in the end I did go, and I am now searching for a new place to be deployed at for the same position to continue doing my passion!
Political background:
I was born in Belgium in a loving family, both my parents were lawyers. Back when I was little I was always fascinated with their work. I always overheard their calls, their meetings and looked over their work, it made me feel like they were really good people and their work always interested me! When I was around the age of 16 I started watching footage of well known court cases with my parents this was very inspiring to me back then, this led me to later study political science and major in this. When I graduated from college with my Juris Doctor degree, I applied for a position in a large company and later became a lawyer at the age of 31. When my son, Brandon wanted to move to Karakura the entire family followed to support him, except me, I stayed one year longer in Belgium as I wanted to work one more year there before joining them in Karakura as I was a little nervous and felt like I wanted to have some closure from my job there. Hence why I am now applying for this exact position for Karakura, as I dream of becoming one of the best of Karakura’s lawyers!

I am over all a great candadite for this position thanks to my previous working experiences as a lawyer. my time as a professor also taught me a few things. I also believe I stand out more compared to other applicants because of my early interests in this position and the inspiration for this job! I look forward to working here as I did in Belgium, as in my point of view everyone, no matter the country deserves someone to defend them! I have also studied for several years to get what I have achieved today, and am proud of where I stand, I feel inspired as I feel like the last few court cases I’ve seen really made me miss my old job, hence why I’m so motivated for applying!
