What's your suggestion?:
Now this is something that I've suggested to the emergency faction, received generally good feedback on and have been directed to the forums to suggest it here.

A thing for a long time with the emergency services and the police department is that we broadcast when more members are needed, right now its a discord channel taken ICLY however I think that a command would work better for in-game activities.

I think that a command such as /embroadcast [message] [KPD/EMS]<-Maybe the more specific divisions or am I asking too much?

The specfifics have been handed over to the emergency suggestions channel as it involves information that is for our factions only you lovely little wanna be metagamers.
BUT!
This will work similar to how a bot does for the tryout role and for some faction things that you've seen before.

TRYOUT ROLE??!?!?! WHAT!!!11!!1!!
Okay so for this I mean that instead of you being pinged directly by a member you are pinged by a bot. Similar to this, if you've been in a faction you've seen that lovely little box (Similar to lets say a classroom starting or an individual being arrested) and THAT would show the officers location, IGN, Callsign and also show us that cutsie little message and what division is needed.
We don't individually format every arrest because we do it so much, shouldn't the same go for broadcasts?
One last thing to note is that, this will not overtake the current systems as some do preffer the discord way - however the use of ingame (Alike what kittypaws stated) can be useful in high speed scenarios or more dangerous places where I'd have to tab out.

How will this benefit the server and community?:
Honestly I think the ability to do this ingame with a command may allow for ease of use as right now we go into the discord, fill in the format and ping whoevers needed. This may be better for the faction as well as there can be IC consequences if you do something wrong or make the wrong broadcast, alarm the wrong people. It could be very viable and better to use for the entire faction. The fact it's such a simple command means that people don't have to type out so much and will save more time when the time is there. We spend enough time filling out the format let alone waiting for the officers / ems to respond and get on.

I remember panicking when I couldnt find the copy paste and a faction member was getting kidnapped. This would save quite a lot of time, though staff would probably have to account for CrimeRP balancing and if the time spent on this idea would be worth it

Sorry, but I'm leaning towards -1, I don't really think it's necessary in my opinion. We have a broadcast channel in the discord for a reason, we don't need a command, or anything fancy. We broadcast for each-other whenever someone is not available or not online, and if no one can come online, you just have to pray and hope nothing goes wrong!

While I am not apart of the factions that would use this (Yet) I feel it could help to have things handled much quicker!

+1 .. I often feel incredibly stressed during situations away from the station that require a broadcast. I don't want to have to tab out to send a broadcast on top of that and possibly miss something (because GangRPers often rush), as I don't have two monitors. I would like a command. Similar to what Yonio said.

+1 I see alot of positives than negatives, although it's not necessary. As a KPD member, you often feel very stressed so if there's a command that can simplify that for us, I say why not? I could see this being used for Code 0 situations, obviously it wouldn't be favorable unlike radioing for another officer to deal with but it would be easier if no other officers were online, etc!

edited,

cba to read ? this shouldnt overtake the current system, for some discords better but i think this should be here for in game too!!

I think this would be really nice to have, but it'd likely become a backburner project if anything. However, I have one thing that this would be best for:

Code-0, this would make doing code-0 way more realistic, especially since most times, you're doing too much to send the code-0 yourself, which can be hard to do sometimes if you're the only officer (or emergency) faction online. But since the code-0 actually comes from the officer themselves, it'd be much more realistic to be able to do the command and it'll send the code-0 alert straight to the em-broadcasts and you don't have to worry about asking anyone to wait a second for you to get the copy-and-paste and put it in!
