Describe your activity on the server:
I have been playing srp for over a few years now and have been a very active player since I first joined the server. I usually am online from 4 hours up to 10 hours a day. I usually get my quotas as a professor done very quickly and like to make journalism reports in my free time. I also attend practices very often in the baseball team and like to involve myself in a lot of different roleplay each time I get online. Throughout the years I’ve made lots of friends which makes me even more motivated to get on from time to time. Even at times almost nobody’s on. I tend to enjoy wandering around the map, talking to other people and other factions and more! I have learned well from other players how to play and caught on to the server’s rules very quickly since I first joined! Throughout the years I’ve come to face many ups, I’ve been employed at sayonara before which I hugely enjoyed, I’ve aided the baseball team as much as I could, carrying my weight tot he point where I can proudly now help the team, come up with new strategies, help with communication, and overall keeping the spirits good by complimenting everyone when they do something good! Ensuring them that even if it might be hard at first, you’ll get there eventually, no matter what.

What is your motivation for applying?:
The law has always been an interesting thing for me but it wasn’t untill in high school that I started learning a lot about the law, not only inside my own country but also from other countries as well. This also made me learn a lot about their cultures and it truly fascinated me! Since then I’ve been in contact with a lot of different people and learned a lot of different things about several jobs and between all of these jobs, lawyer stood out the most to me, not only were my parents both lawyers, but their work also interested me as I found it right for them to defend people who aren’t guilty and make sure they don’t end up in any huge trouble for something they didn’t do. And, same goes fort he ones who are in fact guilty, as, in my opinion, everyone deserves protection, whether being right or wrong. Because of this I’ve also been looking at actuall court cases and put myself in both the positions of the judge, the defendant, and the prosecutor to see what I would do differently. I feel like these people are very important for the world and that’s why I want to be a part of them and know what it’s like to be a lawyer!
I also believe this would be a great way for me to involve myself in more roleplay situations, so I can involve myself more with the server both icly and oocly! I’ve also recently seen some of the srp court cases and it has recently gotten me even more inspired to become a lawyer than before, as I feel like it has sparked some ideas in me, things I believe I could do better/differently than other lawyers, whilst also following the formal rules of the court!
Due to my experience with my parents both being lawyers I also think I’d suit this position well due to my general knowledge of the court. I am inspired to work with others in the city faction as I really want to get involved with several different communities within the server to not only expand my experience, but also make a lot of friends.
Do you have an understanding of Karakura’s laws & Constitutional rights?:
I do, and have read through the laws and rights of Karakura multiple times to get a better understanding of the possible punishments certain crimes can lead to. And what your character is, and isn’t allowed to do. As well as what you have the right to do in certain situations.
Are there any goals for you or your character with this role?:
(IRL goals:)
I have been wanting this role for irl reasons outside of srp itself for a long time now, this is because I want to learn from this experience as an icly lawyer, and get taught many things by srp’s court cases as I myself am looking to maybe become a lawyer one day in real life too! My parents, who are both lawyers too (specialising in tax and financial cases) have inspired me to take this path since I was very little and being honest: it interested me a lot and made me look into more and more of their work, once I heard srp was dropping the lawyer role and roles like the judge I emmediatly began applying, I did this a total of 4 times already and didn’t think too much about my applications as I was overwhelmed by excitement, today I’m here to learn from my mistakes and take on the role as a lawyer and take my inspiration from RPH and perhaps it may come in use in the near future for me!

I am planning to use this character to become one of Karakura’s best lawyers and help people who both got accused of something whilst being innocent or being guilty, as I believe everyone deserves someone to defend them! I will help Karakura gain a better understanding of the law and will show them to not be afraid of ending up in court for something they didn’t do with a strong, helpfull lawyer by their side, making them not lose their character to a simple frame job! Another goal for my character, not related to the job is to use this character to finally complete my day one goal on srp, being: getting an entire family of accounts. This will give me the ability to have a father for the family! Along with this I’ll also be using this character to give people legal advice and much much more! I want to be one of the best lawyers there are and want to get a taste of this faction as well as be one of the few to get the honor to experience what it feels like to be an actual lawyer on srp!
(general goals:)
I aim to learn from this experience both icly and oocly to further my knowledge of the law system expand my knowledge over the roleplay community, I want to work for the government icly as one of their own, I want to defend the people of Karakura I want to spread the title of the lawyer around srp and make them popular as in my opinion the role is a very cool one and people should be inspired to become one! I also want to involve myself in the community more, join more parts every nook and cranny of srp, and this is one of the things I've been trying to prioratize to join as I would love to learn from this and joining this would make me have a great first experience as a lawyer for later irl goals with this position as well!
In your own words, describe what the position you’re applying for does within the government:
The following are groups the lawyers are devided in and what they do specificly. (The first section is about the 2 main functions a lawyer has. And the second part explains what type of lawyers there are and what they do exactly.)
Defendant:
A lawyer’s purpose within the faction is to represent their clients in court, these lawyers are called the defendant, they have to provide evidence and materials they can use in the court to prove the “criminal” is in fact innocent! They want to make the punishment as minimal as possible to none for their client.
Prosecutor:
In other cases, lawyers can also be used to represent the state. This person is known for trying to convince the judge the client of the defendant is indeed guilty. and nothing else said, they do this by collecting evidence, stating things that would otherwhise be forgotten, and fight the defendant with valid arguments to prove their statement.

The types of lawyers:
A lawyer has a large choice as to what type of lawyer they want to be and what type of court cases they want to take on. They can do this by immersing themselves in a specific topic, which will decide their career path as a lawyer, these types of lawyers consist of but are not limited to:
-Bankruptcy lawyer
This type of lawyer will try making plans and help in any possible way to find a way for you to not end up with huge debts and become bankrupt, these people also find themselves working in some tax cases from time to time.
-Corporate lawyer
The corporate lawyers, also known as bussiness lawyers, handle legal matters for businesses and ensure that the transactions of the company itself occur within the lines of local, state, and federal laws. They do this by conducting legal research, writing and revising legal documents, and by negotiating contracts!
-Constitutional lawyer
This lawyer often represents individuals in discrimination suits, sometimes they can also be seen working as a constitutional law expert at a university. An important thing to note as well however, is that Constitutional lawyers may get involved in civil rights cases, and this is a somewhat more rare achievement for some lawyers!
-Criminal defense lawyer
This position is often frowned upon as some may think these lawyers are all defending pure criminals, however, it is important to keep in mind that, though it may be true, everyone deserves the right of someone defending you, and it is very often that someone innocent is accused of something they didn’t do, in this case, this type of lawyer is your guy. Criminal defense lawyers advocate on behalf of those accused of criminal activity, and is the more common lawyer of srp, as most of Karakura's cases will consist of crime. They ensure that their rights aren’t thrown out the window, and that they aren’t abused in this certain way, reminding them of what to say in certain situations as well, by giving legal advice, like invoking the fith ammendment when speaking to the cops, so they don’t make an accidental slip up, this type of lawyer is the most popular to the common folk, but other positions are worth your while nonetheless!
-Family lawyer
This specific lawyer handels marital assets, child custody, and alimony. But some may also be surprised that this category isn’t only limited to these cases but rather, they can also handle Any cases about domestic relations or family-related issues including adoption and guardianship, they also tend to take care of certain juvenile delinquent matters, as well as cases about child welfare, and more, my mom also has this specific position as a lawyer, and has had many clients that she was able to help!
-Tax lawyer
As for the last lawyer on this list, the tax lawyer, the position my dad has as a lawyer. These lawyers know the tax laws and regulations from their heart. They can often be seen working for corporations, law firms, accounting firms and nonprofit organizations! They’re responsible for doing all the tax planning, interpreting tax law, and the affects it has on their clients, and lastly they take on the task of needing to do a great deal of research. As well as needing to keep updated with the certain tax laws, when they change, and study them, as they indeed do change very often!
This is just a list of the types of lawyers that stood out to me the most, there are many more you can choose from, but these are by far the most interesting, in my opinion!

I do, as, if I’m not suited fort his position it’s a nescessity to be removed from the faction.

I do, and believe I will exceed these expectations easily. I have worked as a political science, and economics professor in Belgium, where I lived together with my family before we moved to Karakura.
When I first got accepted for my position as a professor I was yet to find my great passion for this position and had not many jobs in mind, but teaching what I was tought when I was young, to other students like me. It was later that I had gotten a huge passion for the lawyer position as I saw a few of my students get accused of something I knew they couldn’t be capable of! That’s when I started thinking, and then I decided I wanted to become a lawyer to defend those who can’t defend themselves in court, and get them out of any non-deserved trouble! Then I began applying in Belgium, and later I got accepted, with this change of heart when I had my first case, I imediately felt it, this was what I needed and it was amazing! It was after this, that I started working for a bigger lawyer firm called Stibbe, which tought me even more about the laws and rights everyone has/has to follow. It was later that my family moved to Karakura, it was a little hard for me to leave all my work behind at first but in the end I did go, and I am now searching for a new place to be deployed at for the same position to continue doing my passion! I was a manager at this form and was happy to work there, I had a great pleasure in helping my clients, as a student before all this however I always took sidejobs during my time in the bali, before the bali-exam that I needed to pass to become a certified lawyer. These jobs mainly included: cashier, bartender and being a photographer for hire.
Political background:
I was born in Belgium in a loving family, where both my parents were lawyers. Back when I was little I was always fascinated with their work. I always overheard their calls, their meetings and looked over their work, it made me feel like they were really good people and their work always interested me! When I was around the age of 16 I started watching footage of well known court cases with my parents, this was very inspiring to me back then, this led me to later study political science and major in this. When I graduated from college with my Juris Doctor degree, I applied for a position in a large company and later became a lawyer at the age of 31. When my son, Brandon wanted to move to Karakura the entire family followed to support him, except me, I stayed one year longer in Belgium as I wanted to work one more year there before joining them in Karakura as I was a little nervous and felt like I wanted to have some closure from my job there. Hence why I am now applying for this exact position for Karakura, as I dream of becoming one of the best of Karakura’s lawyers!

What makes you a good candidate for this job?
I am overall a great candadite for this position, thanks to my previous working experiences as a lawyer. my time as a professor also taught me a few things, being: the ability to speak better, I also studied in psychology for this position and thus, know how to see when someone is lying, or what someone is generally thinking at that specific moment, or how they’re feeling. I also have a better understanding of how to explain things in order fort he jury to understand me better as well as my client. I also believe that I’d fit well with this position, because of my early interests for the law, and this position specifically. I look forward to working here as I did in Belgium, as in my point of view, everyone, no matter who you are, deserves someone to defend them! I have also studied for several years to get what I have achieved today, and, I am proud of where I stand. I feel inspired as I feel like the last few court cases I’ve seen really made me miss out on my old job, hence why I’m so motivated for applying once again!
